For the whole eel hqte 5hing, im guessing its because the dragons eat live fish, so an eel could shock them in the mouth, which would be bad. Thats a pure guess though

Fun thing. All the dragons in the book actually appear in the show and other movies. And I do recommend watching the shows. (You might wanna google the timeline order for the shows and movies if you do plan on watching it. Since one season will take place after the first movie but the next season might take place after HTTYD 2.) this franchise has great lore and the shows have great story’s. And from what I remember it features a macguffin mystery and an amazing villain
