That makes sense yeah he is just starting off and it makes sense that he wouldn’t get it perfect right away. I’m just now imagining that these are the points that the elders would deduct for and try to get him to fix to improve on his rooms. And thanks for the speedy reply! :D

Those are some good points, I guess making the armour out of bone would have been fine as well, to add some familiarity. I think that a specific mission in regards to Ornstein will have to wait, as he did have just one week to do this thing. It's not necessarily just about real adaptive experience, but also just about giving the players an experience of how it is to fight something completely novel, so I think in that it probably succeeded. Feedback was fine, very respectful :=)

Hmmm, my thoughts on this chapter are as follow: I felt the weakest part was where he had to justify using metal and composite materials for his weapon. He could have easily done the same by altering the material to bone and had the experience much more grounded in their reality without seeming “fake” or unrealistic. His argument about the music enhancing the immersion is directly contradicted by using materials that in reality would be like tissue paper to a cultivator. Hence, the cognitive dissonance would end up reducing the degree immersion he is trying to establish. (same with calling it a game vs. mission/scenario/experience) The alien architecture and music can sidestep that by just considering it as a lost ruin or faraway land so there is no issue in that regard. I liked the fight sequence as it showcases the traditional Dark Souls experience and forced the “player” to learn how to manage a novel yet very specific (if unrealistic) foe. Also, maybe it’s just me but I felt that he kinda failed in his goal of teaching real adaptive skills. If he had set a goal or objective he could have taught the user how to back away from a hard to defeat foe, or how to identify and exploit weaknesses in a target. It seemed Orn didn’t have anything like that and learning how to defeat this specific enemy doesn’t provide too much to someone when they leave the scenario. I hope you don’t take my feedback too harshly, only my perspective. I am really enjoying the story so far and the new take on the cultivation genre :)

Introducing the Formsoft frustration rage skill formula a perfect fit for a Xianixia setting.

So how long were the others just standing around watching her?

After rereading it for the fourth time. I can definitely say that I can't wait for the next chapter. ..... Time for round 5

HP is basically on average every 7 days I'd say, and Pokemon every 14. The pokemon chapters are usually twice as long as the HP ones so it checks out

DiscoT

What is the upload schedule like for the HP and Pokemon story?

I'm not mad or anything, just correcting a misconception, but thanks for the support! Glad you like my work. I hope I can keep writing for a very long time.

bor902

Thanks, it seems like it might be a part of the regular roster, I mean we already have 15.000 words which is basically 20% of a average sized novel.

Southmonk

Can't wait for more.

The payments are to support the authors. The nerve of some people! A lot of us subscribe to Nobody (MOL) even when everything he puts out is on RR. Don't worry, keep up the great work and people will support you.
