Chapter 9: You can’t blame me
🕑 Added 2025-08-06 14:49:23 +0000 UTC"Deploy all our forces and eliminate the Uchiha in the village, leaving no one alive."
"Inform Danzo to find a way to discover who released the space-time ninjutsu. He is a priority target.”
“Finally, find out the location where the Uchiha clan members who managed to escape went to and pursue them with the goal of elimination!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen stood up directly and gave the order very decisively.
If the Uchiha stayed inside Konoha, they would be a threat somewhat, but it could always be resolved somehow.
But for the Uchiha to leave Konoha meant that hungry wolves might bite off a large piece of meat from Konoha at any time.
The Uchiha clan's fleeing was something he absolutely could not accept.
This would bring an enemy to Konoha that they would have to always be on guard against.
The Uchiha were vengeful by nature.
‘Forgive me for being this heavy-handed, but you left me no choice…’ He thought in silence.
"Yes!"
Nara Shikaku was also shocked when he heard Sarutobi Hiruzen's words.
But quickly, through Yamanaka Inoichi's ninjutsu, the news was passed directly to the ANBU and Danzo on the front line.
The ANBU who received the news were all very surprised.
Because they also felt that the Uchiha side did not seem to have much fighting intention, but were more focused on containing them.
Therefore, the ANBU actually hadn't attacked too hard, but were more focused on obtaining information and finding out what was going on.
At this time, they received the order from the Third Hokage, and naturally, they could not continue holding back.
After joining the ANBU, they knew what they would face.
Although they didn't know why they were doing this to the Uchiha, they still carried out their orders.
"Has the barrier been broken?"
"There are still ten minutes left for the escape. Although some have gone through already, there are still half remaining. Time is tight!"
Yami stood on the roof of a nearby house, opening his Sharingan to observe the situation outside.
He knew that the next part would be the most difficult to get through.
The portal couldn't be hidden at all, and it could be easily found if the Byakugan was present.
So, from the beginning, Yami chose to place the portal in the most convenient location for escape.
"Third Hokage, you’ve suddenly become more ruthless. Are you planning to wipe out all the Uchiha?"
"Then you can’t blame me."
Yami soon discovered that the battle at the front line became very fierce.
Ninjutsu and explosive tags went off one after another.
He knew that this was the choice Sarutobi Hiruzen made: he didn't want to let them leave.
If Konoha chose to give up on pursuing them this time after knowing the Uchiha's purpose, there would be a chance for peace in the future.
But they didn’t…
But now, Yami didn't have any hesitation.
He directly remotely detonated the Konoha Prison iron doors holding the prisoners in their cells.
There were fewer prisoners here than before, but there was also a large number of rogue ninjas from Konoha locked inside.
At this time, Yami did not hesitate anymore, and chose to release them.
****
Shisui, who was at the forefront, also discovered that these ANBU had begun to attack fiercely.
He dodged a paper bomb kunai, and practically teleported to the side of the Anbu attacking him before he knocked him with the back of his blade.
‘Damn it, Hokage-sama, why can’t you just let us leave…’
His heart sank immediately, knowing that Konoha chose not to let them leave, which made Shisui a little disappointed.
He originally thought that if Konoha knew that the Uchiha were leaving Konoha and did not want a war with the village, Konoha would agree to this.
But now it seemed that he had thought too much.
‘I am stupid… just as Yamikage-san had said,’
‘I will no longer hold back.’
So Shisui's attacks began to become heavier and he no longer held back.
Like a God of Death, he used his extremely fast [Body Flicker Technique] to quickly appear among the ANBU and eliminate them.
He didn’t mind even injuring his opponents, to stop them from moving.
However, he still deliberately spared their lives and did not kill them, but this also made it very difficult for him.
After all, he might have said he wouldn’t hold back, but killing people of his own village was still not something he could do.
****
"Detonate the first layer of defense!"
Fugaku ordered directly.
Konoha had been on guard against them, thinking the Uchiha would arrange something in the village.
Indeed, preparations had been made, but they were all arranged inside the Uchiha compound.
This time, a large number of explosive tags were used.
All these houses that used to be theirs were blown up… yes, the Uchiha wouldn't even leave their houses to Konoha.
They would only get piles of rubble.
Detonating them at this time could also make it more difficult for the ANBU to invade.
And that would be a win to them.
After all, the Uchiha only needed to delay for time.
When evacuating, they had started evacuating from the outermost areas, so there was no one on the periphery now.
"Bang*
Bang
Bang
The shock of the explosive tag explosions almost woke up the entire population of Konoha.
It was after all less than half an hour before dawn, when most people were asleep.
This sudden shock reminded the villagers of Konoha of the tragic night of the Nine-Tails attack, and they ran out of their houses in panic, trying to escape.
****
"Will it be the Hyuga clan's turn next?"
Hyuga Hiashi was not asleep.
He had a grim expression and used his Byakugan to observe the situation in the village.
Naturally, he also discovered that there were more than a dozen ANBU hidden around the Hyuga clan in order to prevent them from having any thoughts about the village.
Seeing these ANBU, Hiashi was very unhappy.
He knew that those people at the top of Konoha never trusted the clans.
‘First it was the Senju, and now it’s the Uchiha…’
After losing their previous targets… namely being the Senju and Uchiha…
He suspected that the next target might very well be the Hyuga clan.
****
"So, this is the Uchiha's plan."
"Their nature is indeed evil!”
"Mobilize all the ninjas,”
“They should all go to the Uchiha compound and engage the rebellious Uchiha!”
“Killing an Uchiha ninja will earn an A-rank mission reward! This should serve as enough motivation to follow orders."
Danzo also learned about the Uchiha clan's plan to use space-time ninjutsu to retreat through the ninja of the Hyuga clan.
This made him regretful.
He felt that it was Sarutobi Hiruzen's hesitation that caused this scene to happen.
If they had taken action earlier, maybe this situation wouldn't have occurred at all.
‘If only I was the Hokage…’
"Yes!"
The five people kneeling on the ground around him immediately left to mobilize more ninja.
"Prepare to deploy combined ninjutsu and destroy the space-time ninjutsu as soon as possible. We cannot let it continue to exist!"
Danzo continued to order.
Just relying on force to get in, he felt that it would be too late.
It wasn't that no one wanted to rush in, but in this darkest time before dawn, the visibility was very poor, though it had almost no impact on the Uchiha clan.
Coupled with the large number of traps deployed, the ANBU were unable to quickly break through the defense line.
Even if they got close, they would be blocked by the Uchiha next to the transmission portal.
So, Danzo was preparing to use a super large long-range attack with combined ninjutsu to destroy what he thought was the space-time ninjutsu.
However, even before Danzo took action, Yami had something up his sleeve.
"[Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique]!"
Yami released three powerful fireball techniques one after another, releasing them in three directions in the sky.
Since no one was attacking him, naturally no one could stop this ninjutsu.
He looked at the sky as he thought to himself.
‘Under Konoha's strict surveillance, it's very troublesome to do anything.’
‘But the weather, as expected, still hasn't been discovered.’
‘Using the [Kirin] developed by future Sasuke and creating a weather ninjutsu with a wider range.’
‘Before we leave this village you made us feel like captives in…’
‘We’ll let Konoha experience what pain is!’
Electricity appeared in Yami's right hand.
But his eyes had turned into the Mangekyō already.
In the past two days, many rain clouds had gathered in the sky, and no one had noticed them at all.
This was Yami slowly evaporating lake water every day, and the clouds slowly forming.
Before yesterday evening, he had directly evaporated a lake in the Uchiha clan territory.
The ninja of Konoha were not aware of this at all.
