This was informative. I’m self employed and a Home owner but we live between two cities. We have an apartment in DC and own in Atlanta. Approval of the rental app was more challenging than mortgage approval because I’m self employed but this helps me understand how property managers evaluate me apartment application. I’m also considering becoming a landlord and if scares my wife to do that without a property manager. Great information here

Great content, I've always been curious about this process. A big grey area for me, if I get into landlording down the road, are the particular rules or standards with the Federal Fair Housing Act but I'll be sure to learn before getting into this area.
