WWE has never outbid AEW for anyone. In fact reportedly Cody Rhodes, the Lucha Brothers, Mariah May, Ricky Starks, Ethan Page, Stephanie Vaquer all took less money than what AEW offered. WWE is too cheap to outbid Tony Khan if money is the only factor in getting David Finlay.
