I wanna go to the universe where Cabs never existed in Grand Theft Auto IV, yet were announced and revealed in a trailer.
I want to go the universe where a game which had one of the most remarkable launches in a video-game history, would in any way be dragged over the coals two years later for not having an alternate Fast Travel method most players would never touch, and before any assumptions are made…

It's really dumb.
Why on earth would you constantly use a symbol of Night City in such early marketing material, posters, trailers, reveals, screenshots, etc, and not lock it down well in advance of release as something to be featured?
It is a big oversight, one which probably happened for the same reason the game shipped with Perks that didn't function, among a list of other things that's longer than all of my Randomly Mine's put together.
In the two years since it's released, the community has even taken it amongst themselves to implement the Metro back into Night City.

…but is it really a selling point?
Is it really something that's going to be the thing that makes people re-install the game and give it a whirl? Is it something that most players are going to use more than once or not at all? Does it take precedent over the writing, driving, shooting, looting, managing, and customizing?
Would the people that bring up such a minor gameplay function in a game as ambitious and expansive as Cyberpunk, stop mentioning it?
I'm reminded of when I asked my friend why he didn't like Mass Effect 2, and the first thing they bring up is how they thought Tali's romance was dumb because she wouldn't actually compromise her immune system to bang Shepard…

I can't help but feel the same way whenever I see these posts about Cyberpunk.
The game had one of the most disastrous launches in gaming history, heel-turned CDPR's public image, cost millions and millions of dollars lost in stock, etc.

I can only assume because, while people won't play the game in its abysmal launch state today, are able to experience it's quests, world, and characters as intended, invest hours and hours of time into developing a character that's completely unique in playstyle; you can always point and say…

The ONE aspiring feature of late 20th century cyberpunk dystopia fiction is that the Japanese capitalists (Arasaka in this case) takeover the world. The Japanese rail network should be the eighth wonder of the world and in Night City what we got was the hideous urban highway futurama bullshit of our real world present day American midwest dystopia. A lack of transit other than cars is another aspect of cyberpunk that CDPR does not understand.
