Curvature Overlay Filter
🕑 Added 2025-03-01 12:36:07 +0000 UTCThis filter is made to boost readability of assets when the lighting conditions are not ideal. With low intensity the effect can be subtle and boost clarity without sacrificing physically accurate values. With higher intensity settings it can be used to create a more stylized look. Easy to use with simple yet versatile controls. Under the hood the filter generates a curvature map from material height and/or normal and overlays that on top of Baked Mesh curvature map (if one is baked) and overlays all that on top of Base Color. As usual, both .sbs and .sbsar files are included if you want to either study how it was made or modify the existing logic.

Installation: Drag and drop the curvature_overlay_filter.sbsar to Substance Painter assets shelf/tab.
