Dutch and Barnaby, Alive at last!
🕑 Added 2022-01-22 20:13:53 +0000 UTCAnother big update coming, lets goooo!
Barnaby Rig
Barnabys rig is finished! I'd like to work on the face textures more to get the more accurate to Barnaby, but I'm happy with the final result

It's hard to make the features not float off the face and still animate, but I think they fit the Barnaby logic!

Barnaby hand rig!

Shader test for Barnaby's material. I want his darker colour to look like an infinite galaxy
Dutch's Model
Dutch's model is done!

Oscar's new model is coming along, we're experimenting with giving him wings that will unlock during gameplay, allowing him to hovering and glide alongside Billie.
Flying Mount
An unlockable flying mount used in the final portion of Dutch's chapter! Fly around the giant floating resort on this bat mount. Easy to retrace your steps after you've completed the first two acts.

Alternative Billies?
This an idea we are currently playing with as we write the design documents for Barnaby. It's not 100% yet although we're very attached to the idea. I want to check to make sure it's all feasible with our animator and rigger.
The concept involves different Billies from different universes, coming together in Barnaby's level. Play as different variants of Billie to explore different gameplay styles. Here are some concepts for alternative Billies!

PLAY
Uses scratch audio by Sam and Ash. There was a lot of a laughter and silliness during the recording that we decided to keep in. Of course it will be swapped out by the real voice actors down the line.
You can also leave mid convo, needs some tweaking but we know how to fix it using FMOD (the program we use for our music segments)

Some dialogue animations for Aristotle in this scene, as he is too injured to stand during this point of the story.

Test UI ideas, a lot of them are too complex for dialogue UI so we went for something simple

Some concepts from the airport that connects you to Dutch's hotel.

Elaine's song is going well! Here is a sneak peak at some of the lyrics
(spoken) Now… where are you, you little rat!
You can’t have gotten far.
I know you’re around here somewhere.
Now come out, come out
Wherever you are…
(singing to herself, intense) I watch the clock keep ticking, ticking
So many walls stand in my way
I carry on just kicking, kicking
The only hope one step away
CHORUS
(And) I won’t let another chance slip through my grasp
Won’t miss this chance to prove
I’ll find you if it’s the last
Thing I do
Won’t let another hope slip away now
I need this more than you
This magic is the only way how
The curse is through! (ALT: This dream comes true)
(frustrated, throwing things) ARG!! Where ARE you!??
