Prologue is Shaping Up! Testing Soon!
🕑 Added 2021-01-24 22:46:25 +0000 UTCIt's amazing how fast the game is progressing now we have some funding! Let's get into this week's updates! I'll try to update often but sometimes I worry I'll spam your email, so I'm going to try and keep the updates to each fortnight that are lengthier, rather than frequent shorter updates. Let me know if you have a preference!
The song is coming along well, the piano demo is currently being tweaked more but the current plan has it finished before the end of this month, and Aristotle's finished by the end of February. Whilst we wait we've been preparing the troll boss fight for testing and blocking out the prologue, along with preparing concept art for it.
Escaping the Village
A- Residential Area and market
B- Farmland
C- Forest
D- Mining area
Magic mist protects the area
A view of Billie's home town
Village house studies
A closer look at the belltower and some lighting studies! Billie will be sneaking out after curfew with her friends in search of a troll!
I've also been live-streaming the 3D models for the goat citizens, as they will be patrolling the streets below as the trio platform over the rooftops to the village gate. Please feel free to join me! We have a ton of fun on these streams and it keeps me working hard
We have a few more goat sculpts to come that I'll be making on Livestream again later today
Lily's Dads', Louis and Paul!
Lily's sculpt!
Lou's sculpt!
Rammy's Sculpt!
The Forest
The forest is a dangerous and enchanted place, usually forbidden to the goats to enter. Billie and her friends explore often to study the magical inhabitants and plant life.
The troll boss is progressing nicely and should be ready for testing very very soon
You'll also be meeting Aristotle soon after the boss fight, just in time for a musical introduction 🎶
Colour studies
Stunflower initial concept
A Stunflower sculpt!
Aristotle's model has a slight upgrade also
A cute Aristotle walk cycle for reference with his upcoming rig and animation
Cat Pirates
And a short section for the cat pirates! We've reworked the story for this level very slightly, being one of our first levels that was conceived long long before the team was fully assembled, we felt it needed some slight rework to bring it up to speed with the rest of the levels. I'm now very excited to share this level with you in the future.
This includes reworking some of the designs, like this smuggler lad, Scrimshaw! He will be selling you lots of cute pirate knickknacks, for a price of course!
Before!
After!
That's it for this week's update! See you soon<3
