"Hehehe, it worked! Whew~ When he walked to the bed, I thought it had failed and I was really nervous... but it worked out. Now, let’s see... put these cuffs on his wrists... Ugh, what’s with this bracelet? Having to put it on over another is so annoying."
Jake put the mana-suppressing cuffs on Yuno’s wrists and tried to move him, but Yuno’s body was far too heavy for him to move alone, so he just covered him with a blanket to hide him.
After that, he called in his waiting accomplices outside and, forging the corps commander’s orders, brought all of Baron Kreis’s captured family into Yuno’s tent.
"Wh-why are you bringing us here? The prince of Balkan promised our safety..."
Slap!
"Where does a Teseito wench get off talking back? If you don’t want your son to die, take off your clothes right now."
Jake and his accomplices held a knife to the neck of the baron’s only son, who was about ten years old, and threatened them.
"Are you planning to break the promise your prince made on his honor?"
"Hehe, our prince? Our prince is sound asleep and won’t see any of this... so who cares?"
Jake lifted the blanket, showing the women Yuno’s sleeping form with his wrists cuffed, and the women fell into despair.
"Hehe, if you entertain us well, we’ll keep the prince’s promise, so don’t worry..."
In the end, Baron Kreis’s wife, concubine, and daughter were forced to spread their legs for them, and the men, consumed by lust, assaulted them.
Yuno’s tent was filled with the women’s cries, moans of pain, and the men’s laughter of desire.
But they didn’t know that Yuno’s superhuman body was already rapidly detoxifying the sleeping drug.
By dawn, the three women’s bodies were completely covered in blood and semen. Not satisfied with just one orifice, the men violated them in every way, tearing their bodies and leaving them bleeding.
"Whew~ I’m sore. Even after a night of sex, it wasn’t enough, thanks to that Yuno bastard."
"Hehe, but it’s about time to wrap things up."
"Yeah, let’s stop for now. From the next conquest, we can do whatever we want, so let’s call it a day, haha."
They picked up their swords and approached the women, who were so drained they could barely move.
"I knew it... you bastards were never going to keep your promise... Hahaha, Balkan’s end must be near. With nobles this rotten, the country will fall soon, haha..."
Baron Kreis’s wife left those words as her last will before Jake plunged his sword into her heart. The concubine and daughter met the same fate, and the ten-year-old son died in his mother’s arms.
"Tsk... their bodies were at least decent, what a waste."
"Well, it can’t be helped. We have to convince the soldiers. Let’s go! Before it gets any brighter, we’ll announce that these people killed Yuno, and Jake will be the new corps commander."
They began putting their uniforms back on to cover up the situation.
At that moment, Yuno threw off the blanket and got up from bed.
"Yaaawn~ That drink Jake gave me really worked... Hm, what’s that smell?"
Yawning, Yuno noticed a strange smell in his tent and looked around.
What he saw were the mangled corpses of Baron Kreis’s family, whom he had promised to protect, and Jake’s group standing there in shock.
"Hmm... Jake? Care to explain? Why are the people I promised to protect dead, and why did you and your lot rape them in my tent? You’d better explain, or I’ll tear you all apart."
Filled with rage, Yuno tried to channel his aura, but when his mana wouldn’t rise, he looked at his arms and saw unfamiliar cuffs. Jake and his group started giggling.
"Ah~ Hehehe, Your Highness the Third Prince... What’s wrong? Can’t do what you want? Why don’t you use your aura and tear us apart? Hehehe."
"You bastards..."
"Don’t worry, Your Highness... We won’t kill you for now. Not until we show the Crown Prince proof that you conspired with Teseito to start a rebellion. Hehehe."
"Hmph... How long have you been planning this?"
"Oh! For me, it was since you didn’t give me that woman yesterday... but my friends have been at it much longer. If you’d accepted my offer, none of this would have happened. You see what happens when you show mercy? Hehehe."
"I see... then I shouldn’t show mercy to you either. Good lesson."
"Hehe, stop bluffing and get in this sack huh?"
Crack, crack, crack
When Yuno flexed his arms, the mana-suppressing cuffs tore like paper, and his arms were freed.
"Wha... How..."
"Hmph! Did you think I became a master just by training mana? You really thought you could restrain me with a bracelet like that? You’ve really underestimated a master."
Yuno rolled his wrists, stretching his joints, and slowly approached them.
"Come on! You told me not to show mercy... If any of you can withstand a single punch from me, I’ll spare your life on my honor. Haaa!"
Boom!
With one punch, the man on the far right, who had been reaching for his sword, had his head blown apart.
"Next? Come at me all at once, I don’t care!"
Despite Yuno’s words, Jake’s group just trembled in fear as Yuno drew closer.
"W-we’re sorry, Your Highness!! We were blinded by greed and made a mistake!!"
"Please forgive us, Your Highness!! Spare our lives..."
They threw down their swords and knelt, begging for mercy.
"Hmm? You’ve committed every major crime attempted regicide, mutiny, disobeying orders in wartime and you want to live? Like I said, if you can take a punch, I’ll spare you. Get up."
"Y-Your Highness! If you kill us, our families won’t stand for it!!"
"That’s right! We admit our fault, but we’ll reflect on this and keep quiet from now on, so... ugh!!"
Yuno snorted, grabbed the mouth of the man at the front, and slowly pulled it open.
"Ah~ So noisy. Didn’t you hear me? If you can take a punch, you live. That’s your only chance. So hurry up."
"Heh... heh... aaaaagh!!"
Crack
In the end, Yuno tore the man’s mouth apart, his jaw falling off his face. Kicking the writhing man aside, Yuno gathered his aura.
"If you don’t attack by the count of three, I’ll tear you all apart with my aura. Three... two..."
"Aaaaagh!!"
"Kill him!!!"
Driven by terror, the remaining four grabbed fallen swords and charged Yuno.
"What’s this? You call that swordsmanship? Even my mage sister could do better than that."
Yuno dodged and mocked them without counterattacking. The commotion in the tent drew the guards, who were shocked to see Jake’s group attacking Yuno, the prince and corps commander.
"Listen up, soldiers! These men just attempted to kill their superior and a royal. By my authority as corps commander, I will execute them on the spot. Anyone object?"
Yuno announced in a voice filled with mana, and the soldiers shouted in unison.
"Execution! Execution!! Execution!!"
"Then I’ll carry it out myself. Fabian Spence, guilty of attempted regicide, attempted murder of a superior, mutiny, and disobeying orders in wartime. Sentence: death!"
Boom!
With one punch, Yuno blew off the head of a man who had been swinging his sword, exhausted.
"Ulrich Weldrich, same charges. Sentence: death!"
Boom!
Another head exploded, followed by a third.
"Jake, you’re the last one. You were my lieutenant... any last words?"
"Y-Your Highness... all I did was give you the drugged drink... They talked me into it... Please spare me..."
"Hmm~ Not convincing. Think of a better excuse before I finish off the guy with the torn jaw."
As Yuno prepared to finish off the jawless man, Jake tried to attack him from behind.
"Die!!!"
Clang!
"Huh? Blocked it?"
As a master, Yuno easily deflected Jake’s attack, but Jake still smiled.
"Hmm? Jake? Why are you smiling?"
"Your Highness! Didn’t you promise on your honor to spare anyone who could withstand a punch? The honor of royalty is heavy, you know!"
Yuno also smiled.
"Yeah, I know... I know exactly how heavy a royal’s honor is. But you all already dragged that honor into the gutter. So I have no honor left... hehehe."
Jake’s face turned pale.
"Jake Hazelmere, guilty of attempted regicide, attempted murder of a superior, mutiny, disobeying orders in wartime, wartime rape, and murder of civilians. Sentence: death!"
Rip! Rip!
Unlike the others, Yuno didn’t just explode Jake’s head he grabbed his torso and tore off his limbs one by one.
"Aaaaagh!! Why... why... ugh!!"
As Jake screamed in agony, Yuno replied calmly.
"I never trusted the others, but you stabbed me in the back. And you’re the one who sullied my honor, so you get a fitting punishment."
"If people find out you killed me so brutally... my family won’t stand for it..."
"Heh... What’s a count’s family going to do? And you think the Count of Hazelmere will risk his whole house for a traitorous second son? They’d risk the whole family being wiped out."
"Th-that... ugh..."
"Guards! Tie this man’s body to a pole in the middle of camp to show the severity of military law! And make sure he can’t die peacefully stop the bleeding on his limbs!"
Jake, bleeding from his torn-off limbs, fell into despair as his wounds were bandaged.
He was hoisted up on a pole and died in agony three hours later.
Yuno then ordered the soldiers to carefully collect the bodies of Baron Kreis’s family.
"I’m sorry. Because I let my guard down, I couldn’t keep my promise made on my honor. But I promise myself this will never happen again, Baron Kreis."
He also ordered that Baron Kreis’s own body, who had committed suicide as the price of surrender, be buried respectfully with his family, and quietly apologized at his grave.
Although it was his first time killing, Yuno didn’t feel much shock, perhaps due to his intense anger, or as Catherine had warned.
As he held the funeral for the Kreis family, Yuno felt the horrors of war anew and resolved that, in any war he participated in, he would do his utmost to minimize non-combatant casualties.
