Looking back, there were signs.
I had attacked hard golems, and my sword had been chipped by the giant wolf’s assault.
But for it to break at this exact moment-what terrible timing.
The succubus smiled as she looked at me, now weaponless.
“What are you going to do?”
Given what she’d shown, there was no way I could face her with a broken sword. Even at my best, I couldn’t guarantee victory-if I fought her now, I’d definitely lose.
Damn...
Maybe I should try to buy some time.
“Can I reconsider your earlier offer?”
The succubus’s smile deepened.
She gave a small laugh and sat down, crossing her legs.
“Heh... fine. I’ll overlook your arrogance just this once.”
How generous.
For now, I had no choice but to pretend to cooperate and wait for a better opportunity.
“You said you needed someone to replace your last subordinate, right?”
“That’s right. The last one was so useless I killed him out of frustration.”
“I appreciate the honesty.”
The being before me made no effort to hide her true feelings.
Her attitude was simply that if I refused, she’d just find someone else.
“So what exactly do you want me to do?”
“What I’m asking isn’t that hard.”
“People always say that when it’s actually a pain.”
“Do you think I’m on the same level as humans you’re used to?”
Well... if she kills her subordinates just for being incompetent, she’s probably even worse.
She’s not human-her way of thinking is different from ours.
“Let’s hear it, then.”
“It’s really nothing. I just want you to fight on our side. You’re pretty strong, so you’d be a valuable asset.”
So, she wanted to use my combat ability.
That’s probably all I’d be good for.
But “our side”...?
“‘Our’? So there are others besides you?”
“Want to know? If you do, there’s no turning back.”
Her gaze sharpened. Just meeting her eyes made cold sweat break out.
“You don’t intend to let me go if I refuse, right? Since we’re in the same boat, it’s better for both of us if I know everything.”
“Heh heh...”
Her unsettling laughter echoed in my ears.
After a while, the succubus stood up and strode over to me.
“Looks like you have a good eye.”
She came right up to me.
Her sweet, dizzying scent calmed my nerves.
Her sensual body stirred up lewd thoughts.
As expected of a succubus.
The ominous, chilling aura that had wrapped around me moments ago now felt like an illusion.
The more I tried to steel my mind and body, the more relaxed I became, as if forced.
Is this the seduction of a succubus I’d heard about?
It wasn’t enough to stop me from fighting, but I couldn’t help but feel my tension slipping away.
“Since we’re on the same side now, I’ll tell you straight.”
“Alright. I came here under someone’s orders to take over this country.”
“And who is that?”
“Among us, there are many names, but the one you’d know best is ‘Demon King.’”
Demon King.
The classic final boss from legends and fairy tales.
There are many types, but they’re always depicted as strong and evil, the hero’s enemy.
“Didn’t expect that name.”
“Humans think he’s just a story, but he’s real.”
Things were getting complicated.
It meant defeating her wouldn’t end things.
If I had to guess, the Demon King was probably even stronger than her.
“Alright. I’ll fight for the Demon King’s side.”
“Oh my, how reliable. If you join us, the Demon King will grant you a powerful weapon instead of that useless sword.”
With a seductive movement, the succubus pressed her body close.
Her sweet, intense scent made me feel good, whether I wanted to or not.
She gently picked up my broken sword.
Gurgle-
The sword melted like black slime and dripped onto the floor.
It was probably a warning: if I betrayed them, I’d be easily disposed of.
My sword, now a shapeless liquid.
Even as I thought it was creepy, my mind and body felt oddly calm, as if it were someone else’s problem.
Barely keeping my focus, I spoke.
“Before that...”
“...?”
“You said if I joined you, you’d grant any wish, right?”
The succubus gave a seductive smile and whispered softly in my ear.
“Of course. Just say it. Anything, even things forbidden among humans. Or money? Power?”
Her sweet whisper, combined with everything else, was truly the devil’s temptation.
Any man without strong will would fall for it easily.
“I’m not interested in money or power.”
“Then women? Just say the word, and any noble’s daughter can be made your slave.”
Given the situation, I had to do what I do best.
“It’s similar, but what I want is a bit different.”
For the first time, she looked puzzled.
Would this work? No choice but to try.
“It’s not a bad deal for you, either. What I want is you.”
Her expression shifted from confusion to surprise.
“That’s unexpected.”
“It’s not a difficult request, is it? Even if it’s inefficient, you can absorb energy that way, right? If a succubus can’t do at least this, maybe I should look elsewhere.”
I put on a show of bravado and pushed her pride. It seemed to work; after a moment’s hesitation, she replied:
“Fine. I’ll do that much. But when the time comes for an all-out war with humans, you’d better prove your worth.”
“If I get to hold a beauty like you, that’s a small price.”
Good, she bought it... If I can at least make her climax, the special power I gain might give me an opening.
“And one last thing.”
“Go ahead.”
The most important thing is the concept of “energy.”
If her ability to absorb energy means she can drain my strength, that would be a problem.
Even if it’s less efficient, the stronger I get, the more she could take back.
“If you absorb my energy, I won’t get weaker or anything, right?”
“Not at all. If that were the case, we’d just go around draining men left and right. Think of it like a potion.”
A relief, at least.
It didn’t seem like she’d get stronger from it.
“Alright. So can I get my reward right away?”
“I needed energy to transform again anyway. Trying it this way should be interesting.”
Her words sounded odd.
Could it be she has no experience?
“Don’t tell me you’ve never actually slept with a man before?”
“I told you. Succubi who absorb energy that way went extinct centuries ago. Dream absorption is much faster.”
A smile crept onto my face.
I thought I was in trouble, but things were turning out to be fun.
“What’s with that look? You’re getting cocky.”
“Sorry about that.”
“Succubi are naturally gifted, so you’d better be ready.”
She glared at me, as if lightly protesting.
But to me, she just seemed arrogant.
After all the times I’ve done this since coming to this world,
to face off in my best field-no wonder I couldn’t stop smiling.
Succubi are often compared to demons or devils, right?
Let’s see who wins when my devilish skills go up against hers.
I was brimming with confidence and anticipation.
“Ready, huh... Fine. I’ll make sure you enjoy it more than you expect.”
The succubus moved seductively and lay down on the bed... her posture and gaze were openly provocative.
“I’ve isolated the room with magic, so don’t hold back-enjoy yourself as much as you want. If I run out of energy, I might have to go collect more, though.”
Her condescending tone.
Unfortunately for her, there’s no way I’ll let her leave this room midway.
She won’t get away.
I might even break my own record for longest sex.
“I’ll try to make sure that doesn’t happen. But you have to stay until I say I’m satisfied.”
“Don’t embarrass yourself by quitting halfway.”
They say crisis is another opportunity.
I used to think that was nonsense, but sometimes it’s true-like a broken clock being right twice a day.
Now, I was filled with a spirit of challenge.
I was determined to make this arrogant succubus beg for pleasure.
“Before we get started, I’d at least like to know your name. Even a succubus must have one, right?”
“Call me Lilith. Normally, as your superior, I’d expect respect, but I’ll make an exception for you.”
“Thanks for that.”
Get ready, Lilith.
I followed my burning desire and climbed onto the bed.
