Taking the throne was simple.
To be honest, it was surprising even to me, the supposed enemy.
While it’s normal for nobles to follow their own interests, I doubted that public support could be so nonexistent.
“I guess my worries weren’t unfounded.”
King Brutus was not a respected figure.
It’s hard to even call him competent.
If he had been, there wouldn’t have been things like bandit gangs in the first place.
Even Eriz openly plotted rebellion.
Most of the domestic turmoil was the king’s own fault.
“Thanks to his lack of popularity, I don’t have much to worry about.”
Overturning the throne is usually a difficult and busy task.
But because of the king’s incompetence, I’m just lazing around.
‘Anyway, Eriz and Milleille are taking care of all the bothersome stuff.’
I just show up now and then to lend my support.
If I lend the “Hero” title, the actual work is left to the two beauties.
Unlike me, the two of them live quite busy lives.
“Maybe I should hang out with someone in a similar situation…”
As I was pondering who to visit,
the bedroom door opened slowly.
“Are you here…?”
The one who appeared was a beautiful woman with black hair.
It was Satiana, who’s been dropping by often lately.
Unlike me, she actually has things to do.
“You’ve been coming by a lot these days?”
“If I didn’t come here, I’d go crazy from frustration.”
Yeah, that makes sense.
Satiana is the Demon King.
She has to go through a lot to cooperate with humans.
Even just lending her face, she has more to do than I do.
“You brought a few clever aides too, didn’t you?”
“Ugh…! Those guys…! They said it was important for me to know these things myself…!”
Seems I touched on a sore memory.
Her loyal subordinates didn’t seem interested in making the Demon King a puppet.
“Rough times, huh.”
“How can you, with your grand title of Hero, just laze around here all day!”
“That’s thanks to Eriz looking out for me in a lot of ways.”
And probably Milleille too.
Even if I were in charge, there’s no guarantee I’d do it well.
The name “Hero” is heard all over, but I only show up for really important occasions.
“Ugh…! Is it really okay for the king of a nation to be so carefree!”
“I’m just a king who likes to relax. Queen Eriz handles all the real work.”
After everything was over, Eriz immediately held her coronation.
The event, combined with our wedding, went off smoothly.
Of course, there were some who harbored resentment.
But no one dared to say so to my face.
“I’m dying from being so busy with Milleille and Eriz…!”
“It’s for a peaceful world, isn’t it? Do your best, Demon King.”
“You’re the last person who should say that!”
Looking at Satiana’s face, I got curious.
I see Milleille and Eriz sometimes because of work, but I hardly see anyone else.
“By the way, how are Flora and Aliya doing?”
Right now, I can’t just leave the palace whenever I want.
It’s a busy time, so I have to stay in the royal palace.
There may not be any idiots plotting rebellion, but things aren’t stable yet, and wandering around would just make things more annoying.
Especially, Flora and Aliya can’t just come into the palace whenever they want.
“They’re both doing well.”
“That’s good. Are they busy too?”
“Aliya is helping the beastkin settle and working to erase prejudice. She seemed really busy, even to me.”
“And Flora?”
I’d heard the Adventurer’s Guild was busy too.
It’s normal for everyone to be busy in such chaotic times.
Of course, I’m living a comfortable life thanks to the women around me.
“I heard she’s going to become the guild master.”
“Guild master?”
Usually, the guild master is an old man.
At the very least, it’s usually a burly uncle.
“That’s unusual.”
“I heard it’s part of a plan to solidify royal authority.”
“Ah… so they’re planting an ally at the top of the guild.”
“More like making her the boss so she can be used as a right hand.”
…It was only natural that I hardly ever saw anyone.
The only real joy was when Satiana, who was in the palace, had some free time to visit.
Even Eintri was hard to see because she was busy with guard duty.
“Having free time is nice, but it’s boring when there’s no one to hang out with.”
“Anyone else would call that spoiled nonsense, idiot.”
“But at least today, I have someone to hang out with, right?”
There was no need to get up from the bed.
Just making eye contact and smiling at Satiana was enough.
“…You pervert.”
She said that, but her body was honest.
Satiana’s hand reached behind her, and soon there was the sound of the door being locked.
Now the bedroom was a perfectly sealed room.
“I even put up a soundproofing spell just for you.”
“You really only work hard for weird things…”
I brushed off Satiana’s complaints lightly.
Honestly, even if it seems trivial, it’s pretty important.
You can’t have the Demon King’s moans leaking from the king’s bedroom.
That would obviously lead to bad rumors.
“I just bought something good from Kaela.”
“How does that woman even get in here!”
Kaela was a mysterious merchant.
She was the only one who could sneak into the royal palace.
Of course, I helped her a bit, but even so, her skills were impressive.
“They say she’s excellent at finding customers.”
“It’s not another suspicious item like last time, is it?”
“…I can’t say it’s not.”
It’s one of the few pleasures I have.
Sometimes Kaela would visit and we’d enjoy all sorts of play.
Afterward, I’d use what I bought with Satiana.
If I didn’t have even these small joys, I’d have run from the palace by now.
“T-the last tool was too much! I couldn’t move even when Milleille called for me…”
“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you recover properly.”
“Don’t tell me you put up the soundproofing spell just to do something weird?”
She’s gotten sharp from experience.
Now she can tell what I’m planning right away.
But that doesn’t mean she refuses.
“This is what a hero is like… ugh…”
“I’m not just a hero, I’m a king too.”
“Even kings should learn a little self-control!”
“I’ll learn next time, so let it slide.”
Satiana obediently approached the bed.
Her face looked a bit annoyed, but her cheeks were flushed.
“J-just this once…!”
“Oh… that reminds me, there’s something I need to undo.”
There was no need for contract magic anymore.
Eintri’s had been undone long ago.
Now it was Satiana’s turn.
“Huh…? Undo what?”
“The contract magic. We’re unofficially married now, and we’ll be close from now on, so there’s no need for that spell.”
“Undoing it is… fine, but…”
Satiana looked a bit displeased.
Up until now, she could use it as an excuse.
She could say she had no choice but to obey because of the contract magic.
But she didn’t need that excuse anymore.
“Alright, I’ll undo it.”
The release was simple.
The contract circle emerged from Satiana’s body and shattered.
“Ugh… with this…”
“The contract magic is gone. Now, whatever you do is your own free will.”
I couldn’t force her anymore.
The woman before me was a Demon King equal to the hero.
Unless it was a sneak attack, she wouldn’t submit easily.
“So… will you show me your skirt?”
“Why would you ask after undoing the contract magic…”
“Because I want to see you do it of your own will?”
I teased, and Satiana’s eyes wavered.
She didn’t seem to hate it, but embarrassment was another matter.
“You bad guy… you’re not even a hero…”
“Not going to show me?”
“I-I’ll show you, okay…!”
In the end, Satiana grabbed her skirt.
Her face flushed even redder.
The way her trembling hands lifted the skirt was breathtaking.
“See… you’re always beautiful.”
She wasn’t wearing any underwear.
Her pink slit was clearly visible.
I hadn’t ordered her to do that-there was no command not to wear panties.
“Why aren’t you wearing underwear?”
“Because… ugh…!”
Her intentions were obvious.
If she was coming to my room, she must have expected to be taken.
It was cute how her true feelings were so transparent.
“It doesn’t really matter, does it…!”
“I guess not.”
What mattered was that she acted on her own.
Now, the Demon King was completely lost in pleasure.
No one but me could satisfy her.
“I got a really strong aphrodisiac from Kaela. Can I use it?”
“You’ll use it even if I say no…”
“You know me well. Come here and lie down.”
Despite her words, Satiana looked happy.
With a face full of anticipation, she threw herself onto the bed.
“Ugh… you’ll go down in history as the hero with the most descendants ever…!”
The words she whispered in my arms were, to anyone, a compliment.
