"Seong-ah, am I making you uncomfortable?"
"Huh? Ah, no..."
"Don't lie. Everything about your tone and actions is so damn awkward."
"Ah... ah..."
Jun-ha threatened Heo Seong-ah, saying he didn't like her attitude.
Just yesterday, he had treated her as female livestock and tormented her, so wouldn't it be stranger if she acted normal now?
"S-sorry..."
Heo Seong-ah shrank back, frowning.
She didn't know how to react.
She didn't know what to say.
Pretending to be a loving couple and whispering unwanted words of love was so exhausting it made her sick.
"I'm disappointed, Seong-ah. I did all this because I love you."
"Uh... sorry..."
"Forget it. You're not even sorry."
To have her, Jun-ha had swallowed his pride and called his estranged father for a favor.
He'd stayed up all night studying about female livestock, something he never cared about before.
He studied eagerly every day, trying to figure out how to make her obedient, what methods would work best for training...
"I’m really disappointed."
Every time he saw Seong-ah not returning his affection, Jun-ha felt a deep sense of loss.
Why wouldn't she open her heart?
What was he doing wrong?
He’d never shown so much affection to anyone before, so he couldn’t understand why Seong-ah reacted this way.
"Seong-ah, do you just want to go back to being livestock?"
"No!!! I-I like it now!!"
Hearing Jun-ha’s sudden words, Seong-ah frantically shook her head and shouted.
To be told to go back to being female livestock now was nothing but cruel.
"Seong-ah, you’re human now, right?"
"Uh? Yeah..."
"What did I say you had to become in order for me to make you human?"
"Y-your girlfriend... you said to be your girlfriend..."
"Right. But you’re not acting like my girlfriend at all."
"Ah... th-that’s..."
Jun-ha, on the verge of tears, made a sorrowful face.
Ironically, it was Seong-ah who wanted to cry her eyes out, but she couldn’t even understand the situation and could only give a hollow laugh.
Seriously...
Who does he think he is...
Why does he think he can just take someone else's feelings?
"It’s fine. I’m okay, Seong-ah. I’m sure one day you’ll truly love me, right?"
With teary eyes, the affection-starved, psychopathic, rich loser smiled and picked up a small pill bottle.
The pills from the communal facility.
Whenever he used those, Seong-ah would whisper love and pant in pleasure, drugged out of her mind.
Just like she would dream happily in a daze, Jun-ha could also enjoy his own happy dream while using her.
"Let’s take the pill and have some intimate love? Isn’t that what you wanted?"
"Ah, uh... no! I love you even now, Jun-ha!"
Forcing a smile, Seong-ah clung to Jun-ha and hugged him tightly.
But even this fake act didn’t soften his heart.
"Let’s take the pill?"
"Uuuh..."
It was a drug that increased obedience to her master...
It could control psychological fear, but it could never dominate the ultimate emotion of "love."
Unless you could directly manipulate the brain or use hypnosis, it was impossible.
"Come here."
"J-Jun-ha... I really do love you."
"Liar."
Terrified of taking the pill, Seong-ah whispered love with a frightened face.
Just a tiny pill.
Why did it matter so much...
Every time she took it, she’d get dizzy and lose her memory like she was blackout drunk.
Her body would heat up, and she’d lose control, becoming a sex-crazed slut.
She’d realize her own vulgar actions unconsciously, but with her body no longer her own, she’d obey every command.
Her mind would go blank, filled only with pleasure and climax.
If this kept happening, she felt she’d become a mindless orgasm addict.
That’s why...
She was so scared...
"You say you love me?"
"Yeah..! I really love you!"
"Really?"
After confirming several times, a smile spread on Jun-ha’s lips.
Even if it was a blatant lie, hearing Seong-ah say she loved him made him happy.
That’s how much he truly loved her.
Clatter-
Opening the pill bottle, Jun-ha sighed as he saw only three pills left.
"Already used so many..."
There were only three chances left to turn Seong-ah into a sex-crazed fool.
With some regret, Jun-ha closed the bottle.
"Okay, Seong-ah. Since you said you don’t want it, I won’t use the pill."
"Th-thank you... I love you, Jun-ha..."
"Me too~"
Smiling, Jun-ha stroked her cheek.
"Then can I check how much you love me?"
"Huh? Yeah..! As much as you want! I really mean it..!"
"Okay. Got it."
Jun-ha went to his room and came back with A4 paper and a pen.
He placed the paper on the living room table and handed Seong-ah a pencil.
She tilted her head, not understanding what he wanted.
"From now on, there will be three tests."
"Huh..?"
"If you pass all three, I’ll never doubt your feelings again and will truly believe you love me."
"Okay..."
"And if you really have what it takes to be my girlfriend... I’ll go to the communal facility tomorrow and have your female livestock branding removed."
"Huh..? R-really..?"
"Yeah. I don’t lie."
He had to visit the facility anyway to get more pills.
If Seong-ah truly loved him, Jun-ha planned to generously have the IC chip removed from her body.
"Then I’ll be human?"
"Not exactly, but you’ll live much more freely than now."
"O-okay..?"
The status of female livestock couldn’t legally be erased until the criminal sentence was served.
Still, the livestock branding (IC chip) could be removed at the owner’s discretion, but that didn’t mean true freedom.
It just meant the GPS and electric shock functions would be gone, and she’d regain some physical freedom.
Even if it sounds like "just that," the absence of GPS and shock functions means a significant recovery of rights for a female livestock.
"Why? Don’t you want that?"
"No!! I want it!!"
Without realizing, Seong-ah’s face stiffened. She squeezed her eyes shut, then forced a smile, sticking out her tongue in a gesture of obedience.
"Okay. Then let’s start the test?"
"Yeah.!!"
Gripping the pencil, Seong-ah swallowed hard.
Thinking this was the most important test of her life, her nervousness showed on her face.
A test to become human?
It sounded dramatic, but it wasn’t that hard.
"Draw our future together."
"Huh..?"
Jun-ha gave her an abstract prompt and started the stopwatch on his phone.
"If you really love me, you can do this easily, right?"
"R-right... I really do love you... I do..."
She had only pledged false love to escape immediate pain.
She couldn’t even imagine a future with Jun-ha, so she gripped the pencil and lowered her head.
"Uuuk..."
She stared at the blank page, her face frozen like stone.
No matter how hard she glared at the paper, no answer came.
"You have one hour. Every 10 minutes, I’ll draw a penalty note. If you don’t want painful punishment, draw quickly."
"Hhic.!!"
Jun-ha called the notes in the jar they made together "penalties."
She hadn’t misheard; she finally realized it.
Unlike her, who had written a genuine couple’s bucket list, Jun-ha had written only punishments for female livestock from the start.
"Hhuuuk..."
He says he wants a loving girlfriend?
It’s nonsense.
All Jun-ha wanted was a sex slave who would love him endlessly and couldn’t live without him.
Realizing this, she found it even harder to imagine a future with him.
"Ten minutes are up. First penalty."
"Hhic..!"
"You’d better hurry. Of course, I don’t mind if you take your time."
Jun-ha plunged his arm into the jar and pulled out one of his own notes, leaving it unopened by his phone, then reached in again.
He was sure she wouldn’t be able to draw anything even after 20 minutes.
"Huu..."
Draw a future together?
No need to overthink it.
For an abstract question, give an abstract answer.
Steeling herself, Seong-ah started drawing at random with her pencil.
