EXP Update - March 10th, 2025

It’s Chris here, with an update on what we’ve been up to here at EXP.

Here’s a quick update of what we’ve launched during our first month (it’s already been a month!) on Patreon, and a little about what’s coming up next month. Plus, read on for some insight into the identity of our new expert!

Extended Episodes
We’re particularly proud of our Extended Episodes, and so pleased at how they’ve been received. These are like super in-depth versions of the regular episodes, and their extended length gives us more time to get into the nitty-gritty of the stuff Jonathan is talking about.
Longer, more detailed episodes are something we’ve wanted to do for ages, and hopefully they’re striking the right balance between informative and entertaining - even when they’re over an hour long as in the cases of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 and Sniper Elite: Resistance.

The Extended Episodes are also something that simply wouldn’t work without support from our Patrons - having their support means we can take the time to make those more indulgent episodes, and not worry about how the extended length affects how our channel perform within YouTube’s algorithm.
It’s worth noting that the public, and Early Access versions of each of the episodes are still very much complete, and we’re making sure they’re just as fun and informative as they always have been. We totally understand not everyone is in a position to support us financially, and we don’t want people to feel left out.
Plus, if the Extended Episode tier ever does take your fancy, every extended episode we’ve ever put out will still be there waiting for you when the time is right.
What’s next?
We’ve got the next few episodes of Firearms Expert Reacts planned out, and they’re set to be absolute smashers. Plus, we’re hoping to be able to confirm our very first outside guest on Respec, our weekly companion podcast, who will be joining us to talk about that week’s game from the perspective of…well…the guy who makes it. What will he have to say about Jonathan’s feedback?
You’ll have to listen to find out - Respec is available to all Patrons on the Early Access tier and above.
Outside of the world of firearms, we’ve also been working on another special video that will launch first right here on Patreon, which leads me nicely onto…
What else have we been doing?
Last weekend was an exciting one, as we all met up to film some things at The 15th-Century Armoured Fighter 2025 event in Sudborough, which included some fascinating details about historical martial arts techniques and also a bunch of people smashing wooden sticks over each other while wearing armour. It really did have something for everyone.
We also got to meet someone we hope is going to be EXP’s next expert, which was very exciting - please enjoy their introductory video below.

In all seriousness though, we did meet up with an expert at the weekend (a proper human one with two arms and legs and much nicer breath), and we’re hoping to work with them very soon. We’ll share more on that when we can, but I think it’s safe to say that if you’re a fan of a certain historical game that was released recently, you’re going to be happy.
Production Meeting
Finally, on Monday 17th of March at 17:00GMT/12:00ET/09:00PT, we will be hosting our first Production Meeting stream.
For anyone in our Extended Episode or VIP tiers, this is an exclusive livestream, hosted on YouTube where the EXP team will spend some time talking through our plans for the next month or so of content, and field suggestions from our Patrons on what games and entertainment they think we should be covering.
And, finally, if you can’t make it, then don’t worry as we’ll make the whole Production Meeting available on YouTube as a VOD to the Extended Episode and VIP tiers after it’s finished and forever more.

Sweet! I’m still also hoping for a react to guns of Call of duty World at war, still a great ww2 set game with interesting facts and details they added into the game. I also thought of an interesting choice for a movie guns react. The guns in the resident evil apocalypse. As some good action in it including with guns and interesting to hear Jonathan’s thoughts on seeing the golden desert eagles in the movie as well as the when he hears about how the Tyrant’s minigun was custom made as opposed to an actual minigun attached to the costume.
