EXP Update - March 10th, 2025

It’s Chris here, with an update on what we’ve been up to at EXP Towers. Here’s what you might have missed from our first month (it’s already been a month!), what we’ve been up to lately and what you can look forward to next month. Plus, read on for some insight into the identity of our new expert!
A big, big thank you
It feels like we can never say this enough, but thank you to each and every one of you for signing up to the Patreon and being part of the journey with us. We literally couldn’t do this without you all, and hopefully the content you’ve seen so far has repaid the faith you’ve shown in us.
This picture was taken just before the launch of the first public episode, where we met up to watch the YouTube premiere in-person together.
We’re particularly proud of the Extended Episodes, and so pleased at how they’ve been received - longer, more detailed episodes are something we’ve wanted to do for ages, and hopefully they’re striking the right balance between informative and entertaining - even when they’re over an hour long as in the cases of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 and Sniper Elite: Resistance.
Interesting choice of attire from Dave, I think.
We also hope you enjoyed the episode on the films of the Captain America franchise. Covering films and TV on EXP seemed like a no-brainer, and hopefully you feel, like us, that Jonathan’s analysis works just as well for the silver screen.
Finally, we’re really happy with the response to Respec, and love hearing from you all. If there’s ever anything you want to ask us, or just something you think we should be talking about, reach out on the Respec podcast discord channel, and we’ll make sure we talk about it (when we’re not talking about sausages, French e-sport teams or whether Daniel Radcliffe is hairy enough to play Wolverine, of course).

What’s next?
We’ve got the next few episodes of Firearms Expert Reacts planned out, and they’re set to be absolute smashers. Plus, we’re hoping to be able to confirm our very first outside guest on Respec, who will be joining us to talk about that week’s game from the perspective of…well…the guy who makes it. What will he have to say about Jonathan’s feedback? You’ll have to listen to find out.
Outside of the world of firearms, we’ve also been working on another special video that will launch first right here on Patreon, which leads me nicely onto…
What else have we been doing?
Last weekend was an exciting one, as we all met up to film some things at The 15th-Century Armoured Fighter 2025 event in Sudborough, which included some fascinating details about historical martial arts techniques, and also a bunch of people smashing wooden sticks over each other while wearing armour. It really did have something for everyone.
We also got to meet someone we hope is going to be EXP’s next expert, which was very exciting - please enjoy their introductory video below

In all seriousness though, we did meet up with an expert at the weekend (a proper human one with two arms and legs and much nicer breath), and we’re hoping to work with them very soon. We’ll share more on that when we can, but I think it’s safe to say that if you’re a fan of a certain historical game that was released recently, you’re going to be happy.

Production Meeting coming soon...
Finally, on Monday 17th of March at 18:00CET/17:00GMT/13:00ET/10:00PT, we will be hosting our first Production Meeting stream.
For anyone in the Extended Episode or VIP tiers, this is an exclusive livestream, hosted on YouTube where the EXP team will spend some time talking through our plans for the next month or so of content, and field suggestions from you on what games and entertainment you think we should be covering.
So - please let us know if you have any questions, or anything you’d like to hear about in the Production Meeting. Leave a comment under this post and we’ll talk about it!
We’ll share details on how to watch along closer to the time, so keep your eyes peeled. How quickly will this descend into us watching movie clips and memes, and chatting absolute nonsense? There’s only one way to find out.

I've already mentioned this to Dave on discord but I've always wanted to see Jonathan react to Squad 44 especially now that the pacific update is out

One interesting topic I'd like to see in the Production Meeting would be Community Made Weapon Episodes or if there'd be room for a joke Episode like:" EXP Team reacts to Patron's Weapons" In any case I can't wait for to see that happening
