If you wanna try out lucha I think Lucha Underground might be a better place to start. There's a bunch of guys you'd already be aware of, but it's a lot more familiar to what you're used to than jumping straight into hard lucha. You could also check out MJF vs Mistico from CMLL from their recent anniversary show. It's still full Lucha but your familiarity with MJF will make it a little more digestible than this match. Another way to go is to check out PuroLucha, promotions like Michinoku Pro or Dragon Gate from Japan, which have clear lucha inspirations but I think the contrast/barrier to entry wont be as stark. If you're interested i can suggest a bunch of stuff from Lucha Underground, MPro, and DragonGate.
