Out of all people reacting to Dear John, I knew YOU would pick up all the production references and digs at John Mayer fsfsfsf

The Maine covered Cruel Summer (from Lover) and it’s great. also, I think these songs would have been produced way more punk pop if it had been up to Taylor back then and I wish she had leaned into it harder on TV

Mine, Back to December and Haunted are my favorites off of this album. Haunted is number 1 for me, that alt-rock Evanescence feel is probably why I love it more than the other songs!

SN consistently lands in the top 3-4 of her albums for me - it’s such a true classic

Just started a deep dive into Mayday Parade thanks to this reaction!

Long LIVE is the album closer. The other two are bonus tracks.

A lesson in Romantics by mayday parade is one of my favorite albums.

from one chronic future planner to another i totally understand what you mean. we feel our desires so deeply that even a song like never grow up makes you emotional just thinking of how you WILL feel. never let go of that trait, ive learned to love it about myself!
Alexa Prosolowski
Never grow up doesn’t have as many stream because most of us cry when we hear it… and u personally don’t love to do that all the time
KyraB
Your thoughts are not invalid because it is Taylor’s version as they generally try to make the re-records as similar to the original as possible.

ugh i LOVE mayday parade and i never made those connections! i always get giddy when u mention them ESPECIALLY in a taylor related video

I don’t know if you know this. But you were so right about her trying to prove herself on this album. This is a self written album. A choice she made cause people didn’t believe she can actually hold her own in a writing session after how great and successful fearless was. And fun fact, innocent is about kanye west after that vmas incident, and that cool background vocal you mentioned on the bridge, was used again on look what you made me do, another song about kanye. After all that time, he never changed. So so cool. Just listen to both back to back in your spare time 😄

Never Grow Up, Long Live, Last Kiss, and Enchanted were the tracks I was most looking forward to on the re-released version. Long Live was on the setlist for the eras tour, but was taken off prior to the international leg if memory serves me correctly. Enchanted is now the only song part of the Speak Now section on the Eras tour and is also featured in the movie as well, so that's probably where you recognize it from! The standard edition of the album ended on Long Live. Ours and Superman were on the deluxe edition of the album. And of course, the re-released version has those Vault tracks, which are probably some of my favorite ones next to the 1989 ones 🤗

Long live was also on the eras tour 😂

Exciting !!!! Thank you

The original album ended on Long Live. The ones after that are bonus tracks that were part of a deluxe version.
