He doesn't have to work to be exceptional? Don't he train his skills 24/7 and started doing it since he was in the womb?

Joshua

Benefits of the powerful and if not this it would be honestly very generic for an MC to do it himself. An MC actually having powerful family and support is nice and he still works incredibly hard. He's obviously a one in realm genius and we've already seen that there is so much more out there and simple fact is MC will only have this support till the 5th tier. After that he's an equal and will need to do everything himself or build his own support

I had Reivyn's body, mind, and soul mapped out before I wrote the first chapter. The idea I have for him as a character is one of the pillars the entire rest of the story is built around. You say it's "an obvious retcon," and yet it's literally the exact opposite. When and where I put it in the story is the variable.

Anon

The bloodline thing is an obvious retcon. Which there are a lot of in this story.

Emanuel Bergman

Not a fan of the fact that Reivyn never had to work to unlock his bloodline, he already doesn't have to work to be exceptional. It really sours the character when he is handed everything on a silver plater.

Daniel Smith

So while im glad that you added the section on his bloodline, it still feels like an afterthought and doesnt really fit.

Kyfe

I will reveal it when the time comes :)

TheeGreenBean

Since he can still put xp into his bloodline, does that mean he still gets the extra stats every 100k xp?

Jeppe Fiig

glad you added that explanation of what happened to his bloodline limit, was confused the first time i read it. but also thats one powerful bloodline if he can keep getting more stats out of it

PrimordialJay

The changes were good in my opinion!

Jim Hall

Appreciated

Viria

Thanks !

Kyfe

Thanks. I meant to do that, lol. Fixed.

Obran

You should probably fix the “Boos room” in the first paragraph and change it to Boss Room if you are willy nilly changing stuff. Also thanks. I was really confused by the stat points and bloodline section.

Kyfe

I added about 400 words to describe the situation with unlocking the Bloodline, added a short description in the previous chapter about Reivyn noticing the issue with the Abyss Mana, and altered the initial conversation in this chapter to reflect that change.

Freedcats

Holy moly! Look at those attributes! So activating his bloodline had no immediate effect? Nothing?

Kyfe

He unlocked the Skill because he succeeded, and he's done it a few times already. It accumulated at this point to finally unlock it.

Trasen56

Man, I really like how straight forward Reivyn was here, thanks to his backing he's not afraid of revealing most of his knowledge which let's us avoid the trope of a misunderstanding allowing him to foster a relationship and instead they clear up the misunderstanding. Really big fan of characters that hash out stuff like that.

William Johnson

Called it! Also, trusting your level one detect lies skill against a prince who has presumably been training his social skills from birth seems questionable.

Saerthas

Yea I have the same issue With the bloodline and a Sense lies skill could make the story annoying to writte

Arkeus

Yeah, this was just 'oh he didn't lie', not 'gale of truth and lies'

Robert Apgar

Had to be before, he was talking about his parents giving him enough drugs/cultivation pills/natural treasures to fill it up. It does suck that not only was the bloodline turned into an afterthought it also wasn't his efforts that filled up that crazy exp bar we all wondered about early on in the story. Wealth and connections crushed the efforts I was expecting, he is really living that Young Master life style.

Jackson Ragland

Chapter feels rough, completely pushing the bloodline completion to the background when it was a major plot point, especially when it basically doubled his stats feels bad. Also doesn't really make sense to get sense truth/lies when you wrote it as an honest conversation.

Viria

We definitely need a section on the completion of his bloodline (instead of just a summary). We were all looking forwards to that event, and the way it was handled felt like a letdown to me. What did he gained from filling all the exp (I can't believe there were no reward from maxing it up) ? And does he gain anything from investing exp into the new/upgraded bloodline? (i.e. does he still gain stats every X thousand exp ?) Also, did it happen before or after the trip to the third floor ?
