Contemplated the way she manipulated him. The way she worked from a spot two or more places ahead of him. The way, with no effort, she’d turned the tables on his stakeout and humiliated him. Her humiliation came with the steady, unbothered ease of a practiced craftsman. He had caught her in something, but she’d snipped the red cable while the clock to his detonation counted down. Snip. Problem solved.
But what problem would there be if she discovered him outside Hyun’s building? Why would her natural inclination go to humiliation? Humiliation was control. A terrible idea revealed itself. He burped, grumbled, then sighed, set the can back in the cup holder, wriggling it into place. He licked his lower lip, eyes glued to the pale light in the windows of Hyun’s building’s top floor. The anxious ball of greasy worry still slithered in his stomach. A heavy dread weighed on his shoulders. Something big was happening, and he knew he couldn’t see it. Knew it was right in front of him, but his eyes were tuned only to one specific wavelength.
But he knew what he could do.
It was stupid and self-destructive, but it was action. Inaction had corralled him into his current state. Action might put him clear.
He hefted his phone and teased himself with every excuse in the world not to do this. When the objections waned, he rubbed the heel of one hand into an eye and grumbled again.
Then, with sudden but fleeting nerve, he tapped the contact on his phone and then sent them a message.
Josh: Where are you right now?
He set his phone down and waited. Devlin answered less than a minute later.

Once again we see a Josh who wants to fail. “I’m with Kimmy” here’s an easy question, “Really? where?” Does Devlin even know Hyun’s name or that she exists? So I’m interested to see where that conversation goes. Though a guy who would wear Kimmy’s undies to get humiliated by Devlin is clearly just fishing for more pain. We are finally starting to get more insight into each of their psyches.

I think it's ultimately going to drive poor Josh to suicide at this point! He has no one to rely on compared to KTs other cuckolded male characters ! (LOL) I think the next chapters are crucial to where this story goes when it hits the final book! But Kimmy's Achilles heel is her pregnancy (Has to be Devlin's) which will help the walls come tumbling down!

And we still have Kimmy to reveal she's pregnant to Josh (LOL) How the hell is she going to spin that one? This chapter tells me he is sick of her bullshit and mindgames so if she tries to do it again. Who knows! (LOL) Also turning to Devlin is weird. Wouldn't it be great if Devlin (Hes the one in control of their relationship he told Kimmy) helped expose Kimmy further for Josh. But Devlin cant be trusted and already revealed to Kimmy he wants Josh to be in a voyeur relationship while Devlin fucks Kimmy! So the next couple chapters are going to be crucial to where the story is going. Cant wait!

For a second there, I was happy with Josh, seeming to really understand what’s going on, and why he wasn’t the guilty one. But, then what does he do? What does he think he’s going to get from Devlin, the man that made him wear his wife’s panties to his condo? And why if Devlin is supposedly busy with Kimmy, would he text him right back? Josh is his own worst enemy. He’s the only one who’s going to be able to get himself out of this. He can’t trust anyone anymore, even innocent Hyun, his niece’s mom has also been corrupted by Kimmy. Meyer also doesn’t believe him that Kimmy cheated. I don’t think he has the strength to make it out, and I fear for what’s to come. For Hyun, too. Kimmy is going to destroy them both.

Wait, what happened! Did Devlin have Kimmys phone? I must have skipped where he got a hold of it. It sounds like Josh is slowly getting sick of Kimmy's mind games and realizes she's the guilty hoe bag she is. I hope he has a good plan at getting Kimmy but Devlin seems to be one step ahead of him. Maybe Devlin is going to show more incriminating evidence against Kimmy to Josh. But Devlins game plan was always for Josh to be a subservient voyeur watching him fuck Kimmy. So the next chapters are going to be revealing! Also whats going on with the unborn baby? Theres no way it's magically Josh's right! Or else Kimmy would have told him by now. It's maybe the ultimate lie of Kimmys pretending it's Josh's! And it's the one thing that would put the ultimate nail in the coffin of their marriage!

This is why Kimmy says you're your own worst enemy, Josh. Because you're asking for the truth from a man you know to be a bully and a liar. You're planning an action based on a source you know to be corrupt and bad, who only wishes you ill will. You should know better than this. Yet, this is what Kimmy's actions have driven him to. He can't trust her, he can't trust anybody. He can't even trust himself. He has to find someway out of this disaster that lets him prove Kimmy still loves him, that it's not just empty words, but Kimmy's own actions have made that impossible. It's almost comical how Josh can be so astute as to realize that Kimmy acted the way she did because she's hiding something, and yet be so blinded by his anger and hurt at her actions that he turns to Devlin as a trusted source. All while Kimmy is enjoying some amazing corruption sex that she doesn't even begin to deserve and setting up the downfall of someone innocent and special who's sole error is falling in love with a woman who doesn't deserve it. This mess is going to go nuclear, and everyone in the blast radius is going to have a slow, agonizing emotional collapse.
