You're right, that is post-nut clarity. And while it's realistic, him withdrawing his love and punishing her isn't OK. He's asked for this many times. Him punishing her for giving him what he's explicitly asked for is far, far beyond wrong. It's abusive. I'd like to see Kimmy start to recognize this, stop tolerating it, and even start punishing him for doing it, and for having done it in the past. The risk vs reward strategy for Kimmy from here on out is kind of crazy. She clearly exerted a level of dominance over Devlin we've not seen before, but i think she mostly did it to see how serious he was and how far she could push him. She wants him bad, but i feel like she's prioritizing fixing things with Josh over that. Confident Kimmy clearly has a better chance of keeping his love while securing permission to openly play with Devlin than passive, distraught Kimmy. She doesn't really deserve it (and she knows it), but Confident Kimmy is arrogant enough not to care, she'll simply twist the situation to gain any advantage she can in shaping her future. It will be quite the trick to get what she wants (Devlin sex and Josh's love) while also giving Josh what he wants while keeping him happy. That last part being the real trick. Because what he wants and his happiness, at this moment, are diametrically opposed. And i don't think Kimmy is going to be able to retain Josh's love if she can't figure out that conundrum. That's not to say she can't keep her marriage intact by completely dominating Josh, i think she probably could, but i don't think that would make Josh happy in the long run. He'd end up being an empty shell, which i don't think is what Kimmy wants. She wants the impossible, or at least the improbable.
