I feel the same, but as KT pointed out, she has her own darkness, and we've seen hints of it in the first two books. While i would hate it for Max, i could see Keely, in a moment of weakness, anger or capriciousness (love that word from you, KT, suits Keely well) would make a decision that she would then want to have a back, but can't take back, with Max being the "beneficiary".

I can't as well. Keely 1 & 2 are easily my two favorite books from you. Mostly because i'm a sap and i love a good romance, especially if it has a bit of intrigue with heartache and redemption/reconnection. Also, on a purely selfish note, hoping that it clears some of my confusion/issues with the dichotomy of how Max is portrayed in Keely vs. the epilogues in Maggie. In the Keely series, he's mostly independent, much more mature, and by Keely 2, well focused on Keely, yet the Maggie epilogues seem to show a complete regression of that. At the time of reading it, i felt (and still kind of do) like it was a mistake. I'm thinking the next Keely books will help clear that up.

I hope so... I couldn't stand it if she put Max though the same BS Maggie and Cole has done!

Keely 3 has been a long time coming, but I can't wait. She's become one of my favorite characters; a figure of redemption.

Yeah, I noticed Keely has some interesting things she's hiding that sorta peek out, like how quickly she dumped the two guys she was seeing to spend time with Max, or how interested, and turned on she was, watching Cole and Maggie, with some emphasis placed on Cole. I don't think she wants to hurt Max, but as she learns his kinks and gets comfortable, I could see where she might think about, and then do some things, that will cause problems.

This is very true. But the thing with Keely is a little more complicated. She can be capricious: one minute emotionally attached, the next unattached. Keely has some hidden darkness and we get into it in the third Keely book which is scheduled for summer '23. She and Cole do have noticeable similarities—and they are still somewhat outsiders to Max and Maggie's diminished relationship, even when they have Max and Maggie's love for themselves.

That scene with the Keely pics always makes me laugh. Highlights just how much of a slut Cole is. Which is funny because all it took was Maggie to change that. At Max's emotional expense, but goes to show how right they are together. Also shows Keely's own issues, and rather slutty behavior. Funny how they, Cole and Keely, both have an issue with emotional attachment to their conquests, and it takes Maggie and Max to change that.
