Devil In The Waters, Book 6, Chapter 6 (part 2)

The hot Caribbean sun tightened the naked skin of her back; electric static floated up the hairs on the nape of her neck. Hair tied up, exposing her long neck, she showed off what she worked hard for. All bare skin for Josh and Devlin to see. Then she was turning, big nonchalant smile on her face, holding up the rum and coke Josh had made for her while she slid closed the villa’s back door. She held a folded up towel under one arm, but everything else was on display and she watched both the men’s faces now. Her nipples rolled against the stretchy fabric of her small bikini top. The looks on their faces.
“Thanks for the drink, Josh,” she said, pushing her feet bare feet into the pool slides she left on the patio. Right now, Josh’s face was stone. Immobile. His eyes hollow, his mouth drawn. She could see his Adam’s apple move. Right now, every dark sexual fear her husband’d ever hosted came fluttering up from the forest floor like a kaleidoscope of butterflies. Devlin was wary. In on the game, but still unsure of what she might do . . .
She stepped nearer to them now, saying, “You guys are still dressed. I thought we were going swimming. I’m the only one—”
Devlin said, “I’ll put on my trunks,” his eyes having no problem at all exploring her naked flesh. She hoped Josh could see Devlin do it. Hoped it would drive him wild. Devlin had already seen every bit of her naked body, put his hands on it, put his big dick inside her . . . But as far as her sweet husband knew, this was the first time his high school bully was exposed to his star lawyer’s almost naked body. This close to Josh now, she could feel his tension. He was practically vibrating.
She toyed with Devlin, saying playfully now, “Hurry up and change, we don’t have all day,” taking the towel out from under her arm and batting it against Devlin’s hip as he walked past. Over her shoulder, she saw Devlin eyeing her naked backside unabashedly. She turned back to Josh, watched his carved features, saw his pupils tracking Devlin. The sliding glass door opened and closed again behind her.
As if nothing strange was happening, she said to Josh, “I thought we were going swimming. We were supposed to make this quick.”
Josh’s chin turned slightly to the left then downward and his eyes fell on her in an agonal gaze.
She did her best to stop a smile, then let Josh watch the smile slowly unfold. She said, “What are you thinking?”
“I don’t know,” he said.
“Don’t you want him out of here?”
Now his eyes went over her, and he folded his arms protectively as if he was hurting. Not the response she wanted, so she put a hand on his shoulder and squeezed his upper arm. “Go get your trunks on, Josh.” She waited a beat, then: “I’m doing this for you.”
His Adam’s apple went up and down again. “Doing what?”
“I bought this swimsuit for you. For your eyes only. Went out and bought it on Friday”—she tugged at the teeny shoulder strap of the top—“now I’m using it for you in a whole different way I never anticipated.”
“What do you mean?” he said, his voice thin and croaky.
“You and me together, remember?”
“Yeah,” he said.
“Do you get me?”
He was still dumbstruck, eyes flicking to the back door then back to her. She put her hands on his chest. “Enjoy it, Josh. I’m doing it for you.”
“Doing what?” he said again in that thin froggy sound.
“Come on, we can do this.”
“You invited him here for . . . for this?”
“No,” she said, “but now that he’s here . . .”
Slowly the cloudiness parted from his vision and an almost hopeful look passed his face. His eyes went down her body, seeing how she was revealed. “You put . . . this on for me?”
“Tell me to change and I will.”
Now that his system was rebooting, his mainframe was coming alive again. The slightest tug of a smile showed at the corner of his lips. “You’re toying with me,” he said—not a question but a statement.
“I would do anything, Josh. Anything to turn you on. I mean it.” She went on her toes, kissed the edge of his jaw, ran a hand over his chest and down to his stomach. “Get your trunks on. We’re going to go for a swim.”
He put his hand over hers saying, “I can’t. I don’t want to, I don’t want to put on swim trunks.”
“Why not?”
“Devlin’s going to . . .”
“He’s going to put on swim trunks. I’m in my swimsuit. You can put on your swim trunks, Josh. Hey . . .” She cupped his cheeks with her palms, made him look at her. “You’re my husband. We’re going to go swimming.”
“But he’s . . .”
“Say it.”
“He’s looking at you.”
“But I belong to you,” she said, up on her toes again, kissing his mouth this time.
He was stiff at first, but slowly softened. She melted against him, ran her palms in circles over the points of his shoulders, broke the kiss. “Let’s play.”
“Play?”
“Josh, everything you want is right here in front of you. Take it for once. Take it. I’m offering to—”
“Play.”
“Play,” she whispered.
“What are you going to do?”
“Nothing. Nothing at all. But he’s gonna look at me, and you’re going to go wild, aren’t you?”
Her hand drifted lower, slipped her hand underneath his T-shirt from Hell, slipped two fingers into the waistband of his pants and tugged them outward, making it clear what she meant.
Slowly, Josh transformed again. Now she was his. She could see his brimming excitement, and knew she held the leash on it. She switched the rum and coke to her left hand and she grabbed one of his butt cheeks and squeezed. “Get inside and get your swim trunks on . . .”

It was a drunken stumble back into the cool of the villa’s interior. He closed the sliding glass door behind him, watching out at his unbelievably beautiful wife standing practically in her underwear on the villa deck. What a gift. What a gift she was to him. And what a gift she was offering. His heart flooded with strange bursting love for her. That she would do this for him . . .
That cold adversarial strangeness he’d encountered with Devlin was quelled for the moment. That knot of dread in the pit of his stomach dissembling, the fear and worry pushed behind him.
A new drive got him pivoting, walking quickly through the main room and into the master suite before he could encounter Devlin. He wouldn't know what to say right now. Didn't want anything but what Kimmy was offering. Devlin's eyes on her. She'd stripped almost bare in front of her boss to tease her husband.
“Oh my God,” he whispered, as he slipped into the bedroom and closed the door behind him.
He balled a fist over his heart, disbelieving this sudden unsuspecting treat. When she'd come out onto the back deck, it was like he’d been slapped in the face. Dumbstruck, for sure. His wife showing everything she had to the worst man in the world to whom she could show it. And Devlin standing there, not looking away. Looking at her. Seeing the way that bikini bottom hugged the roundness of her rump, that roundness seeming so strange on such a long and lean Taiwanese woman. God, how beautiful she was, the way she looked in that sunlight. That spike of jealous anger, fear, and lust punching through his chest when she stepped out into the sun wearing almost nothing.
Now he was stripping off his shirt, pushing down his pants. A full-blooded rock hard erection slapped up against his belly then wagged. Shit. How was he going to wear swim trunks now?
Could he jerk off real quick?
No, that would ruin it. Were the trunks baggy enough?
Now he was quick stepping to his suitcase, pulling out the trunks, slipping his legs through them. The bulge of his erection showed.
He trotted to the master suite bathroom, still humid from Kimmy’s shower. Her clothing lay folded on the counter. He snatched off the biggest looking towel folded in the rack, held it outward. It was big enough.
He cowled it around his shoulders and it fell to the tops of his thighs. If he shifted the angle of the towel, he could cover his erection. Once he was in the pool, he'd be fine.
Back in the family room now, he could see through the glass door. Kimmy still stood with her rum and Coke. Only now, Devlin was with her. No more in his shorts and tight-fitting black polo, the guy wore swim trunks and nothing else. Tanned. Tall. And muscular.
He’d anticipated it, but it hit him way harder than he thought. Just like three minutes ago when Devlin got his first look at Kimmy’s almost naked body, now Kimmy was seeing Devlin's.
Devlin stood a head taller than her. His shoulders were broad. Veins coursed his biceps in thick cables then branched in to a webwork across his muscular forearms. He had abs. Hair on his chest and stomach. Muscular legs. Kimmy was seeing it all. Kimmy was taking it in. Standing next to Devlin looking so small and lean and feminine and powerful . . .
Shit, he was being toyed with. Kimmy was toying with him right now . . .

Gotta agree with Chinookfan72 here. If KT is tired of the story and just wants to close it then maybe. I get the sense she kind of is (tired of it I mean). It would be a whole lotta workin up to nothin if that happened though. All the hinted at plot lines and build up would have been wasted. I agree Kimmy is getting Josh used to seeing her with Devlin so she can really throw it in his face while telling herself he’s getting off on it. Which, let’s face it, he is. The real payoff needs some build up though and this is the first time he’s seen them together. The whole way of doing this gives it a different tone than most in this genre. I really like her line of “ I’m doing this for you , Josh.” That can be the opening to a whole series of escalating encounters. The challenge is making it realistic and sexy while not making Josh look like a moron. Kimmy can really only be an admirable evil queen if her victim is worthwhile and we may debate whether someone is too innocent or simply foolishly trusting but stupid is just stupid.

The only way this is the end of the series is if KT is tired of writing about Kimmy, Josh and Devlin. There are too many avenues available for the story to end here. It would also be a big wind up with little delivery for this to be the end. We are only 2 weeks into her working for Devlin. I don’t see Kimmy exposing the relationship now, but rather her just getting Josh more comfortable so she can continue to cheat and then rub his nose in it ( at the same time reducing her guilt because Josh is getting something out of it too).

If, big if, if this is the last installment of this series, Kimmy is going to do it in front of Josh and we'll have the rest of the book to see the aftermath. Something tells me this isn't it. KT is a master of misdirection and setting things up as they are could just be tease for Josh. Dunno. As a side note, this is hot as hell. Considering that we really don't like the three main characters at all, it's really a testament to KT's erotic storytelling.

It's a personal favorite dilemma that KT loves deploying, the duplicitous rationale behind our leading lady's actions. "I'm doing this to turn on my husband" versus "I'm doing this to turn on this new man in my life" versus "I'm doing this because it turns me on." And that last line 'Kimmy was toying with him right now ... ' I took that to mean Josh in that moment, but I think it is Devlin too. I love where this is going so, so much

Very much enjoying this book, so far it’s my favorite of the Kimmy series. Really hoping Josh gets deep in the cups to try and deal with Kimmy flirting with Devlin and then Devlin fucking her with Josh passed out.

I don’t think he is in on the specifics of her plan. But he is in on the overall theme of Kimmy’s enjoyment of rubbing Josh’s nose in it.
