Progress Update - Shadow Island R12

We have been working without interruption on R12 this month, and it's already the end of the summer, times flies!
The work was split between the rework of the intro and the new exploration segment.
The new intro has now some new illustrations and the flow was reworked, I think it's much better than before and hopefully should increase player retention as they start the game. We got some eye candies in the form of a no cloth illustration of Lily which also fixes some discrepancies in the plot we had to fix, so I think that's a win-win situation. You can see some of those in the image preview if you are not afraid of spoiler.
For the new exploration, it's ongoing and not done yet, we are slowly building the new area bit by bit, this part takes a significant amount of time, there is quite a lot of new backgrounds coming all at once but we have done about the 2/3 of it by now.
An idea that came to life while we were working with R12 was to meet someone lost on the island, someone that has been living out there for a while. In that case he turned mad by being exposed to some of the corruption on the island, and we had lot of fun imagining a situation where you would meet him but that would also serve the progression. I hope you find this scene interesting when you run into him.
On the other hand, we have also took some advance in the script and written parts that should have been technically for R13. The night part when you return from the expedition. In those late segments a new H-Scene with Charlotte is part of the package, and many small interactions with people in town.
I'm not sure at the moment, but there is a world where we could see to include it in R12 if possible, it depends on how the progress goes on the exploration segment. I'll keep you informed on that, if we see that we can include it and that it only pushes the release a tiny bit farther, I think that could be worth it but I can't be sure at the moment.
