Hello, Linux desktop user here. No - Seriously... Firefox on Linux has been my primary desktop - And very near exclusively where I watch YouTube - For more years than HUB has been around. I also pay for YouTube Premium. The algorithms are definitely broken. No matter how many times I downvote and click "do not recommend channel" on AI slop, I still keep getting fed an endless amount of that BS. GenAI is a pox on humanity that needs to die. Meanwhile channels I might actually want to watch are much less often suggested. My "subscriptions" page? While it is filled with channels I subscribe to... Its also missing an awful lot of channels I legit want to watch, do ACTUALLY watch often, to the point I have to start remembering which channels I haven't seen in awhile to go manually check in on what they're doing. No, unsubscribe/subscribe, "ring the bell", that nonsense... Doesn't solve the issues. Suffice to say YouTube has become a mess as a Linux desktop viewer. I can't speak to Windows/macOS/mobile as - Though I do use various other platforms - I use them so infrequently on YouTube as to have no clue if anything's changed.

It's definitely an issue because simply it's preventing people who are logged in from seeing videos they are subscribed to. I always use the Subs page and/or Patreon to watch the latest stuff and it's not that hard. But apparently according to the RLM video on the matter, even if logged in and on the Subs feed if in Restricted mode, certain videos will not appear. So it's a multiple angle of poo. One is the AI induced age restriction of videos, and then theres the AI powered auto activation on random profiles of Restricted Mode if it thinks you're a child. As always it's just a clusterF*$# and Youtube are terrible at communicating.
