I didn't mention all the time, effort, sweat, tears, and blood that was shed in the decade, as I know that is a very sensitive topic... In that sense I am truly sorry for your loss... Nature is a fickle mistress and she is very high maintenance, but no one is saying you have to go it alone. I wish you and yours the best and I look forward to more Gardening Unboxed as you dream about your new wilderness. :)

It's really not about money at all, the value in $$$ is very low. The value is in the 10 years it took to grow many of these trees, I can't buy that time back. Never mind we will replant.
In a case like this will home owners insurance be able to help recoup some of the money loss and help you replace some of the forest that was lost?
