Rhino Grab Initial
This one wasn't much trouble to animate, but was a pain to code, given how wide the sprite is. The size often meant that Texas would get thrown off-screen.
Bear Grab Rhino End
Sorry for the delay in posting, Patreon was down for maintenance.
Bear Grab Rhino Mid
If I redid this today, I would change so much. Movement for the rhino, a more abrupt shove in, an actual expression for Texas...I REALLY dislike this animation.
Progress Update 05/06/19
Hey everyone,I've been really lax with updates so far, and that reflects poorly if I'm unable to give people an accurate idea of the progress of the game, so I'll be pushing myself much harder to get these out at least every month.Currently, I am working on the basic animations for the third level enemies, and am about 2/3rd done with that, having completed all the base animations for the small rabbit and the pig, and I will be starting to work on the large rabbit's animations today. I predict those will take me two streams to c...
Bear Grab Rhino Initial
This grab is my personal least favourite grab in the game. It's just very poorly thought out and animated, and I'm really disappointed in how it turned out.
Double Bear Grab End
Flats and feets.
Double Bear Grab Mid
It's gotta be hard to breathe in there.
Double Bear Grab
More hugs for Texas
Big Bun
BBW bunny edged the competition out in the polls, but that's what I was leaning towards anyway. This way I can reserve some of my cow ideas for the boss, while having the cows I've already drawn serve as an environmental hazard, so they will still get some squashing attacks in.In any case, here's the actual third enemy for level 3, a much bigger rabbit! Still not 100% on the shirt or hair colour, but those are easily changeable.I hope you like her!
Cow vs Bunny?
This post will contain spoilers for level 3, as it is partially discussing my ideas for the boss fight. If you would prefer for that to be a surprise, please do not read further.Hey everyone,I've reached a bit of a dilemma which I would like to hear your opinions on. Currently, my plan is to have the cow-riding bunny be the third enemy for level 3, along with the normal bunnies and the pigs. However, the boss of the level will also be a cow (a much, much larger one), and it feels a bit redundant to have two cow enemies in the same level. Wh...
Bear Grab End
More like a bear-lyflop, amiright?
Bear Grab Mid
That's one tight hug.
Bear Grab Initial
Tex needs a hug now and again.
Cow
And here's our third enemy for level 3! Cows so big the rabbits use them like horses.
Pig
The second enemy for level 3. Been a while since I've had to draw feral animals, so this one was a bit annoying, but I'm happy enough with it in the end, and it's nice to do something different occasionally.
Rat Grab Rhino End
Man, I remember the good old days where end sprites were only about 15 frames long...
Rabbit
The first enemy of level three. Her design's a little plain, but over-complicated designs can be hard to animate. And I'm gonna be animating a lot of these girls...Also, for those up on their Gold Springs 'lore', the leader of this bunny-based gang is an established villain of Tex's, who will be featuring prominently in level 3.
Rat Grab Rhino Mid
Back before butt physics had been invented in Gold Springs.
Rat Grab Rhino Initial
Was never happy about the rhinos in the first level. Just don't really like anything about them. I'm much happier with the elephants in level 2.Also, I am back from my week long break now, so I'll be posting animations as normal (until I run out), and streaming as normal. I'm hoping to have an updated version of the game done by this Friday, fixing the bugs that I can and hopefully adding some I-frames to Texas.
Short Break (3/05/2019)
Right, now that the game's released I'm going to take a short break, so there will be no streaming or animations being uploaded next week. After that we'll be back to normal though. Don't want to leave you all hanging for too long! Thanks,SF
Rat Grab Bear End
Just because I posted the game doesn't mean I won't post the end of this set.
Level 2 (Updated)
Well, I've fixed the bugs that I could replicate from people's reports, and I've also added some I-Frames to the game, which should hopefully help a little with the difficulty. But now I need to move on to level 3.Also, it's come to my attention that Game Maker has some issues with Intel integrated graphics cards, particularly on older laptops, which causes freezing and crashing. Unfortunately this isn't an issue I'm able to fix on my end, and none of the options I've explored to resolve this issue have borne fruit. ...
Rat Grab Bear Mid
Rub rub rub.Ignore the stray pixel hanging above the rat's head. It's probably just a curious fly or something.
Rat Grab Bear Initial
Alllmost forgot to upload today, but here it is! One of the rare foot-based animations in the game.
Double Rat Grab End
Definitely a little rough around the edges...
Double Rat Grab Mid
I've come a long way since animating this, but I'm still using the same gas sprites.
Update 22/04/2019
Hey everyone!Good news! As of today the last of the coding is done! All that now stands between me and the release of level 2 is the bugtesting! Though given that currently the level 2 bossfight is a bug-ridden mess, that's still a little bit of a hurdle. Still, we're very close to completion now!I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone supporting me on Patreon! I never expected that this many people would be interested in what I had to offer, so I'm frankly blown away every day by the support from you all. It really, re...
Double Rat Grab
Well, having run out of new animations, it's onto the old ones for the time being. Starting with the very first of the grab animations in the game. Things have improved a lot since then (though not for Texas).
Elephant Grab End
9/10 of Gold Springs villains agree: Weasel fur feels best.
Roxxie Train Escape
Short cutscene from the game. Roxxie pulls the brake, Texas falls over, Roxxie uses Texas's spine as a trampoline.
