April 2024 Supporters
In my head I had asked for my last sketch prompt and roughly two weeks ago and after almost immediately doing the thumbnail sketch, was ready to finally get to work on it. In reality, that was a waylonger time. I'm really sorry for being behind on these sketches, I truly appreciate all of your support and you deserve all of the thanks I can give. I'm going to do my best to get back on track with these, especially since I have a new Patron to thank for May!Andrew P. asked to see one of my characters playing a sport - most of them are at ...
Lesser Than Three #202: Napkins
I just wanted one...
Pokemon Illustration Contest 2024
My entry for this year's Pokemon TCG Illustration contest! The theme for the contest was 'magical moments with Pokemon', and since Bidoof was everyone's resident HM user in Sinnoh I thought it would be fun for it to be able to experience the one HM it could never use - Fly! My entry didn't make it into the quarterfinalist round - even putting aside the quality of the piece I do think it was pretty risky putting so much emphasis on Staraptor - but I thought it would be a fun idea to draw so I wanted to try it. Judging for thi...
Commission - Xenowolf23
Commission of Fox Kitsunei from Fuzzy Things - You'll believe a fox can fly!
Commission - Altairey
Commission for Altairey of Flamedramon - The Fire of Courage! Quite coincidentally I got to work on this while watching the new 02 Blurays, haha.Flat color version is available in the attachments!
Lesser Than Three #201 - Part 2
"That...wasn't what I meant, but okay..."At least they're happy...?
Commission WIP - Xenowolf23
Some more Fuzzy Things fanart, this time with a hoverboard theme!
Commission WIP - Altairey
Flamedramon - The Fire of Courage!!
Lesser Than Three May Sketches
Surely oneof the Tanner sketches of all time!
Lesser Than Three #201 - Part 1
Wheeler's first outing in a good minute and he gets a two-parter! Drawing eight panels on one page was a terrible, terrible mistake that chewed through my comic backlog, but I thought this layout worked best for the overall mini-story I wanted to tell. Check back next week for part 2!
Commission - Xenowolf23
Ixiah Kitsunei - Back in action!!!
Commission WIP - Xenowolf23
Fox from Fuzzy Things living out his Super Sentai dreams!
Izzy & Tentomon
I drew a hand I was really happy with and then immediately covered it with an Agumon, so I'm making sure everyone sees it separately! It's getting exciting seeing this come together!
Lesser Than Three #200: I See Eternity
Bringing my A game for what apparently ended up as my 200th numbered strip, lol.
Commission - Altairey
Uh-oh - seems like the villain Phantom has gotten the upper hand on the hero Pace! Can our hero turn things around??The flat-color version is included in the attachments - the two versions are quite different!
Cat Family
Needed a few extras for a comic and it felt like it made the most sense to come up with completely new ones this time around so... cat family! I came up with them all rather quickly but I think I was able to make them a bit distinct - I'm hoping the 90's lookin' kid ends up fun to color, haha.
Joe & Gomamon
Next up is good ol' reliable Joe! I kept infusing him with way too much Shonen protag energy and had to dial it back so he didn't look quite so cool, haha.Who do you think will be next?
Lesser Than Three #199: The Learning Process
He's about to learn, alright...
Commission - Xenowolf23
Commission for Xenowolf23 of Sansenite's character, Streak! Perhaps he's joining Radiant in battle?
Digimon Adventure
Next up is a shot based off of the first Digimon Adventure short movie!Fun fact - I've been wanting to draw a Digimon collage like this for at least a decadeat this point. I still have the first brainstorming page I drew for it, and Tai and Kari's pose is redrawn from that page! There's a couple more poses I've brought back from that page, it'll be fun to completely modernize those too.Got the middle characters (more or less) done - just a million more to go!
Commission WIP - Xenowolf23
A gift commission from Xenowolf of the character Streak in action! Another superhero themed commission in this batch, funny enough!
Commission - Alejandro217
Finished commission for Alejandro217 - Fire Emblem's Alm is ready for battle! Also including the flats for this one! I'm not 100% sure how I want to post these going forward - I'm not sure if it's worth posting in the Taggerung tier posts, but at the very least I'll give the flats their own post for bigger pictures. Let me know if you have any thoughts!
Sketch - Kari & Gatomon
Trucking along with the group pic! It took me forever to draw Kari and then I drew Gatomon in all of five seconds.
Lesser Than Three #198: Science With Tanner
Today on the first and last installment of Science With Tanner-!
Commission WIP - Alejandro217
Commission for Alejandro217 of Fire Emblem's Alm!
Commission - Altairey
The hero Pace has had a rather unfortunate run-in with the villain, Phantom!
Our War Game
Remember when I convinced myself I could draw 19 characters in one picture in around one month? How young and naive I was back then...Could I make it in time for August 1? We'll see! Until then this part could be a decent picture in itself!
Lesser Than Three #197: On Your Toes
He'd never miss a chance to mess with Rory, even if he can't see it.
How am I drawing?
Hello, everyone! Every once in a while I want to reach out and see how you all are enjoying this Patreon - I'd love to find new ways to keep hings fresh and interesting around here. Is there anything you would like to see me try, or anything in particular you've been enjoying. Feel free to let me know either in the comments or through private message - I'm all ears! I've been thinking of ways to bring back the monthly polls for Taggerung patrons for a bit, and considering posting the flat-color stage of commissions/comic pages e...
Lesser Than Three April Sketches
You might notice there's a few less sketches this month - I've gotten back into the habit of going straight from the thumbnails to the final sketch/inks again! There are some poses where I end up doing a rough sketch and cleaning it up enough to be used as the final, but overall it's nice to be able to save a bit of time with these. Wish I could do the same for bigger pictures!
