(OLD VERSION) MPL - Ep 27 Sneak Preview
CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISKI'm in a mad rush to finish up this episode but here's a final sneak preview to keep you guys occupied while waiting for the episode to be out. There's a friend's wedding I need to attend today which will take up a good few hours, so the ep should be out end of Sunday, slightly after midnight (EST). There will be loads of dialogue this ep and it's gonna be fun ;DAnyway I'm not done colouring yet but this panel makes my heart flutter because there's another nice bit of symbolis...

(OLD VERSION) MPL - Ep 27 Sneak Peek
CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISK"Mary Jane" by Alanis Morissette is dedicated to ma baby girl Poppy.I've loved "Mary Jane" for the longest time - 2 decades now?? I feel like I wrote the character Poppy with the song constantly at the back of my mind. And I'm overjoyed that after so long, I've finally gotten a chance to share this character I've created with everybody else. It gets me very emotional every time I listen to it and think about Pops. Even though Tora's the star of the show (apparently ðŸ˜...

CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISKJust having a chat.I died when I was googling for anatomy references for squatting poses and came across the Slav squat which is a much cooler version of the Asian squat 😂So I don't know if anyone noticed, but there is this gradual transition that I'm creating. At the start Tora is always looking down at Poppy from a higher-up position. And it slowly transitions until finally, here in this shot, he's looking up at her from a lower position. This is my way of symbolising their relationship ...
(OLD VERSION) MPL - Ep 27 Sneak Preview + Season 1 Chat
CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISKWhen you've mastered the poker face, no one will ever suspect you've just got caught doing something you shouldn't have been doing. The previous episode was the climax that the romance scenes were building up to. This ep, all that heavy romance stuff will taper down as we move on to the rest of the plot. Also, just realised I've never drawn Tora's face in this angle before and it's HARD.The next two MPL eps will end Season 1 of MPL and will transition over to Season 2, just in time...
The Secret Garden #22 + #23 - "Sugar & Spice Maid Club (Ep 4)"
TIL how hard it is to choreograph a sex scene 😂So this is next Tuesday's post but I'm posting it now because I finished early (and at night for some so y'all won't have to scramble for the nearest washroom 😂).Special thanks to the beautiful and incredibly talented Miss Nani whom I commissioned to co-write the sex scene dialogue with me because I was writer's blocking like crazy. I think you're gonna love what we came up with 🥰🥰Hope you guys like this one!

The Secret Garden #21
I was trying to work on the next Sugar & Spice episode but like Tora, I have a lot on my mind right now (as y'all might know!) and I'm not really feeling it, so I'll post that one next week instead. For now enjoy this lewd action going on in Poppy's quaint little bedroom ;D
News
Update: Prefacing this with a reminder that everything is still in the discussion phase and nothing is concrete yet. But I like to be prepared for when things happen so I'm getting these plans ready just in case. After thinking things through, going through all the comments, the one thing that hit me the deepest and hardest is how beloved AB is with you guys, and how many of you (including everyone else from the Webtoon community) have been waiting patiently for the return of AB. And to take that away from you just...kills me inside. Especia...
(OLD VERSION) MPL - Ep 26
CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISKEDIT: I forgot to add in Tora's clan-symbol tattoo so here's the updated version. That tattoo isn't present in the first panel because it's a scene from way back when he was still climbing the ranks.EDIT: Sorry for the double post but I forgot to mention this really important tidbit! The tattoo designs I decided on are a koi and a peony that represent Yuwa and Ulaan!I think I can share this now - the great tattoo reveal! I spent 4 hours on this tattoo smh. Also I'm nervous about this e...

(OLD VERSION) MPL - Ep 26 Sneak Preview
CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISK*wipes tears off keyboard*I don't have that many sneak peeks for this ep because it's mostly talking, and everything else is a spoiler
(OLD VERSION) MPL - Ep 26 Sneak Preview
CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISKThe more time he spends with Poppy, the harder it is for Tora to keep his poker-faced mask on. Because the author has been listening to sappy kpop love songs ('Our Tears by Hyolyn') Btw guys, I have a lot of fun sketching out Tora's hair, but all that fun is usually ruined because the final coloured artwork of his hair is completely black. Still I'm happy that at least I get to share his hair art with you guys in its sketch stage 🥰
Delay
Update: I'll be able to make it for this episode after all, but it'll be a day later, so Sunday end of the day (EST). See you then!A notice on this coming episode. The past week or so has been pretty hectic - there was Chinese New Year which I celebrate, so we had to clean and organise the entire house, and there were traditional celebrations and family gatherings and whatnot. And I got a new computer because my old one was laggy as hell, and I had to transfer files, acquire new software and set everything up. The hubs got a new computer ...
Community Section
Just a quick one - if y'all don't already know, there's a community section on here (you can find it on the front page extreme right tab right next to posts) where some of the Patrons are sharing their amazing talents with us in the form of MPL/AB fanfic, fanart and hilarious memes. So check it out and show them some love and attention â¤ï¸â¤ï¸Just a quick note on MPL/AB fanfic - I'm unable to read them for copyright reasons but y'all are welcome to have a bit of fun with the characters =)
The Secret Garden #19 + #20 - "Sugar & Spice Maid Club (Ep 3)"
Warning: This story is purely AU and depicts characters in scenarios (ie. sex clubs, the Yakuza, etc.) that some might be uncomfortable with. It also contains sexual dialogue that might be triggering / offensive to some. Does not contain sexual violence or multiple partners. Please view at your own discretion. If Tora comes across meaner than usual, please forgive him (and me). Since this is really just a little side project, I'm using this to practise visual storytelling and characterisation techniques, and all those author-ly stuff.Hope yo...

"Wanna do it now" car scene AU smut 🙈Here's a bonus Secret Garden because y'all are so precious and make me laugh all the time â¤ï¸ The hubs was out today and I had the house all to myself so I could work on smut to my pervy lil heart's content!
The Secret Garden #17
An AU / 'what-if' scene sketch of the campfire scene in Asura's Bride (Ep 5). It's been a long while since an AB post and I've really missed it 😠it's quite racy, and a bittersweet little thing. Sugar & Spice will be continued in next week's post.In other news, I've been super busy running errands the last couple days, and I'll catch up with you guys again soonish!Enjoy ☺ï¸
(OLD VERSION) MPL - Ep 25
CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISKOfficially my longest episode ever. Now please excuse me while I collapse. If anyone doesn't mind a song in a foreign language (Chinese), I've been listening to this on repeat: Ling (零) by Alan KuoPosting this on Webtoon in a bit. I'll be taking a few days break so my next update will be on Saturday Jan 16th Feb.Enjoy!
(OLD VERSION) MPL - Ep 25 Sneak Peek
CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISKFinal sneak preview for this ep.I try to work on my techniques (eg. storyboarding, figure drawing, narration etc.) in batches, and I think I've covered most of the comic basics now, so I'm moving on to practice perspective drawings. I think this one went pretty well! But it took a ton of time to set up the perspective rulers and figure out how to draw the characters standing together, especially with such a height and size difference. But I'm happy with it ☺ï¸
MPL - Behind The Scenes
So because I work digitally, I only ever draw my faces left-facing. If the panel requires a right-facing face, I just flip the image when I'm done drawing. It's the most time efficient 'technique' for me because I literally suck so bad at drawing right-facing faces. If any of you are digital artists and face the same problem as me, maybe this might be a solution for you, ha.In this one panel today, I forgot to draw Tora while he's facing left, so I ended up with the wonky image on the right. Later I redrew him left-facing wh...
(OLD VERSION) MPL - Ep 25 Sneak Peek
CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISKHow's the view up there buddy ðŸ˜Just a heads up guys, this ep isn't quite as sexy as I'm making it out to be. Or as cute as the last few eps. There are some rather serious and (maybe) complex issues involved, which is why I'm a little behind schedule - because I spent a long while fixing scenes and re-writing dialogue. I want to make sure the scenes are as understandable as possible without having to spell out everything that's going on to the audience. It's also a challenge to a...
(OLD VERSION) MPL - Ep 25 Sneak Peek
CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISKI initially had her in a lacy little camisole but a baggy sweater makes more sense given the situation and her personality. That would have made for a sexy scene though 😗Edit: Original camisole below!

Announcements + Update
Hi lovelies! I’m here with an update on what’s going on in my life right now, and a little on what to expect from my Patreon page and comics in 2019.But before that I have some matters to address: Credits listDue to the number of patrons I have now, I’m unable to list everyone in the credits any longer so I will be removing this from the rewards for now. Current Patreon goalBy golly I hit my latest goal! Totally did not expect this one to happen so soon. It was a figure I threw in there just to have a goal to work towards. And because I h...

CONTAINS SPOILERS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISKSomeone's a crybaby and someone doesn't quite know what to do with her xDGuys I'm having so much fun with this episode, I can't wait to finish this thing so I can share it with everyone!! Pops and Tora are finally starting to cross that line from strangers to...more than just strangers! (I'm very intuitive and bad at expressing my thoughts at times, but I think one of you might be able to put this into words better than I can 😆)Poppy isn't a strong, tough-minded female protagon...
