EARLY ACCESS: Free Speech in Canada
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/pARoN07_0DYHey everyone, it's Early Access day and all I can say about this week's video is that this might be one of my favorite endings I've ever done. As you know, one of my trademarks is to really try and end a video on a "high-note", leave you with one final joke, one final laugh or "mic-drop moment" as people would have said like 10 years ago, and then ending the video, rather than having some big long sign-off or being like "Yeah so... that's it for this one, thanks for wat...
Bonus #138 - Chinese Store Pretends to be Japanese | MiniSo (Extra Dose)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/iY8fl8uy6EkHere's a little bonus story to go with your bonus video. When I was in my 20s, I knew an Asian girl who told me she dated a guy for 3 months, then they broke up. When she asked why he wanted to end the relationship, he said "because I found out you're Chinese, not Japanese... I want a Japanese girlfriend". Now, if you're a self-respecting weeb (that might be the world's biggest oxymoron, but go with me), you should be able to tell the difference between a Chinese girl and a Japanes...
EARLY ACCESS: YouTube Allowing Copyrighted Music?
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/1FTtQprCiqYEvery so often, YouTube sends a survey to me asking to rank them in a number of areas. I'm actually pretty surprised they continue to do this, since I give them negative feedback every single time. But one of the things they ask to be ranked on is "communication", if users feel they're kept up to date on new and upcoming features. And after watching this video, I think you'll understand why they get ranked so poorly in this, as they bury their announcements in videos a lot of people do...
Bonus #137 - Student Loan Relief (Extra Dose)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/1bCM3BcTwvYHey everyone, it's Bonus Dose day and this one... might be a little controversial. I suppose we'll see. I haven't INTENTIONALLY shied away from doing controversial videos for Patreon, I've just tended to do slightly less serious topics as bonus videos because it's more fun, but I thought "how about we do a political one for a change, let's see what happens!" So here we go... enjoy!Buckley looks at some of the reactions to the recent announcement that Biden's government ...
EARLY ACCESS: Quiet Quitting: A Gen Z Protest
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/aDd7zbOKGCEHey everyone, happy almost Labo(u)r Day weekend to those who celebrate it (I THINK it's a North American holiday here for the first Monday in September, and other countries have their own version on a different day). A fitting holiday to talk about one of the hot new topics on the Internet: "Quiet Quitting", a sort of labor protest where you continue to do labor, just... less of it. I'll let the video tell you the rest. Enjoy!Gen Z, the Internet's favorite punching bag, has just discov...
Bonus #136 - Taylor Swift vs 3LW - Round 2 (Extra Dose)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/4r_yimgm7ekHey everyone, it's bonus Dose day and I'm going half-Buzzfeed on this one... can you BELIEVE it was FIVE WHOLE YEARS AGO that I did a video about Taylor Swift being sued over "Shake it Off"? Well, Taylor thought she was done with that lawsuit, I thought she was done with that lawsuit, but the songwriters had other plans, as they've managed to get a judge to hear a trial over this song later this year. So, enjoy this followup!5 years ago, your ol' pal Buckley talked about Taylor Swi...
EARLY ACCESS: Why Are Comedians Creeps?
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/Sdfygp8aXTcIt's Early Access day and this is a video that's been... nearly 3 years in the making. I keep a document with a list of topics that I may eventually do, some (a lot) just never get done and get moved to another document called "Rejected Ideas", while some stay in my main document while I wait for something more current to happen. In this case, I had a line written that just said "Why do so many Comedians get caught being creepy? I have a theory..." along with a few comedians' n...
Bonus #135 - Rage Reviews: TikTok
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/KZ0bW_1z2PYIt's Bonus Dose Day and have I got a fun one for you today! About a month ago, I thought "I wonder what kind of one-star reviews TikTok gets", I started skimming through them and of course there's some that are reasonable technical issues, some are clearly "your phone's too old and you need to upgrade", and then some are... well, the ones I've highlighted in this all new edition of Rage Reviews. Enjoy!Ahh TikTok. The social media/video site that's gone from "that du...
EARLY ACCESS: Social Media Meltdown #12 (Bieber Better Than The Beatles?!)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/S5s9dN_X9pQAlthough I don't officially do "Angry August" anymore, what August would be complete without me highlighting a bunch of people being angry for no reason!? That's right, this weekend's video is an all new Social Media Meltdown, and who gets angrier on the Internet than people defending their favorite artists? Enjoy!Any time someone posts a list of the best selling songs or most streamed songs, people get upset that their favorite artists aren't listed, or take offense that someone b...
Bonus #134 - Waterpark Weighs Every Guest (Extra Dose)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/4195ykfRfC4It's Tuesday, it's still basically the middle of summer (especially with climate change where summer basically goes until October now!), it's hot everywhere, and have I got a relevant bonus video for you! This is one of those "Buckley saw a local story and decided to have some fun with it" videos that I feel like I really used to do a lot more in the early days of A Dose of Buckley, so if you like those... enjoy!A Waterpark here in Canada was recently in the news because of its policy ...
EARLY ACCESS: Is Britney Spears OK?
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/pPZX8i_hBmoAlright, it's Early Access Day and I've got a big one for you this weekend! In fact, let's just get right to it:Britney Spears has been recently posting some photos on her Instagram in... let's just say, varying stages of undress? Which has prompted many of her fans to worry about her, believing that she's either having another mental health issue, OR is being controlled again. Buckley looks at everything that led to Britney's first meltdown, as well as the nature of fame in genera...
Extra Bonus: Sydney Sweeney: Struggling Celebrity
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/sh_nFr6QVU4Hey everyone, as promised, I put together ANOTHER video this week, as a sort of tribute to the old days of "Angry August". This one's available to everyone right now, I'm posting it on Patreon just to keep a complete archive here, and for those who enjoy the e-mail alerts they get here rather than having to always check YouTube. Enjoy!Sydney Sweeney, one of the stars of the HBO show Euphoria, recently did an interview where she talked about getting to where she is today. And in that interv...
Bonus #133 - The MCU's Still Too White For Jessica Alba (Extra Dose)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/iY9S2cFGY8oHey everyone, it's Bonus Dose day, AND in honor of Angry August, we're going to have... "Agitated August"? I'm going to release an extra video tomorrow (Wednesday, the 10th) to everyone! It's about Sydney Sweeney, who recently complained that she's just barely getting by after making ONLY half a million dollars last year. So you can imagine how much fun I had with that one! But first, let's talk about Jessica Alba, who might be the only one on the entire Internet who thinks...
EARLY ACCESS: Everyone Hates The MetaVerse
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/E8eyKmTTJKsIt's Friday, which means you get to watch the weekend video before everyone else! And this one to me feels like a really old-school Buckley video (except for the length of course), just one of those things where I saw a topic that I think is really interesting and funny to me (in this case, multiple stories over the last 6 months about how awful Mark Zuckerberg's latest project is), I know the algorithm is probably not going to be kind to it, but I had a lot of fun making it, so here we are. Hopef...
Bonus #132 - OnlyFans Girl "Services" Employees For Favors (Extra Dose)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/Eax16zwFtzoHey everyone, it's Bonus Dose Day! And I have a bit of a theme this week, as I'm talking about Meta (Facebook and Instagram) in this bonus video, and then the weekend video will also be about the struggle to get anyone interested in "The Metaverse", specifically some of the issues people have had with Mark Zuckerberg's products (his VR headsets, his "Horizon Worlds" VR Chat, etc.) But let's not get too a"head" of ourselves... that pun will make sense in about 2 minu...
EARLY ACCESS: Musical Autopsy: Beyonce - Break My Soul
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/aSXx8Bcs_nEHey everyone, first off, just a quick note that I went through the July Q&A and answered all of the questions, so feel free to check that out when you have a moment.Anyway, "Early Access day on a THURSDAY? Buckley, did you forget what day it is or something?" No, although that does happen sometimes... but NO, in celebration of getting this video unblocked, and not ONLY unblocked, but having the copyright claim removed from it entirely, I thought "hey, why not make this available 2 days early i...
Bonus #131 - Advice Patreon Asked For - Number Ten
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/JjQSVJzpWQAHey everyone, it's Bonus Dose Day, and as promised earlier this month, it's an all new Advice Patreon Asked For! Before we get to that though, I want to say thanks to everyone who passed on their condolences about Bowie (aka "Rick") and who supported my decision to make last week's exclusive video available to the public. My weekend away was a lot less stressful than it could have been (oh, and for those who care, 3 of our boxers competed, we went home with a Bronze, a Silver, and a Go...
An Apology in Advance...
Hey everyone, so... first off, I want to say sorry for making you read a bunch here (how Canadian am I? I'm already apologizing FOR the apology). But the tl;dr is that I don't think I'm going to be able to release the Musical Autopsy I promised this weekend (though I am hoping to get it out in the future), and I'm going to release this week's Exclusive to everybody instead. So, this week has been... not great. First off, one of our cats, Bowie, who you may have known better as "Rick" from Jason's J'Opinions, d...
Bonus #130 - Revisiting The Ten Worst Songs of 2012
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/v1Ahqmtof2MHey everyone, it's Bonus Dose Day and I've got a special one for you this week! I'm doing my best Buzzfeed impression I guess, as we have a look at my Worst Songs of 2012 video 10(ish) years later, and see what each of the artists I featured have been up to. Would really appreciate your feedback on this, might consider making this an annual Patreon feature, where I look at a different 10-year-old Worst Songs video (so 2013 in 2023, for example). Enjoy!Buckley looks at the artists who made his ...
EARLY ACCESS: Elon Musk vs Donald Trump
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/f5Ce9TZwzFEHave you ever heard the Frankie Goes to Hollywood song “Two Tribes”? The line “when two tribes go to war, a point is all that you can score” feels somewhat relevant for this. Frankie Goes to Hollywood also said “relax”, but no one's doing that on the Internet these days, not a chance! Enjoy your early access to this weekend's video! It's more High School drama on the Internet, as Donald Trump made fun of Elon Musk, Elon Musk heard about it and made fun of Donald Trump, Donald heard ...
Bonus #129 - Rage on the Radio: Protest or Publicity Stunt? (Extra Dose)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/0fJ-_wRNWrMIt's Bonus Dose Day, and today's video is just in time for Rage Against the Machine to be trending AGAIN, as they just began their tour (the one they were supposed to start in 2020) and a bunch of people found out they're political (can you believe it!?) Anyway, today's video is about why they were trending a couple weeks ago, when a radio station played them over and over. Enjoy a little behind-the-scenes look at the radio industry. At the end of June, a Canadian radio station made Interna...
Q&A - July 2022
Hey everyone, we're a third of the way through July and it's time for another Q&A thread! As always, you can ask me serious questions about various world events that I may not have covered in videos, ask about my opinion on things that you like to see if I also like them or not, or ask me bizarre hypothetical questions that may result in a humorous answer. I'll keep an eye on the thread over the month, so if you stumble across this post later in the month, feel free to still use it, don't think "oh I missed my window, I'...
EARLY ACCESS: Nothing Positive About Body Positivity
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/TuN9xNPF6usHey everyone, half of Canada's Internet is out right now and I'm doing this from a hot spotted phone on a network that IS working, so... no lengthy message today, just watch today's new video!Buckley takes a new look at the “Body Positivity movement” in the wake of Sydney Sweeney's red carpet outfit she wore to the MTV Movie and TV awards, as well as Jordan Peterson's reaction to a plus-sized model appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition. Is every body b...
Bonus #128 - Dua Lipa Sued For Posting Picture of HERSELF? (Extra Dose)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/rBqpzJKyahgBefore we get to today's bonus video... I had a few requests from people who wanted to be able to share just the parody ad from the weekend's Roe v Wade video. SO, I've separated it (and updated the audio a little so the music's a little more present). It's available on the following sites: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cfl-qGljeRq/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/ADoseofBuckley/status/1543963490913746950 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ADoseofBuckley/videos/792163942161975/An...

EARLY ACCESS: Why Do We Love YouTube Drama? (Act Man vs Quantum) - A Dose of Buckley
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/airmkPlVu78Hey everyone, it's Early Access Day, and I've made this one available a little earlier than normal, because it's not going to be available in early access for 3 hours on Saturday (from 9am until Noon ET, 1pm - 4pm UTC). I don't think you guys need a long explanation here, but if you'd like one, let me know. Either way, between 9am and Noon on Saturday, I'll be setting this video to "scheduled" on YouTube, which makes it "private" until then, so no one can watch it a...
Bonus #126 - Influencers Force Child to Run a Marathon?! (Extra Dose)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/mgyvuszrT7kHappy Bonus Dose Day! This week and next week's bonus videos are going to be very enjoyable for those of you who like my "Scumbags of the Internet" series, with the subjects of both of them being... more Scumbags of Life than Scumbags of the Internet. This week, we look at a family whose kids seem to be basically a bunch of props, very similar to our friend Nikki Phillippi, who I've done a couple videos about now (a bonus video here and then they graduated to full-on Scumbags of the Intern...
EARLY ACCESS: Pride's Parade of Company Logos
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/Vkl70pSXvGUHappy Friday everyone! It's early access day, and today's video comes right in the middle of Pride month, where so many companies have changed their social media profile pictures to a rainbow version of their logo, and just so conveniently also have rainbow colored merchandise available for you to buy! So I wanted to look at some of the more ridiculous examples this year, and there are some great ones... wait until you get to the NASCAR part of the video. Anyway, enjoy! For the last several years, ...
Bonus #125 - Sony Doesn't Know What A Meme Is (Extra Dose)
VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/IUY23bgDzKwThat's right, it's bonus dose day! And I think this is one that probably would have done well as a weekend video (like two weeks ago) but I'm giving it to you guys exclusively. Enjoy!Do you remember when the Internet was a place where people shared their sincere opinions? No? Me either. But Sony seemed to believe that was exactly what people were doing when they were talking about Morbius, the Jared Leto movie, so much that it kept trending. So Sony thought "Wow, we need to put this back i...
