May 2020 Secret Gallery Minicomic - Curly Hair

As usual, I'm posting this to the feed since it's easier to read in vertical scroll format. But it's also up in the Secret Gallery with a new password, so I'll send out the message in just a moment.I'd been meaning to do this minicomic ever since I did the sphere swap sketches in February and folks on Discord started asking if Belmont's hair was naturally curly. :)

Chapter 4, Page 81 + Schedule Updates

Whew! This one's a little late in the day because architecture. XD I got a little spoiled by the entire last scene that was all easy rock walls.I'm making this post available to all patrons so everyone can get the scheduling updates. Especially this one:I've now completed my 6-month buffer, so comic pages can start posting publicly as soon as we hit 350 patrons! The patron count will be a little low for a few days because it's payment processing time, but hopefully we'll see the number climb back up soon! Whether or not we h...

Patreon and Sales Tax

Hi all!If you haven't already heard, Patreon will be required by law to charge sales tax to patrons, depending on the types of rewards they receive, starting on July 1, 2020. Patreon will send you a separate email on June 1 to let you know how you, specifically, will be affected.According to Patreon: Less than half of all patrons will be charged sales tax, and for most, the amount will be very small. For example, sales tax rates in the US range from 4% to 11%, so on a $5 pledge, that would be between 20 cents and 55 cents.HOWEVER, because I...

Devoted - Merritt's Story 2 - Chapter 23

New chapter is here! I expect the next chapter to come around this same time next month. Since May is a Sketch Tier month, I won't have too much time to dive into the chapter until June. We only have a few chapters left of book 2!Don't forget, you can usually find some enthusiastic discussion about the latest Merritt's Story chapter over on Discord! Make sure your Discord account is connected to Patreon to access the patrons-only channels.Create your Discord account here:https://discordapp.com/Connect your Discord account to Patreon...

DOTU Scene Compilation - Ch4 P71-80

At last, the current scene has finished, so I'm posting the latest scene compilation!I already gave an update on the status of public pages to the early access folks, but here it is for everyone:We're also only one page away from hitting our 6-month page buffer for DOTU to return to the public. But, as with the last round, we still need to return to the threshold of 350 patrons before public pages will post. You guys are all awesome and already pledging, but if you want to help us meet the goal, you can share the comic with people you k...

Chapter 4, Page 80

And that's the end of the scene! Keep an eye out - over the next half hour or so, I'll upload the latest scene compilation! We're also only one page away from hitting our 6-month page buffer for DOTU to return to the public. But, as with the last round, we still need to return to the threshold of 350 patrons before public pages will post. You guys are all awesome and already pledging, but if you want to help us meet the goal, you can share the comic with people you know who you think might enjoy it!Whether or not the pages go public,...

April 2020 Minicomic - Idiot Sandwich

This one was inspired by a comment by an awesome member on Discord! As usual, I posted it here since it's easier to read minicomics here, but it also went up in the offsite Secret Gallery and I'll send out the new login in just a second. Here's the full comic!April letters will go out tomorrow!

Chapter 4, Pages 78-79 (double update 2 of 2)

2-page spread! Here are the pages individually:I'm aiming to send out the Secret Gallery illustration tonight! And then April's monthly letter will go out tomorrow. Also, there's only one page left of this scene, so ALL patrons will get a big fat 9-page scene compilation with the next update, around the middle of the month!

Chapter 4, Page 77 (double update 1 of 2)

We got another coming in just a sec!

Devoted - Merritt's Story 2 - Chapter 22

Woot, new chapter! I hope you enjoy the back-to-back updates! But alas, I now have to catch up on other DOTU-related obligations (rewards, next page, etc.), so the next chapter will come with the usual wait. I'm aiming for mid-May.Monthly $5 letters and the Secret Gallery illustration will come a few days after the end of the month, primarily due to a big carpal-tunnel-inducing freelance job I'm wrapping up by Friday. We'll also have the next DOTU update on Monday! And now, the new chapter! As usual, you can read it inline or downloa...

Devoted - Merritt's Story 2 - Chapter 21

I hope you guys are doing all right! New chapter is here! I'm also planning the next chapter for next week. It'll be a very busy week, so cross your fingers for me! :DAs usual, you can read the new chapter inline or download the attached PDF.[Table of Contents]--------Book 2, Chapter 21He couldn’t breathe. His lungs threatened to rupture if he inhaled one more time. Sweat dripped from the edge of his eyelashes into his eyes, muddling his vision. His legs ached. His shoulders ached. He was euphoric. With a weary, grateful smile, he bumpe...

Chapter 4, Page 76

I'd hate to see her with a birthday cake.....Coming up, we have a single-panel page and a 2-page spread. For the sake of pacing, I'll probably post them all together, so the next update will technically be a block of 3 pages. We'll also have two weeks in a row of Merritt's Story updates! The new chapters will come this Thursday and next Thursday, and together they'll be about 60 pages of story.

Chapter 4, Page 75

New page, hot off the press! So hot it's scalding :ONot too much news at the moment, I'm just plugging along. I'm flying through revisions on the next several Merritt's Story chapters, so I'm hoping to get those in sooner rather than later. We'll have at least another chapter this month, possibly more. I'm hoping to get the next few chapters out in quick succession because they read better together.

March 2020 Secret Gallery Minicomic - "April Fools" (nsfw)

Okay, so it's a few days past April 1 - but this is a story, not a prank on you guys, so I think it's all right. ^_^ Thanks for waiting for this one! See below for the minicomic. It's also in the secret gallery, but of course minicomics are easier to read here.

Devoted - Merritt's Story 2 - Chapter 20

This chapter is a little shorter, but every chapter from 21 to the end is a Big Deal. I'm aiming to get the next chapter in by late April, but as I said, we're in Big Deal territory, so thorough revising/editing is key. :)As usual, you can read the chapter inline or download the attached PDF. And don't forget to stop by Discord if you're itching for some real time discussion/dissection of the latest chapter! :DPsst, speaking of Discord, I've been thinking of doing another Merritt's Story chat event since I know a lot of ...

A note about snail mail letters, and here's what's on the way!

March email and snail mail letters have been sent! We got a guest letter from Yackley this month. :)I'm finishing a custom card portrait today. Here's what's coming after that: Secret Gallery Art: Tomorrow, possibly Thursday if Merritt's Story edits run long Merritt's Story P2 Ch20: This Thursday 4/2 New DOTU Page: MondayApril funding might be volatile, so I'm not sure what my schedule will look like beyond the above three things. I'll keep you updated!Anyway, about the snail mail letters - I've been keeping an e...

Chapter 4, Page 74

A little late, but as promised, here it is! Big thanks to everyone for understanding. I was a little too scatterbrained to reply to comments about the delay, but I REALLY appreciated them! <3Anyway, I like this page. ^_^

New page is coming Wednesday!

Freelance ran overtime because I haven't been at my most efficient this week. -_- I'm a touch behind, but today and tomorrow are DOTU days, so we will still get all our monthly pages! We also have monthly rewards coming around the end of the month, and the next Merritt's Story chapter goes up on April 2. :DI hope all of you are doing all right!

Devoted - Merritt's Story 2 - Chapter 19

New chapter is here! And we'll have a new DOTU page on Monday! And, for anyone who's wondering - For now, my work schedule hasn't changed. I can't control the long term, but in the near term I'm still getting freelance work. I also don't have any immediate need to decrease production on DOTU. I'm staying holed up at home with over-washed zombie hands, which... isn't much different. >.> So it's business as usual, but taking things one day at a time.I hope you guys are all doing all right! If you're getting ...

Poll! Where did you read DOTU before pledging?

Hey guys! I'm doing this poll to help me prioritize the sites where I share public DOTU pages. I sent out a similar poll 3 years ago, but times and site usage have changed, so I want to get some updated info, especially since I'm determined to get those PG-13 mobile episodes out this month!I'd like to hear from everyone! But I'm especially interested in hearing from those of you who discovered DOTU within the last year. If you're new to DOTU and are willing to also leave a comment saying where you read and how long ago you s...

Chapter 4, Page 73

New page! It's all right, people don't really need spines anyway...

So, look out for lots of s...

DOTU Bonus Mini - A Text from Pogo

This week has been an adventure! With freelance running overtime and me having to buy a new printer on short notice (because even expensive inkjets cost as much to repair as to replace ;_;), I'm a bit behind. I'm about halfway done with last quarter's Sketch Tier sketches and hope to get them up by tonight, tomorrow at the latest. The DOTU page I was hoping to get up last Monday will go up this Monday. We'll still have the same number of pages this month. One thing I'm not running behind on is Merritt's Story. I had drawi...

Update for Snail Mail $5+ Patrons/Sketch Patrons

Congratulations to me, my printer has broken. *sigh* The entire printhead has fallen off its track. I plan to get it repaired, but since it's the weekend, I can't get a time or cost estimate yet.Sketch Tier Sketches will wrap up in the next few days, so the letters will go out shortly after - by whatever means necessary, haha. In the meantime, I included the letter below so you guys wouldn't have to wait to read it (unless you want to wait). Also, due to necessity, I've been looking into areas where I can cut time without decreas...

I promised a BIG HONKER, and here it is!

Scheduling+Milestone Goal Updates

Hey guys! The new page just went up for Early Access patrons! We're currently funded for 2x/monthly page updates, but I've been doing bonus ~weekly updates for the past few months, just to try to give a little something extra to the folks who supported all this time. I hope you've liked the extra pages!Sadly, it's now time for me to drop back down to the official 2x/monthly updates. Sketch Tier month + 2 Merritt's Story chapters + a ton of freelance means my February is getting super hectic. Pledges are down since I've be...

Chapter 4, Page 72

I gotta admit, that first panel with Jordana and Gray was very satisfying to draw. XD Though she probably had to jump to reach him.New page! I also have some scheduling/milestone goal updates, but I'll post those separately because only Early Access patrons can see this post, and I want everyone to get the updates.
