[Spoiler] Ch4 P65-66 Pencil

Next two pencils! P64 final goes up tomorrow, and I'm also aiming to get November's Secret Gallery art up tomorrow. As I mentioned, rewards would run a couple days late this month - sketch tier month + holiday + getting back on the weekly page schedule means I have lots to get done. XDThese pages are a little looser than the last two, in part because some things are easier/more efficient to draw in detail straight with the ink brush instead of doing detailed pencils first.

Chapter 4, Page 63

Weekly pages for Early Access patron start now! The last public page will also go up on the main site in just a minute! https://www.demonoftheunderground.comImage compression isn't being kind to this page, so I also included it as an attachment. The attachment should hopefully look a little more crisp, unless that one ends up getting another round of compression too, haha.I'll be starting Sketch Tier sketches this week. Monthly rewards might run past the beginning of December because the Sketch Tier sketches always take a huge chunk of ...

[Spoiler] Ch4 P64 Pencil + process notes

I finished most of this pencil yesterday, so I decided to wrap it up today before doing my freelance. I'm going to try to knock out a couple more pencils over the next few days, but at least part of the weekend will go toward the p63 final. The text is on for this page, but I'm leaning toward leaving the text off for the pencils for the remainder of the scene, to keep the final pages more special. XD But I'm open to dissenting opinions! If you have a preference for text vs no text, let me know.My pencils are always a little rough. I ...

[Spoiler] Ch4p63 Pencil

Little preview of the next page. I'm trying to hammer out the next pencil tonight/tomorrow too, but I also have a freelance thing tomorrow, so we'll see how things go!(btw, it's not so clear right now before the page is colored, but those angels/demons are statues.)

Weekly EARLY ACCESS DOTU Pages Start Next Monday! +other news

Hey guys! I've been a bit quiet this month. It's been a couple weeks since I finished moving into the new place, but one of the curses of working from home is that, when you move, you're moving both your home and your work space at the same time. (Oh, and then there's the pets...) The move was a lot more disruptive than I'd anticipated, so I wasn't able to jump into full 100% productivity as quickly as I'd expected. But now I'm getting back into my routine, and I've made some good progress on the next DOTU sce...

October Snail Mail Letters - Update

Hey guys! I'm officially moved into the new condo! As you might remember, I couldn't send out snail mail letters at the end of October because my computer and my printer moved at different times. (Email letters went out as scheduled.) I still have a lot of unpacking to do, but I expect to get the snail mail letters out over the next ~2 days. But I don't want you guys to have to wait that long to be able to read the letters, so in the meantime I'm posting it here to all $5+ patrons. It'll only stay up until a few days after th...

Merritt's Story 1 Finale Chapters - Permissions Fix

It was just brought to my attention that another Merritt's Story post, the book 1 finale chapters, had the same permissions error that a few Book 2 chapters previously had. Basically, patrons in one of my $2 tiers got locked out of posts back when Patreon changed their permissions system to be tier-based instead of dollar-based. I'd thought I'd fixed all the problem chapters, but I missed this one.If anyone in a $2 tier had trouble accessing the book 1 finale chapters, you should be able to read them now:https://www.patreon.com/post...

[Merritt's Story P2 Ch16 Spoiler] Sketch - What are you doing?

I just had to draw it. :)

October Secret Gallery Art - Process Video

The finished color art and background info on this pic is in the Secret Gallery! I'll send out the login and new password in just a moment! There's also two bonuses for Secret Gallery patrons this month. Here's the first one! It's a 30-second process video showing the line art for the illustration. This was done in Procreate. (if you're wondering what that mess of random perspective lines was in the middle, that was me making a backup grid in case I needed to do more perspective work in my version of Photoshop, which doesn&#3...

Devoted - Merritt's Story 2 - Chapter 16 (+schedule updates)

It's here! It's here at last! I'm expecting to be able to post regular updates for Merritt's Story for the foreseeable future. There will be some other delays, however:I mentioned at the start of the month that moving and health issues could get in the way of productivity this month. My health should hopefully be in the clear for the next ~21 days, though I did lose a handful of workdays in October. The main issue is the move. All the prep is done, and I'm now in the midst of packing. The October Secret Gallery art and the em...

Poll Results!

I posted two polls last week, and we have results on both of them! So, here's what it all means.Poll #1First, we had the public poll for the Lychgate freebie short story. This one was a landslide. The winner, with 84% of the vote, is.....Cat of Death! So that means that, when we meet our next goal of 20 Amazon reviews for Art of Death, I'll post the full short story. I'll also post excerpts along the way!Poll #2And then we had the second, patrons only poll about which thing you guys want to see next. The choices were Faster DOTU Page...

Honktober 2019 (part 1)

As promised, here's my alternate Inktober! XD It is, of course, not at all related to DOTU, but I had a few people request for all the inktobers to be posted here, so here you go! :)It's also on tumblr. And here's 2017's round again!

A few Inktobers!

I haven't gotten too far along in Inktober yet this year. Almost all of last week was dedicated to moving prep, and the week before was heavy on freelance. I wasn't planning to do every single prompt, but I'm hoping I can fit in at least 10 standard inktober prompts along with all 31 Honktober sketches. XDI've posted the first two publicly, but #3 is brand new!1. Ring (Lychgate/Art of Death)This one is from the scene in Art of Death where Nick offers Riley a ring.....2. Mindless (Merritt's Story)I'll leave this one witho...

Poll #2: [Lychgate] Free Short Stories!

So, I mentioned before that I was going to announce something if we hit 10 Amazon reviews for Art of Death. We met that goal, so here's the news!I plan to share some free Lychgate series short stories! Again, they will be shared in celebration of hitting future review milestones. Since we hit 10, I'm sharing the first stage of the celebration: You get to choose which story I write first, and you get to see the ridiculous cover art. XDHere are the choices! Both take place between Art of Death and Bonds of Death.1. Cat of Death: Against R...

POLL #1: What do you want to see first?

I have two polls coming today! One is for DOTU, and one is for the Lychgate series. I'll also be posting a few Inktobers! So, the poll - tell me what you want to see *first*. Feel free to comment and elaborate if you need to.A few notes:1. "Faster DOTU pages" means I would produce patron-only pages at a faster rate than the current milestone goals, for a set number of months. After that, we'd need to hit the milestone goals to make it permanent. Faster patrons-only pages will also lead to the comic being able to stay public for l...

Chapter 4, Page 62

Who's the best liar in the underground...?A new public page also just went up:https://www.demonoftheunderground.com/comic/p307/There's a few things going on!First, there's a new TopWebcomics voting incentive! It's a preview of last month's Secret Gallery minicomic with Pogo and Annie. You can vote and see the image here! It's a new month, so votes are especially powerful!Second, I'm doing some Merritt's Story illustrations for Inktober this month! Not every prompt, but I'll at least do a handful. The first on...

September Secret Gallery Minicomic!

I'm posting September's Secret Gallery art both here and in the secret gallery because the secret gallery isn't so great at handling vertical scrolling comics. So, you'll get the usual private message in a moment too. Or just read on for a little story about Pogo an Annie! :)

Pogo's September 2019 GUEST Letters Have Been Sent!

Pogo's September 2019 guest letters have been sent to all processed $5+ patrons, so you should be getting them soon! Email letters went out earlier in the evening, so if you haven't received them yet and they aren't in your spam folder, let me know. September's Secret Gallery illustration will go up tomorrow, and October rewards will go out at the end of October!I'm sure you guys were all waiting at the edge of your seats to hear from Bardia. :P But he actually does have some interesting insights! Also, thanks to everyone who...

Bob News! Here's what's going on, and what's coming up!

First off, the usual - September Patreon rewards will be going out today and tomorrow! A new public DOTU page went up today, and the newest Patreon page went out last Thursday, so be sure to check them out if you haven't.Now I'm going to try to break things down by category to let you know what's going on.Bob StuffI've been crunching for the past 6 months - working with my publisher on 3 novels, manufacturing and sending out 80 enamel pins, bringing DOTU pages back to the public, doing new Patreon pages, and of course tending to...

Chapter 4, Page 61

Thanks for waiting for this one to go up! The latest public page also just went up on the main site:https://www.demonoftheunderground.com/comic/p305/Also, big thanks to everyone who's bought and/or reviewed Art of Death! I’d really love to hit 10 reviews on Amazon by the 1-month mark, October 3. My ultimate goal is 50 reviews because that’s the number that really helps books get seen based on Amazon algorithms. But I have some fun stuff planned for when we hit various review milestones. I’ll let you know more next week. And of course,...

DOTU page will go up in 1-2 days!

The next Patreon page is about halfway done, but my chronic illness hit at an unexpected time yesterday afternoon, and I'm still having trouble staying upright with my eyes open. -_- I can feel that it's progressing, so depending on how fast I can get back to work, the new page will either go up tomorrow or Wednesday.Same goes for the new public page. Even though the page is finished, I can't manage posting and doing my announcements, so that will likely go up tomorrow. Thanks for waiting, dudes!

Pogo's August 2019 Letters Have Been Sent!

I'm still running a bit behind after the Sketch round, but I'm catching up! The Secret Gallery illustration is still in the works. I underestimated the amount of pre-release prep I had to do for my book, so I couldn't wrap it up when I wanted, and now tomorrow (TODAY!?) is new release day, so my availability will be a little spotty. BUT I have a feeling working on some art will help me keep some sanity throughout the day, so we'll see how it goes.Pogo's August 2019 letters have been sent to all processed $5+ AUGUST patrons, ...

[NSFW] August 2019 Sketch Tier Sketches 13-18

So, funny story - I've been on the internet for like 2 decades so I come from an era where nudity isn't nudity unless there are actual specific body parts showing, but these days due to credit card company and App Store restrictions, a lot of companies including Patreon have changed/clarified their rules to state that implied nudity is the same as full nudity. >.> So earlier in the year, I did that one joke sketch of naked Troy with the big basket of grapes in his lap, and that got my page marked as 18+. :PSo I figured why not have some...

August 2019 Sketch Tier Sketches 1-6

First things first, some scheduling updates! Those of you who've been pledging for a long time probably know that Sketch months always throw my schedule out of whack. This month was especially bad... so, Pogo's monthly letters will go out to email patrons tomorrow, and the Secret gallery illustration will go up Monday. Snail mail letters will go out Tuesday because Monday's a postal holiday. As always, if your August pledge cleared, you'll get your August reward regardless of your September pledge status.Second thing! The next pa...
