BAB3 -Chapter 16
# Chapter 16: Afternoon Dragon\\\\\\The second Xay’s bare toes touched the dirt, he set Valiant down—only to be immediately flung backward through the archway behind him.“That is not how you enter Dragon Hall!” Master Hui’s voice boomed from ahead. He hadn’t been struck, only forcibly ejected. It didn’t hurt, and he was able to right himself in the air, landing smoothly on his feet as his Jetnir Orbs settled into a slow orbit.Master Hui, the Black Master, was on him a second later, her fierce eyes sharp and narrowed. She wore an orn...
BAB3 -Chapter 15
# Chapter 15: Morning Vitality\\\\\\The next morning, Xay slept in longer than usual. The excitement from the day before—and having his internal organs thoroughly discombobulated—had really taken it out of him.The moment he emerged from the basement, the ladies gave him an earful.Lexi hurled a few creative variations of “idiot” his way. Kimi, while understanding his intentions, still told him: “You could’ve gone about it in a better way.”Tyra and Ezra fussed over him, doing their best to heal him further. Rox thought the whole thi...
BAB3 -Chapter 14
# Chapter 14: No\\\\\\Shifu Wu led the way back from the viewing platform. She guided everyone across a gently swaying wooden bridge worn smooth by the passage of many bare feet.Xay had noticed that none of the monks or nuns wore shoes. It was probably part of their training, but he wasn’t sure he was ready to give up his sneakers to fit in.As they gradually approached the central plateau, the air grew stiller—filled with a calm unlike anything Xay had ever experienced before.“Welcome to the Main Hall,” Shifu Wu announced with reverence...
BAB3 -Chapter 13
# Chapter 13: Arrival\\\\\\As Xay and the others approached the massive mountain range, he finally noticed the shimmering, gold-tinted barrier encompassing the entire pass.He immediately recognized the mystical energy from his experience with Shifu Wu’s barriers. The energy didn’t behave like mana, though it could accomplish many of the same feats. Shifu Wu had explained that it was the power of her ancestors. To summon and command mystic energy, small rituals, hand seals, prayers, and talismans were required. Xay found the art itself beautif...
BAB3 -Chapter 12
# Chapter 12: Fallout\\\\\\While Xay and his friends were leaving the City of New Meridian, Bethany lay curled up in her bed with the lights off.She had been like that for days—not sleeping, nor eating. She thought she had stopped the explosion. She thought that reporting what she overheard to Alan had made a difference.Bethany had once managed the Quantium Boutique located beneath the penthouse that Xay and the others frequented.Lexi had her transferred to another store after she flirted a little too aggressively with Xavyer X on the day he a...
BAB3- Chapter 11
# Chapter 11: Journey’s Beginning \\\\\\The next day came faster than Xay had anticipated. It had officially been a week since the Aero Cup, and he was about to leave the City of New Meridian for the very first time. They’d be back in just under two months, but still, he found himself slightly anxious. It wasn’t the fact that they’d be traveling through the Wilds either. He was actually a little excited to see it.Xay knew that the further you ventured from society, the worse the Wilds became. But they weren’t actually traveling all that ...
BAB3 -Chapter 10
# Chapter 10: Final Preparations \\\\\\Xay slept for over fifteen hours. After leaving the dungeon, his entire group had gotten cleaned up, ordered takeout, and completely crashed. It was well earned. That Saturday morning, while waiting for Rox, Xay sat quietly in his room thinking about their performance in the dungeon. His team had dominated most of the floors—and even the ones that weren’t outright slaughters were still overwhelming victories. The overall difficulty hadn’t been especially high, though. He’d rate floors one through five ...
BAB3 -Chapter 9
# Chapter 9: Dungeon Domination 4\\\\\\Xay woke up groaning on a sticky bench in the final Safe Zone of the ninth floor.**Cosmos Academy Dungeon Floor 9: Murder Hive.**The entire floor had been one massive wasp hive, teeming with hundreds of six-foot B-Ranked Army Wasp monsters. If Xay had to choose his most hated insect, it was wasps. If he didn’t have to choose, it was still wasps. It had been a long, arduous grind since the fifth floor.Floor six was essentially a giant maze filled with hidden traps and misleading illusions—most of which Xa...
BAB3 -Chapter 8
# Chapter 8: Dungeon Domination 3\\\\\**Cosmos Academy Dungeon Floor 4: Fungal Wastes.**The group was immediately greeted by moist air and the musty scent of rampant mildew. There were also mushrooms—lots and lots of mushrooms. They were absolutely everywhere.Fungi of every height and color blanketed a soft, squishy landscape, most glowing faintly blue and purple in the gloom.Wisps of greenish-yellow fog drifted lazily across a single, flat path ahead.“How does it smell worse than the undead here?” Lexi half-gagged, covering her mouth and ...
BAB3 -Chapter 7
# Chapter 7: Dungeon Domination 2\\\\\\**Cosmos Academy Dungeon Floor 2: Savanna Oasis.**The group emerged onto a sun-drenched plain, where orangish-red grass rustled in a gentle breeze and sparse, scattered trees dotted the horizon.A single blue-shelled locust buzzed past—only to be sliced cleanly in two by Kimi in a flash.**Crystal Locust (F-Rank) Lv 3**: *A crystalline swarming insect with a ravenous hunger for meat.*“I want this floor,” Kimi said with a dangerous spark in her eye.During their first dive, these very locusts had swarmed...
BAB3 -Chapter 6
# Chapter 6: Dungeon Domination\\\\\\The next morning, Xay, Dragon, Lexi, Kimi, Tyra, and Willow shared a light breakfast in their kitchen before getting ready.Everyone was hype to leave the city, especially Tyra. This was only the largest hurdle standing in their way.It was finally time to clear the Cosmos Academy Dungeon. The dungeon was broken into ten floors, each with its own biome, monster type, and final boss.“Floors one through five are what first-years are typically expected to clear,” Kimi explained between bites. “Six through te...
BAB3 -Chapter 5
# Chapter 5: The Gifts\\\\\\The shark maid staff aggressively cleared the table, flashing sharp teeth and predatory grins the entire time.“I’m first,” Lexi said, sliding a small silvery box in front of Xay.She loved his birthdays—mostly because they were the only times he’d accept a gift from her without protest. She gave him a nose ring last year that acted as dimensional storage, and this year, she was upgrading it.Grinning, Xay flipped the lid on the hard-shell box—and immediately burst out laughing.“What is it?!” Tyra asked i...
BAB3 -Chapter 4
# Chapter 4: The Birthday\\\\\\Xay found himself floating in a sea of darkness, surrounded by tiny, multicolored lights. A familiar, ancient presence enveloped him—but stronger than ever before. In front of his eyes, the lights spun and flowed rapidly toward him. They touched his body, flowed inside, and coalesced into a powerful eruption of energy. From within him, a complete world even more spectacular than the Dream World poured forth.A brilliant blue sky stretched as far as he could see, dotted with a few wispy clouds drifting lazily across...
BAB3 -Chapter 3
# Chapter 3: Making Plans\\\\\\“Why does he live in the sewer again?” Ezra asked, grimacing. “You’d think he could live literally anywhere else.”“Well, it’s called ‘Sewer Samurai,’ not ‘Anywhere Else Samurai,’” Lexi laughed.Xay was currently lying on the sectional, buried beneath a pile of women dressed only in lingerie. Lexi, Kimi, and Tyra were cuddled up on his back, while Ezra sat right next to the heap.Dragon and Willow were both on the loveseat to the side. They were watching “Sewer Samurai 3: Flush with Danger,...
BAB3 -Chapter 2
# Chapter 2: Emotional Instability\\\\\\Xay luxuriated atop Lexi and Kimi’s thighs as his two active cognitive threads focused on working his puzzle with *Psychokinesis*.After taking the Nootropic Concretion Serum, his cognition expanded, accelerated, and split into four parallel threads. His mental faculties and control of psychic force had taken a significant leap. But the flood of sensory data he now automatically gathered and processed could be overwhelming. That was especially true when his Skill Talent, *ESP*, was active—which it always...
BAB3 -Chapter 1
# Chapter 1: Brutal Impact\\\\\\Rox punched forward with devastating force. Xay met the tough redhead’s fist with his own, knuckle to knuckle, refusing to yield an inch.He wasn’t relying on psionics or intricate martial forms—just raw, bare-knuckle brawling, matching his advisor blow for blow.Xay kicked out, his foot catching her toned thigh just as she drove an elbow into his chin.Xay’s Bloodline had given him a flat 5,000 across all stats at 50% manifestation—more than Rox’s base Might and Grit. However, two of her Bloodline Abilit...

Author Update 5/30/25
BAB2 Wrap UpYo, that's a wrap on Bond Arsenal 2. I had a lot of fun with this one, testing out a few extended mini-arcs and more character direction. If you’ve enjoyed the book here, please consider leaving a review on Amazon when it drops. Reviews are overpowered in the Amazon universe. I would say the more the better, but I’ve found out the hard way that it takes nearly ten 5 star ratings to drown out a single 1 star review. It’s maddening. (If you didn’t like the book, please tell no one and just let me be great.)Release Date: Jun...

BAB2 -Chapter 40
# Chapter 40: Aero Cup 2\\\\\\Just moments before Xay exited the tunnel, everyone back at the Quantium Rooftop was in high spirits. Amy, Valiant, and the twins splashed around playfully in the pool, their laughter echoing off the glass walls.Remington tore into a rack of ribs nearly the size of his head, while Lexi kept bickering with Aunt Gwen and her mom’s hologram. Off to the side, Tyra and Willow mimicked each other in a rapid-fire game of shapeshifting, their forms changing in perfect sync.Kimi set the local holo screen to Stacy Vega’s...

BAB2 -Chapter 1
# Chapter 1: New Normal\\\\\\“Morning, Sunshine!” Rox shouted, startling Xay and Lexi awake. The strong redhead grinned down at the two as they lay under the plush covers. She was the definition of chiseled beauty, wearing a tight black crop top that revealed her well-defined abs under her signature red combat jacket.“Ugh, five more minutes,” Lexi groaned, pulling the cover over her head. The spunky platinum blonde was the antithesis of a morning person. As Xay’s deepest bond outside of Dragon, she routinely spent the night with him. Xa...
