Mostly WIPs
Some commissions, some paintings for cons
WIPs
Paintings that will go to a con art show, probably TFFI think I'm going to keep working on that top one. Not sure yet!
A new art dump
Hey, everyone! I've been working on commissions from MFF. I did a few pieces for FWA that are NDA until the con. Looking at the uploads, they're all commissions. I haven't had a lot of time for anything else, but I'll have to paint for FWA and AC
A lot of different stuff
Heyoooo I'm still alive, I promise. I've been working on a new painting for FC and some commissions from MFF.
It is ALMOST CONVENTION TIME
Jesus Christ on a bicycle, I am so sorry I've been AWOL here. I've been feverishly working on getting merch together and it's been fighting me every step of the way. Resin is a bitchy, fussy, messy material that I've been learning all the quirks of the past three or so months. It'll bubble, stick, goop, go soggy, etc under the wrong conditions. Those flat pins I've made iterations of at least twenty times and have only just gotten good, saleable ones. It's just a matter of trial and error and learning what happens ...
I might just give up on this, too!!
I drew it ages ago and I feel like I could compose a painting better now.
Possibly finished, possibly a WIP, possibly a dud
I'm just not suuuuure where I'm going with this one... I might have tried to do too many things with it. Or I might need to keep going to get it to come together. It's hard to tell! Honestly, a lot of things an artist produces are not great. One artist painted a hundred paintings over a year and selected ONE to display in a gallery. Most artists don't have that as an option, alas!
two sketches to be painted
for MFF
Cat WIP
Not totally sure where I'm headed with this. I might just let it be as a rougher painting
A finished painting, sketches, and a WIP
Like the title says! I'm just chugging along making art for the MFF art show
Two thumbnails for commissions and a sketch for a .. sticker?
Or a real media painting. or both. I haven't decided yet.
Just a small update
Someone on Twitter is commissioning me for these images of Scar and Kion. They know I'm working on convention stuff so they're ok with it being a slow trickle. I'm also sharing some of the shitposts I put on other people's tweets/skeets. Sometimes the inspo strikes. And then some cat pics. My four hairy children. I'm reaching that point where I have my resin molds made and it's time to get back to 2D art for the art show, so expect more paintings sooN!
Figuring these little bastards out
But I'm pleased. Those first stages where you don't know what you're doing and everything looks bad and you instantly see all these mistakes, nothing but mistakes, is the worst. I'm trudging on regardless.
Little pin designs
Something more simple.
More resin pendants
I'm learning how to do this bit by bit. The first stages where I don't know WHAT is going on are always very frustrating, and I want to give up, but I'm sticking with it. And making gains sloooooowly.
Beefy file of finished painting and WIP sculpture
Pshew, I feel like I finally have sculpting figured out enough to make a worthwhile pin. And here is my first that isn't a dud.
A lot of things going on
Sorry; I've been bad about uploading consistently. I don't have a lot finished, but I have a lot of pots on the stove. First, a pin and/or pendant. Then a painting commission. Then some little thingies I made just for experiments. And a WIP of another painting.
Two new figure commissions
I've been going back and forth between these and paintings.
Three new paintings
I've been having a lot of fun just painting, painting, painting. Feels good!!
It's texture time!
Using up leftover paint for textures
Dragon portrait
Another painting for the MFF art show
Another figure drawing and a painting
Getting started on MFF stuff!
Four anatomical drawings
The big sizes :O
Talin drawings
Talin is a super cool dude who always gets a bunch of sketches from me at MFF. I'm working on this year's round to deliver.
WIP resin pendants
I am working on my resin stuff. Here are a couple of beginning pendants that I can test out my casting on, play with color and such. And send some to my $10 up patrons! I finally have some freakin' regular merch lol
wind dragon WIP
UUUURGH my roommate and I have been building a new computer and it has been just one problem after another. Finally it's working but some of my saved passwords are wrong and I have to download software all over again and blah blah blah. It's slowed me down. Everything is going better now, though; and I'm working on serious art again. Here's a wip
More little sketches
For future paintings!
A lot of finished stuff
I've been working on things but haven't finished them until just recently. And then there are some potential paintings
Bog Fellow and friend
Trying to come up with a new character(s) for art fight. He started out more catlike and became more dragony as things went on. I'm still not totally sold on the design. It's rather hateful for artfight. There's just too much going on.
Three new textures
Just a few pieces of mat board with leftover paint on them. Still useful!
