Broadsword 001
Original Story, Characters, and Dialogue by DrowemosAdapted with Additional Material by Scott T. Hickenillustrated byErwin PrasetyaWhat is Broadsword?I've loved EXIERN for a long time. Not as long as many, as I missed the original pages that posted before Drowemos restarted things. But ever since reading those early pages of Ol' Mac's narration I've been hooked. I loved how things jumped right into the action, and Typhan-Knee's predicament. As my involvement with EXIERN and Typh has evolved, I've been asking myself some c...

EXIERN TEST by Antipus
I hope all the NEESE readers will forgive me this delay in posting Shipeng's final NEESE page. It will post next month, and I believe I have secured a new artist for NEESE. I'm excited about that and will provide more detail when I comfortable sharing. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this exclusive sneak peak at the style and talents of EXIERN's next artist, Antipus. The page above is a stand-alone one-off test I asked Antipus to do so we could see how well we work together. He is a delight, and I am very pleased with how this page ...

Exiern.com issues
I am aware Exiern.com is experiencing issues. I do not know why and am looking into it.
Peonie's Escape Sequence
Please find attached a .ZIP file containing the pages from Peonie's Escape. These are the original pages, before multiple layers of censorship needed to be added. You must be 18+ to download and view.If you are viewing this on the new Patreon Landing Page you need to click into the post to download the file.Although I've made requests to Patreon for a way to make posts sticky, I know it is sometimes hard to find items in the post feed - even for me! If you can't find a particular sequence please message me and I'm happy to try a...
Long Time Artist Shipeng Lee has moved on from Exiern
Hello all,I learned today that long time Exiern artist Shipeng Lee has found a new job and is leaving Exiern. My best wishes to him and his future. He has left the comic before finishing the last batch of pages I sent to him. I am already speaking with some other artists about completing his arc. This does not impact the other Exiern plans.I have removed the "Give Our Artist A Raise" goal from the Patreon list to reflect his departure, and I wanted to make sure everyone understood why.Hope you are all well,Scott

How To Destroy Exiern in 20 Pages
Or, How I Learned That Changing My Writing Habits Is HardThis isn't a long post or anything with a lot of deep insight. But I wanted to start sharing more with the Patreon supporters, and a flooded basement took the time I had scheduled to post DR and Neese so I wanted to get something up (those will come this week).Someday in the future there may be a thorough look back on Exiern and what it took to get it created and ongoing. Drowemos' early work and the transition to the ongoing comic we now have. Chemiclord's outlines as he tran...
The Execution of EXECUTION
I am immensely proud of Exiern. That said, I know it isn’t perfect. I read all the commentsand I know readers have pointed out some of its shortcomings. They’ve also missedsomethat I’mveryconscious of. Isuppose that this is the point where I could try and excuse them for reasons, but I’d much rather learn from them. For as long as I have been writing Exiern, the process has changedvery little. Each month I write a couple pages to send off to illustration(usually between 6 and 8), and these script pages have been written based ontwo things; ...
