Pre-Vacation Update

Hey, I just wanted to give you one more update before I go on vacation for a week. This is mostly just going to be a reiteration of last update but there will be a little bit of new stuff too.The next animation with Miranda is going really well. I'm planning it to be about an 11 second loop. She'll be partnered up with a Krogan, and he'll be teaching her about the fine culture of Tuchanka. Miranda WIP

That's right, we're finally going to Tuchanka! This is going to be a pretty simple animation. I'm aiming for 11 seconds and will experiment using a couple cameras for it. The base animation is actually in really good shape and has come together quickly. I've not really done much with the NLA editor itself so far with this one, but the impact is still being felt because I think learning the NLA editor has dramatically improved my workflow.I'm linking the next ones in case people don't want to be spoiled for more details.L...

Quick Update

Hey guys, I just wanted to give you a quick update. I have a vacation coming up in early July. It's for about a week so I won't be out long. I'll be working on some commissions and a Miranda animation before then. Ideally, I want the Miranda animation finished before I go, but if it's not done, I'll at least give you guys a WIP of it. I'm pretty excited about this one. I overhauled the visuals and the mood pretty late into animation. I've implemented some features from Blender that I haven't used much like irradiance volumes for better indirect lighting, volmetric lighting, and particles for the rain. This is the first full animation I've done with the NLA editor too.MegaGo give ChloeAngel a big hug for this one! It was going to be a shorter loop, but she provided so much audio that I had to extend it.

Jill Update

Quick update on the Jill animation. I'm finishing up some of the last details on the animation and making one more pass at everything. It should be another day or two to complete and then next is to render and edit. A reminder that it is a slightly longer animation at 25 seconds.

I want to give another update how things are going and what I'm trying to do for this month.Right now, I'm still working on the Jill animation. I know this is kind of par for the course, but it has taken longer than I was planning on. It's not so much bad management this time though as it is learning. There have been lots of quirks to the NLA editor that I've had to figure out. Every time I thought I had it figured out, something else seemed to mess up. It's been about 10 days since my last update, so before it goes too long without one, I'm making this post.My "short" Jill animation is now around 30 seconds long. It shouldn't be a surprise that hiring a voice actress immediately added way more audio than initially planned. This is only about half the audio she sent too, so I still had to cut loads. Project WIPS
