Cammy [Poll Illustration - WIP]

Since Cammy was clearly the winner I decided to start working on this before the poll ended. Unfortunately, I don't like this very much since it ended up being really boring, but here you guys go for now until I do a version 2 at some point.

Glasses Girl Timelapse

Been busy recently so I forgot to post this on Monday, whoops.Shinji timelapse goes up on Monday

Monthly Character Poll #2!

The characters for this month's poll are going to be Venti from Genshin Impact, Tatsumaki from One Punch Man and Cammy from Street Fighter! You can vote for more than one, but remember that voting for all three is the same as voting for no one at all!The poll will end next Monday!

Shinji - Poll Illustration [Full Res]

Timelapse will be up next Monday (October 8th)

Shinji - Poll Illustration

Done with Shinji! Not super proud how how this one came out since I didn't capture much of what I had in my head originally and was mostly just winging it by the end, which is great for experimentation, but not so much for creating a satisfying finished product. That being said, it is what it is and I'll just learn from the mistakes I made with this one. This may end up being one of the paintings that stays Patreon exclusive forever, but I'll see how I feel about it by the end of next month.Process video will be up next Monday (Octob...

Shinji [Poll Illustration - WIP]

Another update on this one, not really feeling it, but I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. I'll try to make it up with next month's

Tongue Girl

I actually don't know what her name is, but this is @odorumaatyo's OC. I drew her in return for the birthday present that he drew me a few months ago, since today is his birthday!I didn't feel like it made sense to make this one early access, considering that it's a birthday present, but the timelapse for this will be up this coming Monday for silver patrons

SweetCanvas Weekly #5

Did a lot of writing again, but since there are other tangible things to mention I don't feel like opening up the files to see how many words it was, doubt that's interesting information to anyone anyway.Updates since last time: Last three Io outfits are in the flats stage for her default sprite (available for bronze patrons), meaning that I now have all the outfits that I'll need for the demo visualized. Now they just need to be translated to the rest of the alt sprites! Kana's Arcade outfit has been drawn for two of her alt sp...

Rock Miku Sketch [WIP]

Was considering scrapping this one because it felt kind of uninteresting, but I think that all I need to do to fix that a bit is either change the crop or expand the canvas an obnoxious amount in either direction, so I'll probably return to it after Shinji

SweetCanvas Popularity Poll #2

Some of you might remember that I've done this before, but since it's been a while and we have a lot of new faces in the Patreon compared to then, I was interested in how much the results may have changed, if at all.For anyone who hasn't memorized their names, from left to right it's:Io, Kaela, Kana, Isa, Alys, Peal, Kyt and Beth.Of course, you all still don't know very much about anyone, so it's completely fine to just vote for whichever design you like the most!I'll probably do a side character poll at some point a...

Io Sprites [WIP]

The remaining three outfits that I need for Io's appearances in the demo. Now I need to get through painting all of them for her base sprite, then translate those outfits over to her alt sprites.Actually designing and painting the outfits the first time tends to take the most time compared to painting them again on the alts, so I consider this to be a large part of the work done.

Shinji [Poll Illustration - WIP]

Cleaned it up a little more and did flats. The pink version is actually the original, with the redder one being color corrected, but I don't actually know which one I'll end up using. Will probably decide as I get further into the process

SweetCanvas Weekly #4

Sorry for skipping last week's update, I didn't have the energy at the end of the day on Monday because I spent the whole work day writing and then continued up until I went to sleep, and then on Tuesday it was the same, so by that point I was like, I'll just wait until next week.Notable updates: Sketched the Dream CG Finished the sketch for one of the Pictogram event CGs that I had forgotten to list while writing up the big update Started planning out the Group Studying CG, but it's not at a stage where I'd post the sketch ...

Water Miku Timelapse

Water Miku [Full Res]

Timelapse will be up soon

Water Miku

Wanted to make something quickly for this designFull timelapsed process video is up right now for silver patrons

Water Miku [WIP]

Was compelled to do a quick thing of the water type trainer Miku design today, should probably be done by tomorrow (maybe)

Shinji Rough Sketch [Poll Illustration - WIP]

Roughed out an idea for this! I considered starting over to possibly explore something more interesting/ambitious, but I also have SweetCanvas stuff to work on, so I shouldn't act like I have unlimited time to do these

Common - Isa's Pictogram | CG Sketch

Another part of the set of Panel CGs related to the Pictogram event. Was part of the way complete as a sketch for a while along with the other ones, but I put it off to do other things for a bit

Poll Winner!

Shinji has won the character poll! Meaning that he'll be the focus of the designated illustration for this month!I chose those three characters specifically because I thought it would be close, but it ended up being way closer than I expected, with multiple three way and two way ties along the way.I had actually decided to start drawing one of them in advance just to get ahead of things if it seemed obvious who was going to take it, but I didn't end up being able to do that.Updates on the progress of the illustration will be available f...

Peal - Ramune | CG Sketch

This is one of the CGs on the list of things to be completed for the demo btw, it's just called something else there

SweetCanvas Weekly #3

I spent the majority of the week writing again (to the point where I forgot to post this because I was writing up until I went to sleep last night), although honestly a lot of it ended up being rewriting since I kept changing my mind on how to portray a specific event with Alys, plus I went back and made some of the earlier stuff read slightly better as I tend to do every now and then. It's like repainting an old drawing.Although, all that is kind of difficult to quantify or even check at all, so I won't.Anyway, as far as art goes all I...

Eyescube Commission [WIP]

Another update on this one. Admittedly not executing on the idea as well as I would have liked to/know I'm capable of, but it's a commission so I'm also not going to start the process over, since at that point it would be better to just refund it.

Monthly Character Poll #1!

Like I said in the last update post, monthly character polls are making a comeback! At least for now anyway. It will take some time to figure out if anyone's actually interested. This month is Lusamine from Pokemon Sun and Moon, versus Shinji from Evangelion, versus Lilith from Darkstalkers!I don't think I need to explain too much about how these work to you all, but I'll do it anyway:Every month I'll be choosing three to four characters to go head to head in a poll. The winner of each poll will get their own full illustration, a...

SweetCanvas Weekly #2

I spent the vast majority of this week writing, because that's just what I was in the mood to do, but there were a few other things: Sketched out a Torin Panel CG Alys's Movie outfit is now fully rendered on her default sprite Touched up some other minor details on BB, Alys and Kyt's sprites. And that's it art wise. As far as writing goes, I wrote 6,108 words this past week (out of what I ended up keeping in the final script).I also updated the SweetCanvas website finally to include a few snippets of dialogue, on top of adding Ha...

Nari Flats [WIP]

Decided to take some time to put flat colors to Nari's design since it had been floating around in my head for a while.

SweetCanvas Weekly #1

"Weekly SweetCanvas Update" felt like too long of a title, so I'm just going to be calling them weeklies. These will be Patreon exclusive for the most part, unlike the big update which is early access. Also, I know it hasn't been a full week yet since I posted that last update, but I figured that it would make the most sense to post these on Monday, so, here it is.Anyway, I won't ramble in these like I do in the larger updates, I'll just be listing the progress since the last post and then what I'll probably be doing n...

Io Nightgown [WIP]

This, plus her work outfit for Day 9 are both in the flats stage now, meaning that I need four more outfits for her base sprite (I need them for her other sprites too, but one step at a time):

Eyescube Commission [WIP]

Update on this commission thing. Need to work out some kinks in it, but I like the overall direction it's going in, will just come down to execution

Chun-Li [Scrapped]

Bronze exclusive Chun-Li painting. This is in the bronze archive but I figured I'd post it here, since I don't remember posting this rough version of it here before.Probably not going to return to this one, but I'll eventually draw Chun-Li again, either as part of the polls or if the feeling overtakes me.
