For this illustration, I referenced quite a lot of photos from a different photobook. Still, modifying the poses of real people to fit character illustrations was a tough process. I found myself wondering: why are character heads so big and their facial areas so small...?I rendered it assuming a strong side light. I worked in detail on the important parts of the rendering, but since I'm not used to that process yet, it was quite a struggle.
