[WIP] Happy puffin

[wallpaper] Happy puffinThere have been quite a few requests over the years to see this bird at my style. I knew about this bird, but this is my first time drawing :DPuffins are small seabirds who have large beaks that get brightly colored during the breeding season. There are three species of puffin. They all have impressive eyes. Very pretty. This bird is famous for its somewhat worried face, so I focused on making it look happier.I thought a lot about which of the three background colors to choose. At this stage I stare at the monitor for 30 m...

[WIP] Blue-ringed octopus

Related post[ wip/ Time lapse ] Polka dot octopus[wallpaper] Blue-ringed octopusThe reason for this modification at the sketch stage is to create a simpler silhouette. The right side will look less complicated and cute when completed than the left.I was able to draw the octopus' head completely smaller and more rounded. This makes it even cuter. But this time I wanted to give them a bit of a pointy feel as well. Because they're pretty dangerous guys. (Still, it is much more round-shaped than an actual octopus)This octopus is famous for i...

Related post [ wip/ Time lapse ] Polka dot jellyfish [ wip/ Time lapse ] Polka dot sharkThis is the polka dot series that follows.DrawingOctopuses have very long, flexible and complex-looking legs. To avoid looking too complicated when silhouetted, characterizing them makes their legs much shorter than they actually are.
