[wip] Mudskipper

One of my favorite sea fish is goby. I've always wanted to draw a goby. This is a sketch of mudskipper that I uploaded years ago. Here is a cute youtube link about them.Mudskippers: The Fish That Walk on Land | Life | BBC EarthA Mudskipper Battle | South AfricaIt's really cute how they roll around in the mud to stay hydrated. And spitting mud to build a house. They are amphibious fish.I expressed their pectoral fins a little differently than when I usually draw other fish. Just like the frog I usually draw. It's really cool that they&#...

[ wip ] Coral (Anthozoa)

[idea sketch] Corals and Planktivore[ wallpaper ] CoralAbout a year has passed since the day I sketched the idea!I thought that I would like to finish it this summer.I've tried to include as many corals as possible, which were requested in comments last year. Some corals were inevitably replaced with similar relatives😅Many people mistake them for plants, but they are animals. Probably everyone here knows it well. Their impact on the world eco system is so great but they seem to be one of those animals that are underestimated. They are thr...

[doodle] Funky lil dude

Hot earthDoctor and patient (Yes, doctor is Garra Rufa)Pop popIn Korea, woodlouse is called Rat's daughter-in-law. this name was given because they were unable to move in front of mice, just like the daughter-in-law in front of their mother-in-law.What the mouse says "Soup is salty(국이 짜다)" This has the implied meaning of doing it again because the soup made by woodlouse is not to the taste of mice. It's kind of a typical mother-in-law meme in Korea. But I also keep thinking about to happy woodlouse married to a mouse...Th...

[ doodle ] June

And it's already half of year.I don't know why time is so fast!I recently changed my insta/twitter bio.My characters sometimes represent me, but mostly don't.Axolotl kiki only breathed, but the artist who drew this worked hard.Axolotl kiki slept hard, but the artist who drew this worked hard.Work-life balanceThe person who drew this is in the very middle area.just kidding 😂What's happening?Other social media version.By the way, I've never used a face filter myself😂MBTI has been very popular in Korea for a few years now...

[ Study / drawings ] Gull

From a very long time ago, I thought I should draw a seagull.I think I feel that way every time I go to the beach.I probably thought about this last summer and the summer of the production year as well. I decided to draw them in this summer.I sometimes feel that seabirds look like fish...Mainly land birds feel soft, but seabirds feels particularly slick to me.So this time, when I draw their wings and body, I plan to design them as smoothly as possible. It seems that most of the time I have drawn birds so far, I have drawn them in a sitting posit...

[ idea sketch ] Candy tadpole

I suddenly thought I should draw some tadpoles. There is no reason, but there are times when I just suddenly feel that way I should draw specific animals.. This is probably a common occurrence for animal artists.(?)I wanted to draw it like a shiny little candy in pastel tones. The color came to mind first, so I drew the color thumb first.A little study before drawing a tadpoleThe side view of a tadpole is almost like a fish.Perhaps the deformation of the tadpole we are familiar with is the view of the tadpole from above. So if I design a characte...

[wip] Ferret

💙 [wallpaper] FerretOriginally, I planned to draw wild weasel, but suddenly I remembered that there were many people who said they wanted to see the ferret in my style. Some patrons here have mentioned to me about ferrets before. I finally drew them😂In Korea where I live, people who grow ferrets are quite rare. So I've never actually seen them. Instead, thanks to the Internet, I often watched cute videos and photos. Their flexible and elongated body is impressive.Their species is the same(Mustela furo), there are several breeds based ...

[wip] Otter

Relate post : [wallpaper] OtterOtter received the most votes as a result of a recent vote. The weasel was winning in the middle, and I already have some weasel sketch, so I'm thinking of drawing the weasel next time. As I am drawing these two animals one after another, I see similarities and differences.Otters and weasels look very similar. They are actually related, because both Mustelidae. The big difference is that otters are larger, and they spend a lot of time in the water, their feet look good for water activity.Like the penguins I dre...
