[ wip ] Stabby marine life

It's a spooky marine creature for Halloween season :DColor palette is very simple.+ Bright fluorescent sky blue and magenta are added as the point color.SketchCute eye patch and kawaii bandage..I got an idea from the 'super cute snail' I drew a while ago. When I was in middle school, gothic shōjo manga were quite popular, and I was influenced a lot.I used to draw boys and girls with eyepatches and a lot of bandages on their knees..😂😂 (and yes, a lot of blood too)I think this kind of accessory was popular in Harajuku fashion a ...

[wip / doodle] balls

+ and six fan art challenges The way I draw doodle is a little different than usual my art style.I used to drawing fan art as a hobby, this light art style was created for speed drawing to effectively express emotions rather than good quality and perfection. I feel comfortable drawing like this when I doodles.I thought there might be someone curious about the process, so I prepared it.When coloring, you can make light from the dark, or make darkness from light. If my usual style is close the former, this is the latter.1. [ idea sketch ] fruits & marine life gummy

It's an idea sketch about marine life with fruit in its name.I've been thinking about a short illust project about sea turtles who making snacks. So, This is a setup made by sea turtle.Because so many turtles ate plastic, they started selling safe food themselves. The packaging is made of agar, not vinyl.I drew milk pack or gummie that we can easily see... it feels so factory-made. Maybe it's better to feel more like homemade feels.(or not? We tend to like familiar and friendly things.)Thank you!

How I draw a snail

First of all, I want to say that this is not a tutorial.Because sometimes the animals I draw are anatomically inaccurate.Look at this example.(Giant African Land Snail)'Technical knowledge' is sometimes a double-edged sword. It helps us to express accurately. It also interferes with free imagination someway. This doesn't mean to ignore studies Anatomy.Structural understanding is very very very important. But I want to say it's not absolute. We admire the realistic and elaborate paintings from great painter,At the same time, we love c...

[wip / wallpaper] Sea turtle

Originally I was going to work the next sticker pack. But I suddenly thought I hadn't drawn reptiles for a long time.So I started sketching for fun.....the color thumbnail came out...I think I've told you this before.I used to be a concept artist in a movie where sea turtles are the main characters, so sea turtles is one of animals I can draw with my eyes closed. (Unfortunately, the movie was not released)The design became more round than the turtle I had drawn before.Compared to the past, my design is becoming simpler and more round the...

[wip / wallpaper] Banana cichlid

It's the last freshwater fish and fruit series!I didn't draw Lemon Tetra this time, but I'm thinking of drawing several Tetra in one frame like killifish painting.. so maybe that time, i'll draw them!In fish community here, we called this fish Banana ciclid, so I thought it was a real name, but wiki said the exact name is Electric yellow cichlid. And there is an aquatic plant called Banana Lily(Nymphoides aquatica)..I had to added them😂The white part of the peeled banana doesn't seem to distinguish well from the background...

[wip / wallpaper] Strawberry peacock cichlid

It's the third fresh water fruit series.Cichlid is probably one of the fish I've drawn the most except guppy and corydoras.Perhaps the characteristic of freshwater fish that I draw a lot is that it is a fish that I have or just dream fish I never can't raise😁The next work I'm going to draw is also a banana cichlid. They're so pretty.. oh no, actually all fish is so pretty in my eyes. The fish mostly had red fins, which were modified to make it look more like strawberries.Real fish looks like this : google image linkThey rea...

[ wip ] Baby jellyfish

Baby jellyfish(아기 해파리) was the trend on Twitter in Korea.ଳ ଳ ଳ ଳ ଳ <- Because this special character was popular today. As soon as I saw this, I wanted to draw a small jellyfish quickly.Well, to be exact, baby jellyfish is Ephyra, Anyway, we call small things babies...Like this, I sketched it as if a jellyfish was coming down from top to bottom. It's almost dinner time here, so I thought it'd be cool to see it in Twitter's dark mode.Eventually, I just changed it to a darker background.I drew some moon jelly in a si...

[wip] Cherry shrimp and Cherry barb

Comparison with Color Thumbnail of Idea Sketch. It's very similar, right? As I say many times, you can complete it very efficiently if you decide in advance how to paint it before you start drawing it.🍒* Tips : How to choose colorsThe color of the shrimp's antenna has been changed to green.Their antennas aren't really that color, but It's for looks more cherry-like :)They are slightly darker than fruit because they are similar to cherries but need to stand out more than cherries. They are actually as small as cherries.Cherry bar...

First artwork from Freshwater fruits series! When I sketched this idea, I totally forgot the Apple snail.Fortunately, I found a sketch on my notepad, and I finished it first :DThey are real freshwater snails. (It's also called Mystery Snail in English.)I didn't know why it was called Apple snails...Because there were only one yellow types in Korea. (because they were banned now!)So, when I found out that Apple snails had many different colors, I had a desire to paint them all in different colors, but I had a hard time holding them back.I...

[idea sketch] Freshwater fish and fruits

When animals and fruits are together, they are twice as cute😁If you don't know freshwater fish well, it could be an unfamiliar animal.Maybe some are not exact names, but nicknames from fish community.Maybe your country calls them by a different name.I've never raised other than cherry shrimp here, but I've always love to see many pictures of fruit-name animals because they have pretty colors.Originally, I thought about fruit desserts and fish. Like the fruit frog series I drew last year.But... Since fish often come out as food ju...
