Workout with the Champ
Machop, Machoke and Machamp have finally been updated!Although they don't have entirely new sprites (just more polished than before), these three have been on my radar for a do-over for quite some time now and with Maylene being the next Sinnoh Gym Leader to challenge us, it seemed like a perfect chance.Great care was taken to try and figure out what exactly the original artist's intent was with their outfits. I hate to be negative because all Moemon are beautiful in their own way, but Machoke has one of the absolute worst designs out o...
Rosebowl II
Budew, Roselia, and Roserade have been reworked / updated!Okay, I said I was just going to quietly and quickly update this set with a few slight changes, but it turns out I totally forgot Budew existed - I mean, I totally forgot Budew had received a brand new sprite and there were actually a lot of issues with the set that needed to be fixed. What's new: Budew has an entirely new design, like other reworks go, there's basically nothing left of the old model, except an outfit slot or two. Roselia and Roserade both have updated face and bo...
Eterna Gardens
Eterna City Gym Leader Gardenia is here!I mentioned this over on our Discord channel that you should totally join, but while "researching" Gardenia for this release I realized that the black part wasn't a bandana but her actual hair, or at least, I was the only one who thought so as literally every other art piece out there shows her with black hair.Which leads to the next point, but there is a decently large amount of fan art for Gardenia out there, or at least, more than I would have expected. I used tons of available artwork as r...
Cherry Berry Delight
Cherubi and Cherrim (Overcast + Sunshine) are here!(How long has it actually been since we released a Grass type? Months, it feels like!)Happy Tuesday everyone! Yes, yes, technically speaking Gardenia's signature battler is Roserade, but both her and her pre-evolution, Roselia, are fairly satisfactory and if I re-touch them at all it's only to give them a slight face/body and maybe hair update, but not a whole rework (they don't even have no sprites). That said, Gardenia still uses Cherubi and it's a new set we haven't done ...
O'er the Rampardos We Watched!
The Oreburgh City Gym Leader, "Gemma" Roark, accepts your challenge! While I've never actually played the main title Gen 4 games I can say with confidence I know a tomboy when I see one and minor details aside Roarke is pretty flamboyant as it is, are we absolutely sure Roark isn't canonically a female? Well I won't make fun of him too much. Maybe it's just me, but there were a few others I always thought were actually female (like Bugsy, in Gen 2), but was wrong about.Anyways, while I took some inspiration from this fana...
Knuckle Heads
Cranidos and Rampardos are here! Finally, our first set of Fossil Moemon since.. Who even knows when? It sure took forever for them to actually receive some sprites, and now that they're here we're finally able to properly tackle the Sinnoh League, and these are our first opponents.Properly, both Cranidos and Rampardos wield a giant mace designed around their unique characteristic. While it's a neat option that is somewhat shared between their counterparts, Shieldon and Bastiodon (who is another Sinnoh League Gym set coming up), ther...
Winter Princess
Cryogonal is here!"Who?" You're probably asking yourself? Maybe? I dunno, I never played Gen 5 so I don't even know how relevant she is. But after cross-referencing the data, she definitely appears to be everyone's favorite single-family, no-evolution having, non-version-exclusive Ice-Type (Pretty sure that means there's only one, after all). Honestly, it almost seems unfair that there are some 'Mons that don't have any evolution but solely exist as a gimmick for that region's environment. But she actually doe...
Update #53 - Sinnoh League
Happy New Years everyone!I'm excited to share the news that we finally have the Moemon sprites for the signature partners of each the Sinnoh Gym Leaders as well as the Elite Four, of course. Previously, we've only had Cynthia, and a re-release of her just recently, but now it's time to finally include the entire League. Female versions of course. There's some concept art and sprites out there for genderbent versions of most Gym Leaders which I'll be taking some inspiration from, but in some cases I'll do entirely original...
Ring in the New Year!
Chingling and Chimecho have been reworked! These two have some of the biggest sprite reworks to date (compared to their old versions) and it's the perfect occasion to give them some love!Chingling herself uses a recoloring/edit of Xiangling's hair (appropriate if you think about it.. Chingling, Xiangling, Chingling, Xiangling..) since it worked out just a little bit too well to pass up on. Bells and whistles included. Chingling also happens to be the tiniest body yet, just under 3'5", and I think she came out absolutely adorable ...
Aurora Princess
Suicune has been reworked!Merry Day-After-Christmas, everyone!Suicune (and the other Legendary.. dogs?) received new sprites awhile back and I've been looking for an excuse to renovate them. While Suicune actually has very little to do with Winter (she's not even Ice-Type lmao), she is known as the Aurora Pokemon and, well, I dunno you tend to see Auroras the further north you go, which is also snowy? North Pole? She has an experimental custom outfit, since she is capable of manipulating water / rain, one of her sets is a sort of.. water...
The Sinnoh Santa
Sinnoh League Champion Cynthia has been updated!Inspired by a wonderful art piece by a (relatively) little-known artist -- Touyarokii --Cynthia has been slightly updated using a better hair mod, updated face/body dimensions, and better outfits, including this Christmas outfit shown above. While this wasn't planned at all, I came across this recent art piece and absolutely had to do a slight scene recreation of the image (I could have done a lot more, but this was SUCH short notice, I didn't have time!)Unfortunately I still have a very cr...
'Twas the Night Before Christmas (Eve)
Delibird has been reworked!Yes, I know, another rework. Come on, it's been like 3 years since Delibird has been released and she really needed an update. Besides, she has a super cute new sprite to work with. Which by the way, LOOKS easy, but try finding a top that fits appropriately. This is the closest I could get, honestly. And I tried! I'm super happy how she came out though. The only rule is: Don't take off her hat. If you don't want her hat, use her second outfit slot, which fixes her bald spot. But seriously, screw clippin...
Iceee to Meet Scue
Eiscue is here!...in Ice and Noice Form! This really wasn't supposed to come out so good. I mean, it's a joke, right? Eiscue isn't a real Pokemon, right? it's a joke that slipped in that they forgot to remove?Well, whatever, she's now the second cutest Penguin just after Piplup (maybe even MORE CUTE) and she's not going anywhere.Normally I make separate cards for Pokemon that have separate Forms, but Eiscue's outfit is exactly the same in the sprite and the only difference is.. Well, one has ice, one has.. no ice. And...
SnomSnomSnom
Snom and Frosmoth are here!Well, nothing will ever match the real Snom's adorableness, or even the real Frosmoth's elegance, but we tried. Frosmoth had to go through several iterations to get her right and last minute I found a way to get the gloves looking much better than using Capsule accessories (it looked really stupid, don't ask). Also, Snom's hat can be removed with Sub accessories.I've got a bit of the flu and don't feel like typing anymore, so I'll leave it at that.Enjoy!
Terror of the Frozen Winds
Mega Glalie is here! This took a bit longer to do since her chest simply would not cooperate. The way Body / Bra alpha masks work (or rather, DON'T work) in KK is ridiculously complicated and it's my least favorite part about this. Mainly because there is no reference template, and each piece is different. Believe me, I've searched for better methods on the official Discord and there simply isn't.But at the end of the day, we got it working, and that's all that matters. Although this is a relatively simple design, a Mega is a...
Whispers on the Frozen Winds
Snorunt, Glalie and Froslass are here!A slight update for Snorunt and a rework for Glalie and Froslass!Snorunt's only main significant change in her sprite was her skin color, which is now a pale blue. However, I've also updated her face and body model and also adjusted the hood accessory. I don't know why I used two hoods back then when all I had to use was one that was colored properly. I guess I released these so long ago I wasn't even doing that back then.Glalie was an absolute nightmare to get her outfit done right but I...
Absolutely Absolite!
Absol has been updated and Mega Absol is finally here!I was pretty meticulous about updating Absol since she's one of my favorites of all 1000+ Pokemon, so I took the original and scaled it down from about 20 accessories to about 5, back to 20, back to 8, and in other words, ended up changing the design multiple times before settling on the above. Mega Absol didn't even take as long. For Mega Absol, I thought about matching her horns with custom horn pieces, but considering we have the rare opportunity to use Mega Absol's actual horn...
Massive Mawmie Milkers
Mawile has been updated alongside a new Mega Mawile release!Like with Sableye, there hasn't been an updated sprite for Mawile (and I'm not sure there really needs to be for either of them), so instead of a rework, I've simply updated the old release. Updated body, face, with some minor adjustments to clothes, and primarily the addition of the ACTUAL Maw for Mawile, instead of a customized one. This reduces the Maw accessory count from 20 to 1. All that was altered was the coloration of the Maw itself, with a darker shade of grey (in...
Giant Gem Goblin!
Sableye has been updated alongside a new Mega Sableye release!Sableye hasn't received a new Sprite (yet) but she is deserving of an update, as she was initially released alongside Mawille 2 years ago this month. So, while she has the same clothes (actually, her gloves have been updated), most of her accessories were slightly altered/polished, as well as different hair, an updated body/face, and slightly darker skin (she was way too pale).Newly released is Mega Sableye, which, although isn't the craziest Mega (I mean, technically even he...
GalarGas&Co
Galarian Weezing is here! It's been awhile since we've done a non-Legendary single-release Moemon. I miss these. They were so quick to make. But eventually you run out of the Snorlax's, Skarmory's and Tropius', and all you're left with is entire 4-family sets like Ms. Mime and her whole family of Mime Jr. and Galarian Ms. Mime and Ms. Rime. Yeah that's my fault.Anyways, Galarian Weezing is pretty simple, actually. So much so that she was actually finished early yesterday and could have been posted but I couldn't t...
Marlboro Woman
Koffing and Weezing have been reworked!Wow, it actually has been just a little over 3 years since these originally released alongside Janine back in 2019. If I had time to do a comparison shot I would, but for now you can easily see the difference between the two by clicking the link. Some obvious, major improvements: better fitting clothes, appropriate boots, an actual cloak and poofy smoke balls floating around. I do recommend turning the "Breathe" options on in the AdvIKPlugin settings for both game and maker. Since the poison clouds ...
Stacked Attack!
Stakataka (UB: Assembly) is here!Another Ultra Beast is here! Unlike the others I've worked on before, I actually used additional artwork as inspiration for the overall 3D design, artwork that was made by the same artist who did this spritework; Fuwu. I never have the chance to credit many of the artists (mainly because keeping track of who is responsibility for which sprite is nearly impossible - especially since some are modified by other artists before being used in the Mega Moemon game), but Fuwu is one of the few whose art style should...
Sword & Shield
Honedge, Doublade and Aegislash (Shield + Blade) are here! These took forever to make >:(Well, mostly because I kept changing my mind on the design. I dunno, I feel particularly indecisive this week. Thankfully I actually ended up finishing them, but yeah, I really could have gotten them out a bit earlier, sorry. That's on me <.<I thought about making Aegislash just one Moemon with different outfit sets but I dunno, two sprites / two forms should mean two separate mons, right? Of course, the final decision came because of eye color. While Sh...
Cardpack Update v2.0
It's been a few months since the last release and there really isn't much of an excuse other than I just didn't have the time to package everything, but I've finally had a chance to get everything structured for this release. Before we get into what's new, I wanted to point out that this is version "2.0" and what that means. If you've seen some of the more recent card releases, you'll notice I've included a "watermark" at the top linking to this Patreon page. It's mainly been included so people...
Spirits Rising!
Dreepy, Drakloak and Dragapult are here!I'll be honest, I didn't think I was going to be able to get these out tonight. I didn't want to rush them because of how awesome their designs are, so I took my time. I could have gotten them out sooner if my PC didn't break the other day, but all of it worked out in the end.I won't go into large amounts of detail about this set, but just a couple of small notes: Dreepy's Going Home outfit has a more Sprite-appropriate hair piece. All three of them have pink eyeshadow to match the...
Thinking with Portals
Mega Gengar is here!Following up on our Gengar family release earlier this month, we now have her Mega evolution ready to go.Like certain other releases you can't really appreciate this until you view it in game or studio. Her default out has her full body available, but her secondary outfit (or Going Home) more closely matches her sprite, with invisible legs and a sort of "portal" that she has crawled out of. To turn her legs invisible, it uses just a simple material editor trick. To turn them back on, just turn off her leggings. I...
Automatic Defense System Activated
Golett and Golurk are here!Possessed Golems count are spooky right? I mean, they're Ground/Ghosts so it fits for Halloween, I think. Whatever. Listen, I've never actually played Gen 5 so I never used these two, but I was really fascinated with their designs, particularly their original appearances. Among all the newer designs that don't really feel like Pokemon, these two stand out for being pretty close to the original spirit of the game, in my opinion.I spent a decent amount of time on these two but, while they are ready for relea...
Goth Girls
Gothita, Gothorita, and Gothitelle are here!I've never actually played Gen 5 or 6 when these were more readily available, so I never actually caught them, in fact I didn't really even know they existed until recently. I don't even know where they appear in the Moemon FireRed romhack. But after doing some research into them, I can say confidently that I LOVE THEM.Gothita, the Fixation Pokemon. Gothorita, the Manipulate Pokemon. Gothitelle, the Astral Body Pokemon. They just sound like your typical/average goth chick. They easily fixat...
Upper-Class Arachnids
Spinarak and Ariados have been reworked! Not much that really needs to be said about these two, except that they're exponentially more polished than their previously release 3 years ago. Of course, they have brand new sprites that justified this rework, which are beautiful! I tried a couple of different things for their "fangs" and I'm not exactly satisfied with either, but I'm not necessarily disappointed either. Spinarak uses Majin hair pieces while Ariados uses fang shapes, and you can decide which looks better. Also I have...
Weigh Anchor
Dhelmise is here!I have been working on a few other 'mons the past couple days and got so caught up in them I realized I wouldn't have anything to post for awhile, so I started Dhelmise last night and applied some finishing touches this morning. Just in time!Did you know Dhelmise is Ghost/Grass? Yeah, I mean, I THOUGHT she was Ghost/Water but I guess the "Ghost" part of her is actually the seaweed? According to the Pokemon Moon Dex entry:The soul of seaweed adrift in the waves became reborn as this Pokémon. It maintains itself ...
