Traditional- Memory

Last one for now. More watercolour, though this time I kept myself to only two brown shades for a 'sepia' or 'old photograph' look. I like how the two shades played together here.

Traditional- Another Sundress Toriel...

Since I had decided not to use the other image, I wanted to try again. This picture is closer to what I wanted, but I made some mistakes on it and don't want to use it either. I had Toriel's expression be similar to the first drawing because I liked it so much but... I don't feel this picture works very well, overall. Her proportions are a bit off still, and while I like the colouring on this better it's still not what I wanted overall.It also doesn't help that this picture was done on the wrong type of paper- I had a piece ...

Traditional- Pool Nap

I had a set of actual non-pencil watercolours arrive in the mail and used them on this piece. I'm generally pretty satisfied with how this came out- I had another sketch of the same concept, but I wasn't feeling how it looked at all.What I'm really happy about with this is the subtleties of the colours and washes in places- things like how the visor slightly shades and also tints the face, or how the water obscures the items submerged beneath it. Traditional- Practice

Initially intended for the artbook, but decided against it after sketching them out. With the Toriel I wasn't satisfied with the proportions and with how I had drawn her (though I very much liked the face). With the Asriel... I was thinking of using it, but then I spilled ink across the picture...I decided to slap some colour on the Toriel anyway as practice. Used the watercolour pencils again- it has a nice selection of pinks and purples, but I think I use a bit too much pink and purple in my art these days.

This one is Prismacolour marker! Not quite finised, so consider it a preview. Some Bleed proof white used for highlights.It's interesting sometimes how markers interact with each other. I was able to do a somewhat decent rimlight effect with the pale blue/green on top of the yellow.

Traditional Art- Work Out!

Doing an Undertale artbook project with a friend with the theme being fashion/outfits. This is the first piece I did for it, scanned during different stages of progress.This was done with watercolour pencils, bleed proof white ink, and PITT pens for (some) outlines.I think I've described this before but the way I used the watercolour pencils was by heavily drawing in squares on the side and then lifting the colour with a wet brush- you can see the swatches in some of the scans here, actually. More Marker Sketchbook!

More three colour palette challenges- I used sanguine coloured PITT pens for linework on the corner. Excuse the stupid pun name for that pallete, opportunities like that don't present themselves much.

A page of my marker based sketchbook! Upper corner is an attempt at drawing my rat, Havarti, though it's a bit off since the booger never stays still. I'm at least happy with how the colours blended on it.The bottom two are three marker pallet challenges (white and black ink don't count for the purposes of the challenge)
