Painting a Battlemap: The Floating Market
Hey all, as we bring 2019 to a close, I've finally managed to record myself drawing and painting a whole map and uploading it to YouTube. I get asked for a 1x video of my painting process regularly, so I hope it's something you enjoy watching.
Roadside Rest Interior (Knight)
The road ahead is bound by snow, a winter flurry that has left it all but impassable. The inn bustles with merchants and travelers forced to take a well-deserved break from the elements, and weather the storm indoors, yet while the time is lost, much more is gained in camaraderie, drink, food, and gifts that have mysteriously appeared beneath the non-denominational Candlenights tree at the center of the inn. Gifts for worshippers of all faiths, and those with no faith at all, regulars, and some still awaiting lodgers that have not yet arrived. ...

The gentle lapping of the water is quickly drowned out by the overwhelming cacophony of the merchants and tradesmen hawking their wares to passersby on the docks and in their ships alike. To be honest, I don't have much experience with PDFs, but I think what I added will work and make it easier to print these maps. A windblown chill bites into your very bones this far north, snow piled high on all sides. There is little in the way of game, even for the party's skilled ranger, and a week's worth of making camp in this tundra is enough to wipe the smile even from the bard's face. But even here there are small mercies, a small snowbound inn along the road, twin plumes of smoke from the chimneys, and the faint glow on the windows bode well, as does the smell of baked ham just barely carried by the wind. Collapsing Cavern - Revised Variant
Hey all, I heard from a few of you about the line-less style of the Collapsing Cavern and I value both the support and criticism. I love being able to experiment a bit, and some things turn out better than others. In any case, I thought I would tinker with this one some more and after doing some lineart and a few mushrooms, I like where this ended up, plus I learned some new coloring techniques to add to my toolbox.I hope you all enjoy this variant of the Collapsing Cavern, exclusive to patrons :)

BYO Rustic Village Updated, Snow, and Night
Hey all, I did a few edits of the Build Your Own Rustic Village assets, adding a pair of Town Hall style buildings, and making a blue, snowy, and night-time variant of each. I've been wanting to do some more town and regional maps and assets ever since I did the Country Keep and Build Your Own Town Kit from awhile back, plus I finally got to play Breath of the Wild and really enjoyed some of the towns from that amazing game. While this isn't a depiction of Hateno Village, it's certainly inspired by it, and I hope that your party finds it a pleasant stop on their journey!Have a great Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans, and to everyone else, have a great week!

Snowy Shrine (Knight)
The softly falling snows atop this mountainside path do little to hide the strange beauty of the stone statues arrayed in this tranquil summit. A place of prayer or meditation perhaps for an order of monks long since disbanded. Or perhaps the strange features of these ancient stone faces intimate communion with the fae, or a darker worship. All that is certain is that this beautifully wrought monument to ages past has stood the test of time.

This messy study is innocent enough for an evil necromancer, even if the macabre display and notes indicate an unnatural interest in the use of corpses, but perhaps the lonely scholar that resided here simply has an infatuation with the mechanics of humanoid anatomy.
