Update 5-6-21

Feelin' kind of bleh but the fat drawings will continue until morale (hopefully) improves.Claire's proportions seem a little off around the shoulders. I may need to dedicate less horizontal space to her bust in the future or work out some kind of basic figure study for her or something: I don't really have a good, consistent method for women or her dimensions, honestly.

5-4-21 Update 2- More work in progress???

Trying to get the jump on moving the series of Genshin 'Plus' (Size) Drawings along, My idea for these is that I do a couple panels of 'plot' and then one big fancy painting of the altered character in a fancy promo-style image like I did for Xiangling. Now by that definition this is going to be a weird entry because it's not really going to have the big 'splash' image partly because of previous comments about BHM work and partly because the second character, Xingqiu is not a guy who would ever agree to try this stuff...

5-4-2021 Weekly work (Spoilers)

Don't read too closely if you don't want 'em I guess?

Update!

Hey everybody! I know Monday night is usually the night that I post my rough plan for the week's painting but I've been crazy tired for some reason lately and then was super busy today trying to get some contract work knocked out for a client. Don't worry though! When I get home from my part time job tomorrow I'll get something roughed in and posted for ya. Thinking about doing something with Claire this week; had an idea I've been saving for a while that should make for a humorous little two panel comic. Anyway, that's ...

Xiangling Plus!

And thus one of the stranger calamities to ever afflict Teyvat was unleashed upon the land.Or er... probably just on the female cast of Genshin because I'm not really into BHM art; sorry folks! For those of you who don't Genshin...Xiangling is an energetic and prolific cook who is known for the quality of her flavors but also her willingness to use literally anything that is remotely edible as an ingredient.Usually it turns out okay.Sometimes it doesn't.Xiangling and Genshin Impact are © Mihoyo Lmtd.Art By Flex Muffinator, not for u...

Update 4-29-21

Line art is basically done! Trying to bear down less while drafting; I think too much pressure is one my weaknesses and every time I try to train myself out of it, I wind up falling back into the habit. Oops! Might have to cut the extra 'panels' in order to give this the time it deserves. I'd like to get into a better habit of getting finished work to ya'll earlier.

Update 4-28-21

I'm running behind. It's my own fault, I was playing Genshin Impact. (In my defense I did get the limited banner character I've been coveting for 6 months tho, so there's that.)

Weekly Work 4-26-21

Oh! ALSO: Here's my plans for this week's drawing- Xiangling, the lovable but troublesome cook from Genshin Impact serving up a potentially unwanted new dish that's going to... do... fat stuff... I guess.

'You Are What You Eat' Bonus Round

This was actually the result of an experiment I've been doing to see if I can efficiently generate alternate versions in the process of making the core image for public release and I figured it would make a nice little extra 3k Watch Celebration Bonus for you guys who are helping me out a lot every month. (Thanks again by the way!)At some point in the future I would very much like to regularly offer patreon exclusive versions at one of my tiers at least but I don't know if I'm in a position to do it efficiently enough to make it one...

'You Are What You Eat' (3k DA Watches!)

*EDIT*- Rereading the dialogue after stepping away for a bit it felt REALLY clunky so I pulled a George Lucas and made some changes. Couldn't figure how to work in midichlorians though, so I guess its a failure. That's right! I hit 3000 Deviantart Watchers last week! (Or was it the week before? I'm sorry! I was really busy at the time!)The inspiration for this pic was pretty straightforward: My friend gave me a box of these little individually wrapped snack cakes that must be at least 20% air based on how insubstantial they seem. I t...

Update 4-23-21

I know you know I'm on it but I'mma show the evidence anyway. XD

Update 4-20-21

Trying a different haircut for the... main character? Victim? Eeeeh? Not sure if I want to go with this or switch back to the ultra short pixie cut. Sometimes I think pixie cuts are super cute and sometimes I feel like they're a little less feminine than I'd prefer. Whatever. I'm just an overthinker.

4-19-21 Weekly Project: 3K watch thank you.

I wish I knew how to make the composition a little more exciting but I think I'll just stay committed to a clear, neutral angle because 1) It will make the contrast between before and after images clearer and 2) I'm honestly kind o lazy. :POn a different note: I've been feeling like I might want to do a fan art series with Genshin Impact characters since that's a game I'm really into at the moment. I know I had some other anime characters I could do but Teyvat is calling me! Any objections?Anyway, that's that. Hope every...

Just realized I forgot to write any kind of easter wishes on this one. Man I've really ducked this up, haven't I?For patron use only, not for public distribution.

TBH- Easter Doesn't Make Sense Anyway

I mean... What DO eggs have to do with Jesus? (Please don't actually answer; I'm joking.)The point is- Yumi got tired of Claire hogging all the holidays and demanded a go at it. Unfortunately I was so caught up in other stuff that I forgot Easter was coming up? I blame the holiday itself; It's not very consistently themed.Art and Characters by Flex Muffinator; not for use without permission.

I may have backed myself into a corner with Yumi's Leggings... they look waaaaay too 'realistic' and I already flattened those layers for 'reasons.' :/ For patron use only, not for public distribution

The Sisters won the poll and will thus be stealing the holiday spot light for... sort of easter!

Sketch+ 4-10-21

"+" Because I did a little bit more work than just sketching. Going through some stuff at the moment so I drew this to try to relax and work on making my shapes more confident with less revisions (I tend to badly overwork my forms). Maybe the proportions still came out a little weird; I dunno. Not sure if I want to develop this into a full painting or not. Regardless, I think I might do something with Claire this week for post Easter nonsense; we'll see how I feel on Monday. Art by Flex Muffinator; patron use only; not for public dis...

Gintama- "If You Don't Read the Nutrition Facts It's Your Own Fault"

Kagura was the tied winner for last, last week's fan art poll so I decided to go ahead and draw her right after Faye. I was just going to have her generically pigging out on rice and stuff but that changed when debuiscool - from DA asked if I wanted to do an art trade. When I said I was going to be too busy this week working on this pic of Kagura, Debu was like "Oh, I love Gintama! Why don't we just do a collab then? " and so a fake plot for an episode of Gintama was born!Be sure to check out Debu's page if you want to see an...
