Wildcard Poll & Idea Submission Stuff
Morning! I wanted to do a poll on this idea. I'm pretty sure the more unifed monthly themes are appreciated for the sake of utility, but after doing it for a few months I feel like it might be good to reduce the themed maps to three per month and have one be a wildcard. This would give me some space to fit in the stranger ideas I come up with that don't mesh well into themes, or to work in requests from you guys.I'd also like to hear any suggestions - if anyone has any - for how I could improve the services I provide here, or the ut...
Gatehouse Bridge (33x22)
Good ... afternoon! Continuing with the greeco-roman canal-sorta city theme thing, this week's map is a city bridge over a gorgeous river with gatehouses on either side. Balconies attached to the guardhouses give a potential point from which to leap over onto the bridge, and a lowered dock on the left side grants easy access to the river. The Supporter-tier package comes along with nighttime and rainstorm edits, as well as the usual greyscale maps. The Enthusiast-tier variant is slightly more accurate to a busy medieval city - the river is ...

New map's here! Main post with details will be up as soon as I'm done uploading the files.
Boston & Surrounding Metropolitan Area (Fallout 4)
I'm allowed to have fun too, right? I made this about a week ago while pondering running a modified Fallout 4 campaign. Unfortunately, my friends either don't like Fallout or don't like it in the context of a role-playing game (because things like Bloatfly's biology or radiation burns are a lot worse when you have to deal with the direct consequences of it). Alas. I still made the map, though, and I'm still thinking over how many changes you'd have to make to Fallout 4's story for it to be 1) not completely awful 2) ...
Six-Pillar Street (17x33)
Aha. Last week's poll turned up "Marble cityscape", and it wasn't until after it won that I realized I didn't really know what I had meant when I wrote it down. I ended up settling on a greeco-roman sort of aesthetic. (I almost did an aqueduct in a more rural setting, but depending on how closely you want to stick to 'city'...)In any case, this is Six-Pillar Street. Though distinctly devoid of pillars, it is said that at one point, there were in fact six pillars standing in the square near the bottom of the map. Thes...

New map's finally ready! Main post will be up in a bit.
Snowdrift Cave (17x22)
Good morning! This week's map is a snowy cave carved into a mountain, spiraling down into a watery chamber. Three entrances to the cave - two wooden rocks and a third entrance with bright light spilling through - allows usage either as a crossroads or as a standalone chamber. If you want to use the map underground, the light shining from the entrance may be described as a bright crystal in the center of a small antechamber. And for variants... The Supporter-tier pack comes with two environments - a snowdrift-filled cavern and a normal rocky ...

March Theme Poll
I'm sorry I'm late on this. It was meant to launch last Sunday, but I slipped up and forgot about the submission box. Still time before next Sunday, anyways. Everyone can vote on as many options as they want. The one with the most votes come next Sunday will be the theme for the month of March! All maps in the month will revolve around the theme somehow. In the event of a tie, I'll flip a coin. If one of the tied options are patron-submitted, I'll default to it.There were no submissions for themes this month. Apologies to anyone...
Glacier (28x20)
This week's map has the most straightforward title I've ever given a map - it's a glacier. What more could you want? How about a glacier with caves carved into it, with winding icy pathways, with a big watery glacial lake of questionably-tolerable temperature? How about the most gorgeous mountains I've ever drawn? The Supporter-tier variants include this lovely glacier during the day and night, as well as a frozen lake edit for those who feel that the pathways don't have enough space to move around on by themselves. Plus, li...

Glacier - Preview
Taking variant ideas for this. Thinking so far: Giant ice float/island in the center Shadowy monster frozen in the glacier Camp setup to unfreeze said monster Bunch of caves in the glacier cracks? Maybe include that by default. Frozen lakeAlso, some dire penguins:HD 1 [4.5], Defense/AC 12, Morale mediocre, Move 20', Swim 60', Attacks peck 1d6 Leap: Jump 15' in any direction out of a body of water, automatically attacks Squawk: Alerts any other penguins (usually 3d6+3) within earshot when harmed. Dive: Cannot enter or leave water wit...
Mountain Monastery (25x20)
A majestic structure, built on an artificial plateau high in the mountains. Light streams through glass windows, filling red halls with brilliant light. Are the inhabitants hospitable? Or do their cellars contain secrets indescribable?I think this map probably took the longest to draw of all the maps I've ever done, but boy did it turn out nice. You get more than half a dozen points of entry - the cavern in the basement, through the front door, climbing or descending the cliffs, the path at the back-side of the building - you've got sev...
Mountain Monastery (Supporter)
Whoo, 30 frantic hours later and it's finally finished. I'll have the main post up in a bit.
Sketch Preview - Mountain Monastery
This is just a preview of what I'm planning this week. This is based pretty heavily off of Paro Taktsang, or the Tiger's Nest monastery in Bhutan - and more generally, on Tibetan architecture. It's such a gorgeous and unique sort of style. My only regret is that with the orthogonal perspective I use, I can't capture the detail and color of the walls and pillars as well as I'd like to.I'd like to hear it if you've got any suggestions for inclusion in this map, or variants you'd like to see! I'm still in the pla...
Mountain Steppe Stream (36x36)
Augh, my back. I mean, good morning! Febuary's Patron map theme poll turned out as 'cold mountains', so that's what we're doing this month. This week's map is a cold stream running down a rocky mountain. It actually isn't much of a steppe at all, but I only just realized that as I was typing this. Oh well.Out here in the wilderness, you never know what you're going to find. This spot could be ripe for an ambush, or simply as the place to spot the beast you've been tracking down. The old stone circle provides ...
Some early drafts, and also a frogge
Just a bit of fun. I'm playing with coloring and shading my sketches, to give myself a better feel for composition. These are a couple of the drafts I've done for the next map. What would you guys like to see in a rocky mountain steppe like this? Also, I was challenged to draw a frog without using a reference. I've never drawn a frog before, but I think it turned out cute.
Sand Tombs Pack (Free)
Hey, January is almost over. How'd that happen? Here's a 100% free map. This one's a bit of a followup to last week's Pyramid's Gates v2, now featuring the interior of the pyramid! And what's more, I made a fairly extensive pack of assets to go along with this - Enthusiasts will be able to construct their own tombs exactly like the ones included in this pack (or in any other shape), because every single part of these is provded as an asset. The Supporter-tier pack includes the False Tomb and the True Tomb - one significan...

Febuary's Monthly Map Theme Poll
Good morning! This is the first monthly map theme poll, going for Febuary. Rules are simple. Everyone can vote on as many options as they want. The one with the most votes come next Sunday (the 30th) will be the theme for the month of Febuary! All maps in the month will revolve around the theme somehow. In the event of a tie, I'll flip a coin. If one of the tied options are patron-submitted, I'll default to it.
The Pyramid's Gates v2 (40x30)
Far across the lone and level sands lies great temples built from limestone and sandstone - and though they lie in ruins today, they once rose far out of the desert with heights unmatched by any modern civilization. This is a free map that I started work on with the intentions of re-drawing one of my earliest maps - the Pyramid's Gates. This was the very first map I ever published, about a year and ten days ago, and I wanted to do a direct comparison between what I'm doing these days and what I did back then. I'm very happy with how ...

The 2020 Asset Pack, Redrawn
Two weeks later, and it's finally finished! This is a free pack containing almost every asset I've drawn over the last year, redrawn and touched up to match my current ability - a grand total of just over 500 assets. I decided to merge the modern and futuristic assets in with this pack, since a lot of them have overlap, so the zip file has everything combined, sorted into folders by item type. There's also a decent number of new assets that I drew for the sake of it.All token assets in this pack are provided in my old 100ppi (100x10...
The Complete Modern & Sci-Fi Archive
Contained in this 7z archive linked here is the entirety of the modern and sci-fi maps I've drawn over the last year in one place. It's a total of 22 maps - around half of the total I've drawn overall, I think. Some of these are super ancient and not nearly as nice as the more recent ones, but they're all there for completion's sake. Hope you enjoy it!The total list includes: The Boss's Office Chancellor Palpatine's Office Cyberpunk Bartending Map Desert Outpost Flood Channel Sector A Foggy Neon Streets The highway m...
Update!
Morning! It turns out that this is way too big a project to have finished in one week. But hey, despite a busy schedule, I've made a good bit of progress. Here's a before-and-after image of a fraction of the stuff drawn so far, and some other miscellaneous stuff. Some of these assets are super old - that fallen tree is something I drew a whole year ago. I've also been making some extra assets to fill in some gaps.ETA for the pack isn't clear right now. If I'm lucky, it could be next week. We'll see.
2021! Changes Planned
December is over, so it's a new year. I've put together something of a plan for reworking my setup here, based on what I've learned over the last year. Some of these are big changes, so they demand some detail.Major ChangesNarrower FocusI'm not going to be making sci-fi or modern content anymore. Apologies to everyone who had subscribed just for these, but this split in focus has been causing me so many issues and frustrating my efforts to improve my services that I could write up a whole post on it alone. Focus will be placed e...
Hoenn Region w/ All Anime Locations (Free)
I know I'm On Break™ for the month, but I received a neat commission request from someone who wanted to see a followup to the Sinnoh map I drew a couple of months ago - and I had been wanting to do another region for some time, it's just that my list of priorities is so long that it would've taken forever for it to come to the top. So, that's what I ended up doing this weekend.I'm sure the region itself needs no introduction. This is Pokemon's Hoenn region, set on a 10-mile square grid accurate to the scale of Kyushu, ...
Transparent Skyqueen Images
Someone requested a cropped version of an older map, the Skyqueen, that could be overlaid atop other maps. That's what this is! I feel kinda dumb for not including this in the initial release, actually. Anyways, all three decks are included. Go nuts.
