I had so much fun with this pose & the testing with the cross-hatching. At that point of my training, you can see I used to draw all around the character, it gives a ghosty feel, hehe!One of the biggest ass I ever drawn, I guess. ^^

Once again, a slight variation between the 2 versions, on the 1st panel. I thought the full face would seem much too similar with the face in panel 3. I drawn quickly the figure in the second panel as I knew it would be lots of work, saving time for the full sketch.

Anatomy with David Finch

You know I've been following the anatomy lessons of Proko for a while now, and he makes the viewers discover other artists, like the comic artist David Finch.I studied his video about male torso drawing, I thought I got what he presented but it seems to me I need more learning, haha! Anyway, here's what I produced, you can see how rough & basic the stuff has to be, before becoming the lovely pages of "NIMO" or "LUST" comics! ;-)

Actually these are the storyboards, with a clear difference on the first 3 panels (only 2 in the firs draft). It's rare to see me going so blank in the sketch for panel 5! I knew I'd have lots of work there so I saved it for the final sketch.For the record, I had real troubles with it, especially his face I could not render properly and I'm still not satisfied. BUT the final rendering + the colors make the whole page work, phew!

I'm still amazed by this fanart for today's throw back thursday, drawn 3 years ago. I was fascinated by the p0rnstar Ace Era who tattooed his butt this way. Love the leg spreading, full hairy on.I was also intrigued with the kinda Chris Pratt he could give me on some shots of his face, hehe!

From the latest page, panel 4 had 3 sketching sessions: 1st the actual sketch that served the real panel, where he sports all the outfit. Second, the very rough original version, quickly put in the storyboard (you'll see later) & then the naked version (I did a naked version of panel 2 too that you saw last month).I'm not totally sure about the tattoo as pubic hair, but it should remain officially when he's gonna get naked. He's really a character that's grown on me.
