Home Grown 0.1.4 - Game Download

In the last month I've been working a lot on the compost system, which was demonstrated in the most recent devlog video. Some vegetables (such as the potato and cabbage) now require a suitable soil quality to grow, which means you'll need to add compost to the soil. Buy yourself a compost bin, place it in the world, fill it with the compost of your choice (which you can also buy from the shop) and then use the bucket tool to spread the compost over the desired area. Different composts have different effects on the plants. You can also use the trowel tool to spread compost over a larger area.
If you'd like to try the game out for yourself, you can download it here:

Unzip then run the relevant jar file to launch the game. You’ll need to have Java installed on your computer for it to work.
A few things to note:
- Admittedly the game currently involves a lot of clicking. I'll be making some big changes to the tool system soon which will reduce the amount of clicking massively.
- Switching to the select tool to click on plants to see their health is currently a bit fiddly. Again, this will be improved in the tool system update.
- The more expensive plants require less watering than the cheap plants, and bring in more profit as well.
- When you close the game it automatically saves your progress for the next time you play. However, there's currently no way to switch saves at the moment so you can basically only have one save. Delete/remove the save file from the saves folder if you want to start a new garden.
Let me know if you find any bugs or have any suggestions.
Thanks as always for the support. Next up, I'm implementing the weeding system!
