Reese Witherspoon was an actress who started gaining popularity lately. For actors and actresses, it was hard to maintain fame in Hollywood because of the strong competition. The Showbiz was a brutal industry in that people come and go.
She didn't have any connections in this industry when she started. She was just a young woman who hoped to reach the stardom. She was a waitress in Los Angeles while looking for movies to participate in.
Her status was low compared to other actresses who had substantial connections in Hollywood. She was not like Angelina Jolie and Drew Barrymore who were from celebrity families.
Then, in September 1994, Reese met a director who was in his mid-20s. The director was serious and mature for his age. He had long patience despite Reese's dozens of NGs in the set.
His love for filmmaking was real. Perhaps that was the reason why Reese fell in love with the director.
She was thankful for the things the director did to her. Kazir Grey was one of the main reasons why she reached her current status.
She didn't regret meeting him. She didn't regret falling in love with him. She also didn't regret moving on and taking a step forward to heal her broken heart. The memories she created together with Kazir were a blessing.
This blessing of a man was something she didn't want to forget. One of her sweetest memories.
And now, Kazir was facing a scandal that could affect his career. The media started painting Kazir as a predator.
Knowing the director, Reese could say without hesitation that the allegations were not true.
In the grim dark world of Hollywood, Kazir was one of the people who maintained his humanity. He didn't sell his soul to demons.
Obviously, she understood that the media was spreading false information just to destroy Kazir. After all, who cares if the news were real? As long as the gossip was interesting, people would buy it.
A famous director who created blockbuster movie after blockbuster movie was now being persecuted as a predator.
His immense talent could become his downfall.

......
...
Reese was walking in the streets of New York to attend a fashion show. She was one of the ambassadors of the clothing brand and she had to walk on the runway. In a way, she was practicing her run/strut on the sidewalk to attract attention... If this was around 2020, then the streets of New York were probably not the right place to do so because New York would be considered a dangerous city around that year.
Anyway, Reese was practicing for a reason. Not caring about the people who took a glance at her. That was her intention anyway, to attract attention.
While doing so, Reese saw in the corner of her eyes two people who were approaching her. One of them was holding a camera.
"Tch..."
Reese was not new to this. She quickly recognized that these two people were paparazzi.
Reporters and paparazzi might have the same career but the first one was respected while the latter was not.
Reporters were usually working for news companies and maintained their reputation. However, some reporters resort to contemptuous methods such as stalking and false allegations.
If reporters had a bit of dignity, then paparazzi had nothing at all. The term paparazzi was never liked by any celebrities. They could never like paparazzi because most of them were stalkers who would invade celebrities' privacy just to acquire interesting stories.
Without any hesitation, the cameraman pointed the camera at Reese.
Reese didn't show any disgust. She was an actress after all. Although deep inside, she wanted to slap the two.
Thankfully, it didn't take long for her bodyguard to understand and block the two.
"Miss Witherspoon, can we ask you about Director Grey? Is it true that Director Grey forced himself to you in exchange for a role in Napoleon Dynamite!?"
"Hah!"
Reese uncontrollably snorted. That was the most outrageous thing she ever heard today. Kazir was never forceful... In fact, Kazir actually declined Reese's feelings twice before their relationship blossomed.
For Reese, those memories were beautiful. She couldn't accept that these two people were trying to dirty that wonderful moments she had with Kazir.
She glared at them.
Most of the time, she would never speak to these bastards and just leave quietly and peacefully. But not today, she was angry.
"What you're saying never happened. Kazir is a nice guy and he never did that to me. The fact that this kind of false information is spreading around shows how stupid the media is. I will sue your company if you try to bend my words."
She left quickly after that. She bit her lip in anger as she entered her car. Her mood went downhill.
As for the two reporters, well, they looked at each other.
"Is that enough?"
"Yeah, she said that Kazir is innocent so I guess we're clear."
"Do we really have to anger her? Why don't we just send a formal interview to her team so that we can interview her?"
"We have to capture her real emotions. Did you see what happened earlier?"
"Yeah, I had goosebumps when she glared at me."
"That's explain it."
The two reporters were actually from 20th Century Fox. Kazir was an important asset to the company and they couldn't let the director sink to the bottom of destruction.
Since the allegations were about Kazir taking advantage of actresses, why didn't they question the actresses who worked with Kazir instead? Just to find the truth.
........
.....
...
That day, news about the actresses who worked with Kazir was spread by Sony-Columbia, Warner Brothers, and 20th Century Fox. To clear Kazir's name, they decided to ask and interview every actress who worked with Kazir for the past decade.
