[EN]SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2 Dev Letter [vol.27]
🕑 Added 2022-01-20 09:17:16 +0000 UTCHello, I'm Satoh.
Happy New Year to you all.
The year 2021 has flown by in a blink of an eye, and it is now 2022.
In this new year, I'll be working hard on the game with renewed enthusiasm, and I would like to thank you for your support.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
As I mentioned in my New Year's greeting, I'm currently working on drawing the monsters for the 5th stratum,
and it looks like I'm only a few more monsters away from finishing that one.
I'm planning to add some new monsters to the final area this time,
so it doesn't mean that the monster design itself will be done, but I feel a sense of accomplishment when I see that the monsters I drew for 2 have piled up to almost 100.
In order to make this work even better than the first one, I'm gradually increasing the amount of time I spend on each monster to improve the quality of the monsters.
My own drawing skills and knowledge are also improving little by little, so I hope that this will also contribute to the high quality of the work.
After I finish drawing the monsters, I will start working on the event scenes between the main characters and the protagonist.
As with the previous work, I'm planning the scenes to be light in the beginning and more intense towards the end.
There's still a lot of work to be done before the fifth stratum is complete, but I'm going to make steady progress on the road to completion little by little.
In this letter, I would like to introduce two new monsters.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This is one of the new monsters, "Byakko".
It is one of the four sacred beasts of Chinese mythology, and is an attacker who fights by materializing his cultivated fighting spirit.
It's the perfect monster for this year, the Year of the Tiger in Japan.
This is another one of the new monsters, "Akaname".
He is a Japanese monster that licks bath stains to make them shine, and has a long tongue.
Although he is a Japanese monster, I tried to create a colorful and fun design.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,
I drew a "Brilliant New Year"-themed special illustration for you.
This is Light Spirit from the spirit monsters.
I drew this cheerful and fun monster with the hope that it would be a good year.
Light Spirit, an incarnation of light itself, is always cheerful, full of energy and eager to show off.
In contrast to Dark Spirit, whose entire body is wrapped in shadows, Light Spirit's entire body is shaped by the radiance of light.
The sparkling eyes and the engraving of the spirit on his cheeks are very distinctive.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
That's all for this letter.
I'll post vol.28 on around 2022/2/20.
This year, I would like to work hard towards the final stages of production so that everyone can enjoy the completed work.
Of course, I will post a letter every month to report my progress, so I would like to ask for your support for another year.
We are now in the middle of winter and new mutated viruses are raging.
Please take care and stay warm.
