A Slubbird Expose

But that wasn't to be, because he had barely taken three steps into one of the many laboratories when his world had gone dark.
When he awoke, he found that he was now a twisting, creaking beast of rubber, crudely shaped into a bird and unable to vocalise anything but grunts.
Stripped of his name, form and past, his new duty is to do nothing but entertain me - he can hop awkwardly and look delightfully rubbery, but that is all he will ever know of life from now on~
